Online monitoring of gases dissolved in transformer oil is widely applied.Improving the performance of dissolved gas analysis(DGA)‐based fault diagnosis methods by exploring new features of time‐series data has become an appealing topic.In this study,a new type of correlation features between characteristic gases was extracted from time‐series data based on the maximal information coefficient(MIC),and a fuzzy inference system was established.After the introduction of the principle of the MIC and a method for calculating the MIC‐based correlation features,the dominant symptom features that can be used to classify fault types were extracted through the receiver operating characteristic curve.Then,fuzzy rules were learnt,and a fuzzy inference system was designed.In addition,to improve the feasibility of the method,the Newton interpolation method was used for adaptation to the existing sampling cycle.The diagnostic results of the test data show that the proposed method has excellent per-formance and outperforms some prevailing traditional rule‐based methods as well as some artificial intelligent methods.The results also show that by exploring new cor-relation features from time‐series data based on the MIC,the performance of DGA‐based methods can be improved.

light is essential for life on earth.In mammals,light is sensed by three cell types in the retina:rods and cones transduce light for image visualization and perception,while intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells(ipRGCs)transduce light for non-image visual functions,including light entrainment of circadian clocks,pupillary light reflex and mood regulation(Do and Yau,2010;LeGates et al.,2014).Consistent with their functions,ipRGCs project directly to a number of subcortical brain regions,while rods and cones project to the lateral geniculate nucleus,which in turn projects to the visual cortex.

Serum hepatitis B virus deoxyribonucleic acid (HBVDNA) load is a critical index used to reflect the degree of viral replication in hepatocytes and to evaluate host hepatitis viral status. The risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) incidence or recurrence varies depending on whether the HBV-DNA load is high or low. Consistent with previous studies and expert opinion, a HBV-DNA level >2000 IU/mL was defined as a high HBV-DNA load in the current study.

A higher-order boundary element method(HOBEM)incorporated with analytical panel integrals related to translat-ing-pulsating source Green’s function is proposed for the hydrodynamic response prediction of ships advancing in waves.In this method,the 9-node bi-quadratic curvilinear elements employed to discretize the mixed-source/dipole boundary integral equation are mapped into the parametric plane through a coordinate transformation.Then in order to ease the numerical instability problem,a novel analytical quadrature is derived to calculate the influence coefficients by changing the integral order and using integration by parts.The singularity caused by infinite discontinuity is analyzed and eliminated by adopting some mathematical techniques.Through the calculations of panel integrals of Green’s function and its x-derivative,the analytical integral method is proved to be always accurate even for field points approaching the free surface,where numerical quadrature is impossible to give reasonable results.Based on this,a higher-order seakeeping program is developed and applied in the motion response prediction of two different types of ships(i.e.,a wall-sided ship Wigley III and a non-wall-sided ship S175).By comparing the computed results with the corresponding experimental data and numerical solutions of the translating-pulsating and higher-order Green’s function methods based on traditional Gauss quadrature,it is found that the HOBEM based on analytical quadrature is of better accuracy and stability.For the non-wall-sided ship,only the present method can produce reasonable pre-diction of motion responses,while obvious oscillatory phenomenon is observed in the results of the other two numerical methods based on Gauss quadrature.

Desulfurization of rejected electrolytic manganese metal by electroslag remelting furnace with a water-cooled electrode

Remelting rejected electrolytic manganese metal (EMM) scrap was investigated by electroslag remelting (ESR) process through industrial experiment. The results indicated that the ANF-6 slag (70 wt.% CaF_(2) + 30 wt.% Al_(2)O_(3)) and deoxidizer could promote the desulfurization of ESR manganese in an air atmosphere. Under an air atmosphere, the sulfur in the ingot decreased to 0.0534 wt.% with a desulfurization ratio of ESR manganese of 53.2% by using ANF-6 slag and water-cooled copper electrode electroslag remelting rejected EMM scrap, suggesting its efficient removal. The electroslag ingots exhibited uneven chemical composition in an air atmosphere and cooling condition of the ESR process. The metal manganese could be oxidized by electroslag remelting of rejected EMM scrap in an air atmosphere with MnO content in the final slag of 21.9 wt.%. Besides, the activity of MnO in slag increased with increasing remelting temperature, resulting in a reduction in the slag–manganese sulfur partition ratio and desulfurization ratio. Moreover, with the accumulation of sulfur in slag and the oxidation of metallic manganese liquid, the slag showed a lower cleanliness and more oxidation, leading to an increase in sulfur and oxygen content in the electroslag ingot with the increase in ingot height.

