Ex-situ cultivation of biological soil crusts （biocrusts） is a promising technology to produce materials that can induce the recovery of biocrusts in the field for the purposes of preventing soil erosion and improving hydrological function in degraded ecosystems. However, the ability of artificially cultivated biocrusts to survive under adverse field conditions, including drought and heat stresses, is still relatively unknown. Mosses can bolster biocrust resistance to the stresses （e.g., drought and heat） and the resistance may be introduced prior to field cultivation. In this study, we subjected the well-developed artificial moss biocrusts （dominant species of Didjmodon vinealis （Brid.） Zand.） that we cultivated in the phytotron to a dehydration-rehydration experiment and also a heat stress experiment and measured the activities of protective enzymes （including peroxidase （POD）, superoxide dismutase （SOD）, and catalase （CAT）） and the contents of osmoregulatory substances （including soluble proteins and soluble sugars） and malondialdehyde （MDA, an indicator of oxidative stress） in the stem and leaf fragments of mosses. The results showed that, during the dehydration process, the activities of protective enzymes and the contents of osmoregulatory substances and MDA gradually increased with increasing duration of drought stress （over 13 days）. During the rehydration process, values of these parameters decreased rapidly after 1 d of rehydration. The values then showed a gradual decrease for 5 days, approaching to the control levels. Under heat stress （45℃）, the activities of protective enzymes and the content of soluble proteins increased rapidly within 2 h of heat exposure and then decreased gradually with increasing duration of heat exposure. In contrast, the contents of soluble sugars and MDA always increased gradually with increasing duration of heat exposure. Stevens-Johnson syndrome(SJS)and toxic epidermal necrolysis(TEN)are rare but severe *** study aimed to validate the predictive ability of risk models in patients with SJS/TEN and propose possible refinement in *** in the Department of Dermatology of Huashan Hospital from January 2008 to January 2019 were *** showed that the severity-of-illness score for TEN(SCORTEN)had a good discrimination(area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC),0.78),and it was superior to auxiliary score(AS)and ABCD-10,which indicates age,bicarbonate level,cancer,dialysis,and 10%involved body surface area(AUC,0.69 and 0.68,respectively).The calibration of SCORTEN(Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test,P=0.69)was also better than that of AS(P=0.25)and ABCD-10(P=0.55).SCORTEN and ABCD-10 were similar(Brier score(BS),0.04 and 0.04)in terms of accuracy of *** addition,the imaging appearance of pulmonary consolidation on computed tomography was associated with high *** models were formed using the variables and this imaging *** refined AS and ABCD-10 models were similar in discrimination compared with the original SCORTEN(0.74 vs.0.78,P=0.23;0.74 vs.0.78,P=0.30,respectively).Therefore,SCORTEN showed good discrimination performance,calibration,and accuracy,and refined AS or ABCD-10 model may be an option when SCORTEN variables are not available.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the efficacy of Zhonglun'a-decoction-containing serum(ZHONGL-CS)on the in vitro apoptosis of fibroblast-like synoviocytes(FLS) from rats with collagen-induced arthritis(CIA) by investigating the Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription(JAK/STAT) signaling ***: A CIA rat model was established using bovine type Ⅱ collagen. FLS were isolated, cultured and identified. A cell counting kit-8 was used to detect cell activity. The half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50) was calculated. Experimental subjects were divided into control, CIA,ZHONGL-CS, JAK2 inhibitor AG490, and ZHONGLCS with AG490 groups. The in vitro cell cycle and apoptosis rate were detected in FLS by flow cytometry. Bcl-2-associated X protein(Bax), B-cell lymphoma 2(Bcl-2), caspase-3, cyclin D1, phosphorylated JAK2, STAT1, and STAT3 protein expressions in FLS were examined by Western blotting. JAK2, STAT1 and STAT3 mRNA levels were examined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain ***: Compared with the CIA group, FLS proliferation was inhibited, the FLS G0/G1 cell cycle was arrested, and the rate of FLS apoptosis was increased in the ZHONGL-CS group. In the ZHONGLCS group, the protein levels of Bcl-2 and cyclin D1 were reduced compared with the CIA group and the levels of Bax and caspase-3 in FLS were increased. In the ZHONGL-CS group, the expressions of JAK2, STAT1, and STAT3 mRNA and the levels of phosphorylated JAK2, STAT1, and STAT3 proteins were ***: ZHONGL-CS may induce FLS apoptosis in CIA rats. Activation of the JAK/STAT signaling pathway was inhibited in FLS in vitro.

A low band gap acceptor-donor-acceptor （A-D-A） small molecule donor material, named DR3TDTN, has been designed and synthesized for solution-processed organic solar cells. DR3TDTN shows narrow optical band gap with value of 1.49 eV and broad absorption spectrum from 300 to 820 rim. The HOMO and LUMO energy levels of DR3TDTN are -4.74 and -3.26 eV, respectively. The optimized photovoltaic device based on DR3TDTN：PC71BM blend film shows a power conversion efficiency of 3.03% with an open-circuit voltage of 0.67 V, a short-circuit current of 8.22 mA·cm^-2 and fill factor of 0.55.
