In this paper,a methodology integrating crystal plasticity(CP),the eXtended finite element method(XFEM)and the cohesive zone model(CZM)is developed for an Al-Cu-Mg alloy to predict fatigue crack propagation(FCP)across grain boundary(GB)of Al-Cu-Mg alloy during stageІІ.One GB model is incor-porated into FCP constitutive law to describe grain interaction at GB.A bicrystal containing GB is built up to simulate FCP behavior through L participated GBs.Modelling features including GB characteristic,cumulative plastic strain(CPS)distribution and crystal slipping evidence can be identified.The numer-ical results are compared with published experimental data to check the accuracy of model.This work demonstrates that the combination of CP containing GB constitutive laws,XFEM and CZM is a promising methodology in predicting twist angle-controlled crack deflection through GBs.

In recent years,the telecom industry has faced digital transformation challenges and fierce market competition.The challenges push telecom operators to grow their subscriber bases by offering lower prices and improved services and new features,which puts pressure on operators’profitability.In addition,the rise of Internet companies gradually erodes the profit of the traditional telecom operators.Therefore,paying attention to the critical factors impacting firm sustainable growth can help operators get out of the predicament.Based on the resource-based view(RBV),this study explores the factors that influence the firm sustainable growth.Multiple regression model is applied to empirically test the hypotheses with longitudinal time-series panel data from major telecom operators in China.The study provides empirical evidence for sustainable growth research and useful insights for practitioners on the way to keep sustainable growth.

Immunotherapy has dramatically altered the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer.Currently,the emergence of combination strategies in immunotherapy has brightened the prospects of improved clinical outcomes and manageable safety profiles in the first/second-line settings.However,sub-optimal response rates are still observed in several clinical trials.Hence,alternative combination models and candidate selection strategies need to be explored.Herein,we have critically reviewed and commented on the published data from several clinical trials,including combined immunotherapy and chemotherapy,anti-angiogenic agents,epidermal growth factor receptor/anaplastic lymphoma kinase tyrosine kinase inhibitors,radiotherapy,and other immune checkpoint inhibitors.

Pitting initiation and stable propagation behaviors of 2205 duplex stainless steel were investigated in the hot concentrated seawater under vacuum pressures by potentiostatic polarization. Both applied potentials and vacuum pressures greatly influence the pitting corrosion. Higher potentials lead to much faster stable pitting initiation and growth rates in both static(101.3 kPa) and dynamic(28.4 kPa) solutions. The pressure reduction can also accelerate the pitting initiation rate. However, the boiling of solution can influence the pitting propagation mechanism. The dynamic actions of boiling bubbles are unfavorable to the pit propagation and result in the formation of relatively smooth pit bottom without secondary pits.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is a common cause of cancer-related death,and most patients are with advanced disease when diagnosed.At present,despite a variety of treatments have been devel-oped for PDAC,few effective treatment options are available;on the other hand,PDAC shows significant resistance to chemoradiotherapy,targeted therapy,and immunotherapy due to its heterogeneous genetic profile,molecular signaling pathways,and complex tumor immune microenvironment.Nevertheless,over the past decades,there have been many new advances in the key theory and understanding of the in-trinsic mechanisms and complexity of molecular biology and molecular immunology in pancreatic can-cer,based on which more and more diverse new means and reasonable combination strategies for PDAC treatment have been developed and preliminary breakthroughs have been made.With the continuous ex-ploration,from surgical local treatment to comprehensive medical management,the research-diagnosis-management system of pancreatic cancer is improving.This review focused on the variety of treatments for advanced PDAC,including traditional chemotherapy,targeted therapy,immunotherapy,microenviron-ment matrix regulation as well as the treatment targeting epigenetics,metabolism and cancer stem cells.We pointed out the current research bottlenecks and future exploration directions.

Cilium,an organelle with a unique proteome and organization,protruding from the cell surface,generally serves as a force generator and signaling compartment.During ciliogenesis,ciliary proteins are synthesized in cytoplasm and transported into cilia by intraflagellar transport(IFT)particles,where the inner counterparts undergo reverse trafficking.The homeostasis of IFT plays a key role in cilial structure assembly and signaling transduction.Much progress has been made on the mechanisms and functions of IFT;however,recent studies have revealed the involvement of IFT particle subunits in organogenesis and spermatogenesis.In this review,we discuss new concepts concerning the molecular functions of IFT protein IFT25 and how its interactions with other IFT particle subunits are involved in mammalian development and fertility.

In most higher plants, sucrose is the primary organic carbon that is translocated through phloem from photosynthetic leaves （source） into non-photosynthetic tissues （sink） such as seed, fruit, and root. After phloem unloading in sinks, sucrose needs to be degraded into hexoses for diverse use by either invertase （Inv） that hydrolyses sucrose into glucose and fructose or sucrose synthase （Sus） that degrades sucrose into UDPglucose and fructose. By generating hexoses and their derivates, Inv- or Sus-mediated sucrose metabolism and re- lated transport process provide （1） energy source to power cel- lular processes; （2） starting molecules convertible to numerous metabolites and building blocks for synthesizing essential pol- ymers including starch, cellulose, callose, and proteins; and （3） a mechanism to reduce sucrose concentration at the unloading sites to facilitate its source-to-sink translocation, thereby pre- venting feedback inhibition on photosynthesis and sustaining carbon flow at the whole-plant level.

As the core driving force of the new round of informatization development and industrial revolution,the disruptive achievements of artificial intelligence(AI)are rapidly and comprehensively infiltrating into various fields of human activities.Although technologies and applications of AI have been widely studied and factors that affect AI adoption are identified in existing literature,the impact of success factors on AI adoption remains unknown.Accordingly,this paper proposes a framework to explore the impacts of success factors on AI adoption in telecom industry by integrating the technology,organization,and environment(TOE)framework and diffusion of innovation(DOI)theory.Particularly,this framework consists of factors regarding external environment,organizational capabilities,and innovation attributes of AI.The framework is empirically tested with data collected by surveying telecom companies in China.Structural equation modeling is applied to analyze the data.The study provides support for firms’decision-making and resource allocation regarding AI adoption.

Tumor microenvironment mainly includes fibroblasts,macrophages,endothelial cells,and immune cells.The heterogeneity of tumor immune microenvironment(TIME)affects the response of different patients to immunotherapy.Cancer immunotherapy using immune checkpoint inhibitiors(ICIs),which can be achieved by antibodies blocking the programmed cell death 1(PD-1)/programmed death ligand-1(PD-L1)or the cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated protein 4(CTLA-4)pathway alone or in combination,prompts a new paradigm shift in oncology.However,the response rates to the ICIs in cancer patients are relatively low and the results of the reported biomarkers for predicting the treatment efficacy are conflicting.Therefore,novel and reliable biomarkers are urgently needed to monitor tumor-specific immune responses,avoid immune-related adverse events,and improve clinical efficacy.