This paper proposes a new constructive texture synthesis steganographic scheme by compressing original secret messages.First,we divide the original message into multiple bit blocks,which are transferred to decimal values and compressed into small decimal values by recording their interval sign characters.Then,a candidate pattern is generated by combining the given source pattern and boundary extension algorithm.Furthermore,we segment the candidate pattern into multiple candidate patches and use affine transformation algorithm to locate secret positions on a blank canvas,which are used to hide the sign characters by mapping the candidate patches.Finally,we select the candidate patches with minimal mean square error to represent secret bits to generate stego image by image quilting.Extensive experiments demonstrate that compared with existing texture steganographic methods,our method has a better visual quality,higher embedding capacity and security performance,while maintaining strong anti-steganalysis capability.

Hard carbon(HC) is considered as a commercial candidate for anode materials of sodium-ion batteries due to its low cost and excellent capacity. However, the problem of low initial Coulombic efficiency is still urgently needed to be solved to promote the industrialization of HC.In this paper, 2,2-dimethylvinyl boric acid(DEBA) is used to modify the surface of HC to prepare HC-DEBA materials. During the cycling, the C = C bonds of DEBA molecules will be in situ electro-polymerized to form a polymer network, which can act as the passive protecting layer to inhibit irreversible decomposition of electrolyte,and induce a thinner solid electrolyte interface with lower interface impedance. Therefore, HC-DEBA has higher initial Coulombic efficiency and better cycling stability. In ester-based electrolyte, the initial Coulombic efficiency of the optimized HC-DEBA-3% increases from 65.2% to77.2%. After 2000 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1), the capacity retention rate is 90.92%. Moreover, it can provide a high reversible capacity of 294.7 m Ah·g^(-1) at 50 mA·g^(-1). This simple surface modification method is ingenious and versatile,which can be extended to other energy storage materials.

The exertion of superior high-energy density based on multivalent ions transfer of rechargeable aluminum batteries is greatly hindered by limited electrochemical stability window of typical water in salt electrolyte(Wi SE). Recently, it is reported that a second salt addition to the Wi SE can offer further suppression of water activities, and achieves a much wider electrochemical window compared with aqueous Wi SE electrolytes. Hence, we demonstrate a class of water in bi-salt electrolyte containing the trifluoromethanesulfonate(OTF), which exhibits an ultra-wide electrochemical window of 4.35 V and a very low overpotential of 14.6 m V. Moreover, the interface chemistry between cathode and electrolyte is also confirmed via kinetic analysis. Surprisingly, we find the electrolyte can effectively suppress Mn dissolution from the cathode, alleviate self-discharge behavior, and ensure a stable electrode–electrolyte interface based on the interface concentrated-confinement effect. Owing to these unique merits of water in bi-salt electrolyte, the AlxMnO_(2)·nH_(2)O material delivers a high capacity of 364 m Ah g;and superb long-term cycling performance > 150 cycles with a capacity decay rate of 0.37% per cycle with coulombic efficiency at ca. 95%.

In loosely coupled or large-scale problems with high dominance ratios,slow fission source convergence can take extremely long time,reducing Monte Carlo(MC)criticality calculation efficiency.Although various acceleration methods have been developed,some methods cannot reduce convergence times,whereas others have been limited to specific problem geometries.In this study,a new fission source convergence acceleration(FSCA)method,the forced propagation(FP)method,has been proposed,which forces the fission source to propagate and accelerate fission source convergence.Additionally,some stabilization techniques have been designed to render the method more practical.The resulting stabilized method was then successfully implemented in the MC transport code,and its feasibility and effectiveness were tested using the modified OECD/NEA,one-dimensional slab benchmark,and the Hoogenboom full-core problem.The comparison results showed that the FP method was able to achieve efficient FSCA.
