Study on thermal cycling ageing resistance of performances of polypropylene/elastomer/boron nitride nanocomposites for high voltage direct current cable insulation

The influences of thermal cycling ageing on structures and insulation performances of polypropylene(PP)/elastomer/boron nitride(BN)nanocomposites are *** Melt blending method was used to prepare the nanocomposites,in which propylene-based elastomer(PBE)or ethylene-octene copolymer elastomer(EOC)was contained for ***,the samples were treated using a thermal cycling process with a temperature range from-30 to 150℃,and the number of thermal cycles was set from 0 to *** electron microscope(SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction measurements were taken to facilitate the comprehension of structural ***,measurements were taken to assess the trap distribution and direct current(DC)breakdown strength of the *** obtained results revealed that following thermal cycling ageing,the morphology and crystallinity of PP/PBE/BN remained almost *** contrast,PP/EOC/BN exhibited substantial microstructural damage accompanied by a significant reduction in *** the number of thermal cycles increased,the trap level and DC breakdown strength of PP/PBE/BN were maintained at high levels,while those of PP/EOC/BN initially remained stable but then experienced a sharp *** is sug-gested that the addition of BN nanoparticles enhances the thermal cycling ageing resis-tance of the PP/PBE blend,whereas it weakens this resistance of the PP/EOC blend.

Bushfires are devastating to forest managers,owners,residents,and the natural *** tech-nological advances indicate a potential for faster response times in terms of detecting and suppressing ***,to date,all these technologies have been applied in *** paper introduces the latest fire detection and sup-pression technologies from ground to *** operations research method was used to assemble these technologies into a theoretical framework for fire detection and *** framework harnesses the advantages of satellite-based,drone,sensor,and human reporting technologies as well as image processing and artificial intelligence machine *** study concludes that,if a system is designed to maximise the use of available technologies and carefully adopts them through complementary arrangements,a fire detection and resource suppression system can achieve the ultimate aim:to reduce the risk of fire hazards and the dam-age they may cause.

Sliding-induced subsurface microstructure evolution is believed to be decisive for determining the friction and wear performance of metallic contacts as well as the development of *** expects to develop a new prediction method of wear state by elucidating the correlation between subsurface microstructure evolution and corresponding magnetic domain ***,subsurface microstructure evolution including crystal and magnetic domain under tribological action is investigated *** results demonstrate that dislocation mediated plastic deformation decisively influences microstructural changes during tribological contact,further determining the magnetic domain ***,sliding-induced plastic deformation causes an increase in the width of magnetic domains,but depth-dependent derived microstructure formed under severe plastic deformation such as the refined grains and sub-grains,in turn,promoted the refinement of magnetic domains and their discontinuity,forming depth-dependent magnetic domain *** results are helpful to clarify the evolution of tribo-magnetization and the pinning effect of dislocations on magnetic domains.

Visualization of cristae and mtDNA interactions via STED nanoscopy using a low saturation power probe

Mitochondria are crucial organelles closely associated with cellular metabolism and *** DNA(mtDNA)encodes a variety of transcripts and proteins essential for cellular ***,the interaction between the inner membrane(IM)and mtDNA remains elusive due to the limitations in spatiotemporal resolution offered by conventional microscopy and the absence of suitable in vivo probes specifically targeting the ***,we have developed a novel fluorescence probe called HBmito Crimson,characterized by exceptional photostability,fluorogenicity within lipid membranes,and low saturation *** successfully achieved over 500 frames of lowpower stimulated emission depletion microscopy(STED)imaging to visualize the IM dynamics,with a spatial resolution of 40 *** utilizing dual-color imaging of the IM and mtDNA,it has been uncovered that mtDNA tends to habitat at mitochondrial tips or branch points,exhibiting an overall spatially uniform ***,the dynamics of mitochondria are intricately associated with the positioning of mtDNA,and fusion consistently occurs in close proximity to mtDNA to minimize pressure during cristae *** healthy cells,>66%of the mitochondria are Class III(i.e.,mitochondria>5μm or with>12 cristae),while it dropped to<18%in *** dynamics,orchestrated by cristae remodeling,foster the even distribution of ***,in conditions of apoptosis and ferroptosis where the cristae structure is compromised,mtDNA distribution becomes *** findings,achieved with unprecedented spatiotemporal resolution,reveal the intricate interplay between cristae and mtDNA and provide insights into the driving forces behind mtDNA distribution.

