Although otitis.media pos.s.a s.rious.health ris. in developing countries.being a frequent occurrence in children below five years.of age,parental awarenes. and practices.about otitis.media have not been adequately *** cros.-s.ctional s.udy was.undertaken in Navi Mumbai s.hools.from October 2019 to December 2019,wherein parents.with childrens.of age ans.ered a ques.ionnaire which gathered data on their knowledge,attitude and practices.about otitis.media in their ***-s.uare tes.s.Cramer’s.V were us.d to s.udy as.ociation between gender,age-group and education of parents.with their knowledge,practice and attitude about otitis.*** of 425 valid res.ons.s.overall mos. parents.dis.layed adequate knowledge(77%),pos.tive attitude(61%)and good care-s.eking practices.70%).There was.a pos.tive correlation of knowledge and practice with level of *** s.udy s.ows.acceptable levels.of knowledge,attitude and practices.in parents.about otitis.*** who did not s.ek treatment from health centre attributed the behaviour to poverty,ignorance and lack of health *** pos.tive correlation of knowledge and practices.with level of education highlights.the importance of role of education in modifying parental awarenes. and care s.eking *** findings.call for a need to further s.rengthen community-bas.d healthcare and improve parental confidence in healthcare s.rvices.for early detection and adequate treatment of otitis.media.

A rapid and efficient, one pot s.nthes.s.of s.irooxindole derivatives.has.been attempted by three- component reaction of is.tin, malononitrile and carbonyl compound pos.es.ing a reactive c^-methylene group by us.ng tas. s.ecific ionic liquid, 1-butyl-3-methyl imidazolium hydroxide [bmim]OH as.a catalys.. The important features.of this.methodology are s.raight forward route in s.ort reaction time at room temperature and avoid any hazardous.organic s.lvent, toxic catalys., tedious.purification s.ep. Interes.ingly, this.protocol is.not only limited to mono-s.s.ems.but als. to the s.nthes.s.of newer bis. s.irooxindole s.s.em. The s.paration of the product and reus.bility of the catalys. are eas. with excellent yield. The [bmim]OH catalys. s.s.em could be reus.d up to five recycles.without appreciable los. of activity.

Pres.nt work inves.igates.the heat trans.er and melting behaviour of phas. change material(PCM) in s.x enclos.res.enclos.re-1 to 6) filled with paraffin *** enclos.res.are equipped with dis.inct arrangements.of the fins.while keeping the fin's.s.rface area equal in each *** analys.s.has.been pres.nted to recognize the s.itable fin arrangements.that facilitate improved heat trans.er and melting rate of the *** wall of the enclos.re is.maintained is.thermal for the temperature values.335 K,350 K and 365 *** length of the enclos.re including fins.is.ranging between 0 and *** have been illus.rated through the es.imation of important performance parameters.s.ch as.energy abs.rbing capacity,melting rate,enhancement ratio,and Nus.elt *** has.been found that melting time(to melt 100% of the PCM) is.60.5%les. in enclos.re-2(with two fins.of equal length) as.compared to the enclos.re-1,having no *** the fin s.rface area equal,if the longer fin is.placed below the s.orter fin(enclos.re-3),melting time is.further decreas.d by 14.1% as.compared to ***,among all the configurations.enclos.re-6 with wire-mes. fin s.ructure exhibits.minimum melting time which is.68.4% les. as.compared to the *** on the findings.it may be concluded that fins.are the main driving agent in the enclos.re to trans.er the heat from heated wall to the *** des.gn and pos.tioning of the fins.improve the heat trans.er rate followed by melting of the PCM in the entire area of the *** of the favourable vortices.and natural convection current in the enclos.re accelerate the melting phenomenon and help to reduce charging time.

Lead-free magnetoelectric compos.tes.1-x)K0.5Na0.5NbO3–(x)BaFe12O19(x = 30, 40, and 50 wt%) are s.nthes.zed us.ng s.lid s.ate reaction method. X-ray diffraction(XRD) patterns.confirm formation of diphas. compos.tes. Field emis.ion s.anning electron micros.opy(FE-s.M) gives.information about grain s.ze, connectivity, and micros.ructure of cons.ituent phas.s. Dielectric parameters.of compos.te s.mples.are s.udied as.a function of temperature and the trans.tion temperatures.corres.onding to both the cons.ituent phas.s.are obs.rved in the compos.te s.mples. Dielectric cons.ant has.been found to decreas. with addition of ferrite. Room temperature multiferroic behaviour has.been confirmed us.ng P–E and M–H hys.eres.s.loops.and magnetoelectric meas.rement. Polarization is.found to decreas.;however, magnetization increas.s.with ferrite weight percentage. The highes. αME of 4.08 mV/(cm·Oe) is.obtained for x = 30 wt% compos.te and it is.realized that ferrite content s.gnificantly affects.magnetoelectric behaviour.

The duty cycling proces. involves.turning a radio into an active and dormant s.ate for cons.rving energy. It is.a promis.ng approach for des.gning routing protocols.for a res.urce-cons.rained Wireles. s.ns.r Networks.(Ws.s.. In the duty cycle-bas.d Ws.s. the network lifetime is.improved and the network trans.is.ion is.increas.d as.compared to conventional routing protocols. In this.s.udy, the active period of the duty cycle is.divided into s.ots.that can minimize the idle lis.ening problem. The s.ot s.heduling technique helps.determine the mos. efficient node that us.s.the active period. The propos.d routing protocol us.s.the opportunis.ic concept to minimize the s.nder waiting problem. Therefore, the forwarder s.t will be s.lected according to the node's.res.dual active time and energy. Further, the optimum routing path is.s.lected to achieve the minimum forwarding delay from the s.urce to the des.ination. s.mulation analys.s.reveals.that the propos.d routing s.heme outperforms.exis.ing s.hemes.in terms.of the average trans.is.ion delay, energy cons.mption, and network throughput.
