Radiologic features of Castleman's disease involving the renal sinus: A case report and review of the literature

BACKGROUND We present a rare case of plasma cell type of Castleman's disease(CD) involving only the right renal sinus in a 65-year-old woman with a duplex collecting system(DCS).CASE SUMMARY The patient presented with a right renal sinus lesion after renal *** abdominal enhanced computed tomography(CT) and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) of the kidneys showed DCS and a soft tissue mass with mild enhancement at the lower right renal sinus. The lesion was suspected to be a malignant renal pelvic carcinoma. Hence, the patient underwent a right radical nephrectomy. Histological examination revealed hyperplastic lymphoid follicles in the renal sinus. A detailed review of the patient's CT and MRI images and a literature review suggested that the lesion was hypointense on T2-weighted images and hyperintense on diffusion-weighted image manifestations, and showed mild enhancement, which distinguished the plasma cell type of CD from many other renal sinus lesions. Furthermore, peripelvic soft tissue masses with a smooth internal surface of the renal pelvis were on imaging findings, which suggests that the urinary tract epithelial system is invulnerable and can be used to differentiate the plasma cell type of CD from malignant lymphoma with a focally growth pattern to some *** Preoperative diagnosis is often difficult in such cases, as plasma cell type of CD involving only the right kidney is exceedingly rare. However, heightened awareness of this disease entity and its radiographic presentations may alert one to consider this diagnosis.

The accurate representation of surface characteristic is an important process to simulate surface energy and water flux in land-atmosphere boundary *** crop growth model in land surface model is an important method to accurately express the surface characteristics and biophysical processes in ***,the previous work mainly focused on crops in single cropping system,less work was done in multiple cropping *** article described how to modify the sub-model in the SiBcrop to realize the accuracy simulation of leaf area index(LAI),latent heat flux(LHF)and sensible heat flux(SHF)of winter wheat growing in double cropping system in the North China Plain(NCP).The seeding date of winter wheat was firstly reset according to the actual growing environment in the *** phenophases,LAI and heat fluxes in 2004–2006 at Yucheng Station,shandong Province,China were used to calibrate the *** validations of LHF and SHF were based on the measurements at Yucheng Station in 2007–2010 and at Guantao Station,Hebei Province,China in 2009–*** results showed the significant accuracy of the calibrated model in simulating these variables,with which the R2,root mean square error(RMSE)and index of agreement(IOA)between simulated and observed variables were obviously improved than the original *** sensitivities of the above variables to seeding date were also displayed to further explain the simulation error of the SiBcrop ***,the research results indicated the modified SiBcrop Model can be applied to simulate the growth and flux process of winter wheat growing in double cropping system in the NCP.

The modified suction caisson(MSC) is a novel type of foundation for ocean engineering, consisting of a short external closed-top cylinder-shaped structure surrounding the upper part of the regular suction caisson(RSC). The MSC can provide larger lateral bearing capacity and limit the deflection compared with the RSC. Therefore, the MSC can be much more appropriate to use as an offshore wind turbine foundation. Model tests on the MSC in saturated sand subjected to monotonic lateral loading were carried out to investigate the effects of external structure sizes on the sand surface deformation and the earth pressure distribution along the embedded depth. Test results show that the deformation range of the sand surface increases with the increasing width and length of the external structure. The magnitude of sand upheaval around the MSC is smaller than that of the RSC and the sand upheaval value around the MSC in the loading direction decreases with the increasing external structure dimensions. The net earth pressure in the loading direction acting on the internal compartment of the MSC is smaller than that of the RSC at the same embedded depth. The maximum net earth pressure acting on the external structure outer wall in the loading direction is larger than that of the internal compartment, indicating that a considerable amount of the lateral load and moment is resisted by the external skirt structure.

The microstructure, mechanical, and corrosion properties of extruded low-alloyed Mg xZn 0.2Ca (x=0, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0) alloys were investigated in this study. Findings from scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy results indicate that the amount of ternary Ca2Mg6Zn3 phase, as the only secondary phase in 1.0Zn, 2.0Zn, and 3.0Zn alloys, gradually increases with the addition of Zn, while the Mg2Ca phase was observed in the Mg 0.2Ca alloy only. Zn has a strong effect on the orientation and intensity of textures, which also influence mechanical behaviors, as revealed by electron back-scatter diffraction. Among all the alloys, the Mg 2.0Zn 0.2Ca alloy obtains the maximum tensile strength (278 MPa) and yield strength (230 MPa). Moreover, Zn addition has an evident influence on the corrosion properties of Mg xZn 0.2Ca alloy, and Mg 1.0Zn 0.2Ca alloy exhibits the minimum corrosion rate. This paper provides a novel low-alloyed magnesium alloy as a potential biodegradable material.

Blind quantum computation(BQC) can ensure a client with limited quantum capability safely delegates computing tasks to a remote quantum server. In order to resist attacks from ignoring identity authentication in BQC protocols, it is necessary to guarantee the legality of both clients and servers in a multi-party BQC network. So we propose a multi-party BQC protocol involving three phases to distribute shared keys and authenticate identities. Firstly, by using the advantages of measurement device independent quantum key distribution(MDI-QKD), the registered client and the assigned server could share the initial key safely in registration phase. Secondly, with the help of semi-honest certificate authority(CA), mutual identity authentication phase realizes the two-way authentication from both sides through the shared key simultaneously. Thirdly, in the blind quantum computing phase, a registered client can complete his computing task by just measuring the qubits from the assigned server rather than preparing the qubits. Moreover,combined with first-in-first-out(FIFO) principle, clients' authentication and blind quantum computing can be processed in parallel. The protocol can also be applied in other multi-party BQC protocols with the universality of resource states. Compared with other BQC protocols, the reliability of the protocol with identity authentication is guaranteed, and the efficiency will be significantly reflected in real experiments.

A detailed thermal power plant model was developed to evaluate power plant waste heat usage in terms of the operating parameters,energy consumption,water consumption,and pollutant *** model was used to analyze the bypass flue gas energy cascade utilization design which provides excellent energy savings and emission *** paper then presents a design to use the low-temperature waste heat and to extract water from the flue *** low-grade heat can be recovered from a coal-fired unit using absorption heat pumps to increase the air *** method significantly reduces the turbine steam extraction in the low pressure stages which increases the turbine power and reduces the coal *** design has a small heat transfer temperature difference between the air preheater and the air warmer,resulting in a smaller exergy *** power output of the present design was 1024.28 MW with a coal consumption savings of 3.69 g·(kWh)^(−1).In addition,the present design extracts moisture out of the flue gas to produce 46.48 t·h^(−1)of *** main goal of this work is to provide a theoretical analysis for studying complex thermal power plant systems and various energy conservation and CO_(2)reduction options for conventional power plants.