Evolutionary Variational YOLOv8 Network for Fault Detection in Wind Turbines

Deep learning has emerged in many practical applications,such as image classification,fault diagnosis,and object *** recently,convolutional neural networks(CNNs),representative models of deep learning,have been used to solve fault ***,the current design of CNNs for fault detection of wind turbine blades is highly dependent on domain knowledge and requires a large amount of trial and *** this reason,an evolutionary YOLOv8 network has been developed to automatically find the network architecture for wind turbine blade-based fault ***8 is a CNN-backed object detection ***,to reduce the parameter count,we first design an improved FasterNet module based on the Partial Convolution(PConv)***,to enhance convergence performance,we improve the loss function based on the efficient complete intersection over the *** on this,a flexible variable-length encoding is proposed,and the corresponding reproduction operators are *** experimental results confirmthat the proposed approach can achieve better fault detection results and improve by 2.6%in mean precision at 50(mAP50)compared to the existing ***,compared to training with the YOLOv8n model,the YOLOBFE model reduces the training parameters by 933,937 and decreases the GFLOPS(Giga Floating Point Operations Per Second)by 1.1.

Heuristic Expanding Disconnected Graph:A Rapid Path Planning Method for Mobile Robots

Existing mobile robots mostly use graph search algorithms for path planning,which suffer from relatively low planning efficiency owing to high redundancy and large computational *** to the limitations of the neighborhood search strategy,the robots could hardly obtain the most optimal global path.A global path planning algorithm,denoted as EDG*,is proposed by expanding nodes using a well-designed expanding disconnected graph operator(EDG)in this ***,all obstacles are marked and their corners are located through the map ***,the EDG operator is designed to find points in non-obstruction areas to complete the rapid expansion of disconnected ***,the EDG*heuristic iterative algorithm is *** selects the candidate node through a specific valuation function and realizes the node expansion while avoiding collision with a minimum *** planning experiments were conducted in a typical indoor environment and on the public dataset *** result shows that the proposed EDG*reduced the planning time by more than 90%and total length of paths reduced by more than 4.6%.Compared to A*,Dijkstra and JPS,EDG*does not show an exponential explosion effect in map *** EDG*showed better performance in terms of path smoothness,and collision *** shows that the EDG*algorithm proposed in this paper can improve the efficiency of path planning and enhance path quality.

Evolution of inclusions in vacuum induction melting of superalloys containing 70%return material

The variation law of inclusions type and size in the vacuum induction melting process and ingot of Ni-based superalloy containing 70%return material was studied by industrial test sampling,and the mechanism of inclusions formation was analyzed with thermodynamic *** results show that there are mainly two types of composite inclusions in the vacuum induction melting of Ni-based superalloys,which are nitride-and oxide-based composite inclusions,like Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-Cr_(2)O_(3),TiN-(Mo,Nb)C,*** type and proportion of inclusions from the center to the edge of the vacuum induction ingot did not change *** number density of inclusions from the center to the edge of the ingot varied less,and the size of inclusions became smaller from the center to the *** addition,thermodynamic calculations show that oxides(M_(2)O_(3))are present in the liquid phase and mainly contain Al,Ti,Cr,Fe and O *** nitride consists mainly of Ti and N and contains small amounts of Cr,C,Nb,and Mo *** is consistent with the results of industrial *** the temperature decreases,the precipitation phases such as M_(2)O_(3),MN,γ,MC,δ,γ'andμphases are gradually precipitated,where oxides and nitrides are present in the liquid *** contents of O and N elements are the main influencing factors for the inclusions content and precipitation temperature;when the nitrogen content is reduced to below 0.0015%,it can make MN precipitate below the liquid-phase line.

CCaP1/CCaP2/CCaP3 interact with plasma membrane H^(+)-ATPases and promote thermoresponsive growth by regulating cell wall modification in Arabidopsis

Arabidopsis plants adapt to warm temperatures by promoting hypocotyl growth primarily through the basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor PIF4 and its downstream genes involved in auxin responses,which enhance cell *** the current study,we discovered that cell wall-related calcium-binding protein 2(CCaP2)and its paralogs CCaP1 and CCaP3 function as positive regulators of thermo-responsive hypocotyl growth by promoting cell elongation in ***,mutations in CCaP1/CCaP2/CCaP3 do not affect the expression of PIF4-regulated classic downstream ***,they do noticeably reduce the expression of xyloglucan endotransglucosylase/hydrolase genes,which are involved in cell wall *** also found that CCaP1/CCaP2/CCaP3 are predominantly localized to the plasma membrane,where they interact with the plasma membrane H^(+)-ATPases AHA1/***,we observed that vanadate-sensitive H^(+)-ATPase activity and cell wall pectin and hemicellulose contents are significantly increased in wild-type plants grown at warm temperatures compared with those grown at normal growth temperatures,but these changes are not evident in the ccap1-1 ccap2-1 ccap3-1 triple ***,our findings demonstrate that CCaP1/CCaP2/CCaP3 play an important role in controlling thermo-responsive hypocotyl growth and provide new insights into the alternative pathway regulating hypocotyl growth at warm temperatures through cell wall modification mediated by CCaP1/CCaP2/CCaP3.
