Comprehensive evaluation of machine learning algorithms applied to TBM performance prediction

To date,the accurate prediction of tunnel boring machine(TBM)performance remains a considerable challenge owing to the complex interactions between the TBM and *** evolutionary polynomial regression(EPR)and random forest(RF),this study devel-ops two novel prediction models for TBM *** models can predict the TBM penetration rate and field penetration index as outputs with four input parameters:the uniaxial compressive strength,intact rock brittleness index,distance between planes of weakness,and angle between the tunnel axis and planes of weakness(a).First,the performances of both EPR-and RF-based models are examined by comparison with the conventional numerical regression method(i.e.,multivariate linear regression).Subsequently,the performances of the RF-and EPR-based models are further investigated and compared,including the model robustness for unknown datasets,interior relationships between input and output parameters,and variable *** results indicate that the RF-based model has greater prediction accuracy,particularly in identifying outliers,whereas the EPR-based model is more convenient to use by field engineers owing to its explicit *** EPR-and RF-based models can accurately identify the relationships between the input and output *** ensures their excellent generalization ability and high prediction accuracy on unknown datasets.

Job burnout and turnover intention among nurses in China:the mediating effects of positive emotion

Objective: The aim of this study was to explore whether positive emotion mediates the relationship between job burnout and turnover intentions among Chinese ***: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in the present study. Effectiveness of mindfulness-based stress reduction and mindfulness-based cognitive therapies on people living with HIV:A systematic review and meta-analysis

Objective:To assess the effects of mindfulness-based therapies(MBTs)on the outcomes of people living with ***:During 2014,we searched the PubMed/MEDLINE,Embase,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,and CBM databases to identify randomized and non-randomized controlled studies which compared participants receiving mindfulness-based therapies(MBTs),including mindfulness-based stress reduction(MBSR)and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy(MBCT),with participants in control *** psychological,biochemical,clinical,and behavioral outcomes of the study participants were *** separate reviewers independently performed the study selection,data extraction,and quality assessment tasks,and a meta-analysis of selected studies was performed using RevMan ***:Seven articles describing results obtained with a total of 620 HIV-infected individuals enrolled in six randomized trials and one quasi-experimental trial were included in the final *** overall methodological quality of the studies was moderate,as most study criteria were unclear and subject to a high risk of *** receiving MBT experienced significantly decreased feelings of stress after 8 weeks(p=0.03)of MBT,and decreased feelings of depression after both 8 weeks(p=0.04)and 6 months(p=0.02).Additionally,some patients receiving MBSR training or MBCT showed improved CD4^(+)counts at 8 weeks and 6 months,***:While MBT produced psychological benefits in HIV infected patients,any improvements in CD4^(+)counts were not *** studies with longer term follow-up periods and larger sample sizes are required to ascertain the effectiveness of such interventions.

The impact of work support and organizational career growth on nurse turnover intention in China

Objective:The paper aimed to explore the impact of work support and potential for career advancement on the nurse turnover intention in order to find an effective approach to curb high ***:A cross-sectional survey of 526 nurses from eight teaching hospitals in Tianjin,China,was conducted to test the hypothesized multilevel *** organizational career growth scale,work support scale,and the nurse turnover intention scale were used to measure the effect of organizational career growth and work support on nurse turnover ***,SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 17.0 software were used to analyse the relationship of these ***:The score of the three scales nurse turnover,organizational career growth,and work support were 1.98±0.60,2.40±0.50,and 4.06±0.98,*** total and direct effects of work support on turnover intention were0.361(p<0.01)and0.147(p<0.01),*** indirect effect was0.169 with a 95%bootstrap confidence interval of0.257 to***:The study showed a lack of work support negatively and directly associated with nurse turnover *** opportunities for career growth within the organization may strengthen the effect of work support and consequently increase the retention of qualified nursing staff.

Numerical analysis of the influence of a river on tunnelling-induced ground deformation in soft soil

When tunnels are constructed in coastal cities,they will inevitably undercross a *** the influence of rivers on tunnelling-induced deformation in costal soft soil is of great significance for controlling excessive settlement and protecting surrounding *** paper presents a case study of twin tunnels undercrossing a river in soft soil in Hangzhou,*** soft soil of Hangzhou refers to cohesive soil in a soft plastic or fluid plastic state with high natural water content,high compressibility,low bearing capacity,and low shear *** the influence of the river,the research region was divided into two parts,inside and outside the river-affected area,based on monitoring data of the Zizhi *** development law of surface settlement is divided into three *** the first and second stages,the surface settlement within and outside the river-affected area showed a similar trend:the settlement increased and the growth rate of settlement in the second stage was smaller within the river-affected *** the third stage,the surface settlement continued to increase within the river-affected area,while it converged outside the river-affected *** the river-affected area,there was an asynchronization of the sinking rate and stability of vault settlements and surface settlements.A numerical model was established by simulating different reinforcements of the *** numerical model revealed that the ground movement is influenced by the distribution and amount of the excess pore water *** excess pore pressure was concentrated mostly in the range of 1.0H_(t)-3.0H_(t)(H_(t) is the tunnel height)before the tunnel face,especially within the river-affected *** the river-affected area,the dissipation of excess pore water pressure needs more time,leading to slow stabilization of surface *** undercrossing a river,a cofferdam is necessary to reduce excessive ground deformation by dispersing the distribution o

Highly conductive and stable iodine doped argyrodite electrolyte for all-solid-state lithium batteries

Lithium argyrodites with high ionic conductivity and low cost are considered as one of the most prospective solid electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium ***,the poor chemical stability and compatibility with lithium metal limit their ***,Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2solid electrolyte with high ionic conductivity of 11.49 m S cm-1and improved chemical stability is synthesized by iodine *** ultra-thin Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane with thickness of 10μm can be obtained by wet coating process,exhibiting a high ionic conductivity of 2.09 mS cm-1and low areal resistance of 1.17Ω***,iodine doping could in-situ form LiI at the lithium/electrolyte interface and improve the critical current density of Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.6from 0.8 to 1.35 mA *** resultant LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2/Li battery shows excellent cycling stability at 1 C,with a reversible specific capacity of 110.1 mA h g-1and a retention of 80.5% after 1000 *** addition,the assembled LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane/Li pouch cell delivers an initial discharge capacity of 110.4 mA h g-1and 80.5% capacity retention after 100 cycles.

Improving job satisfaction of Chinese nurses: the positive effects of structural empowerment and psychological capital

Objectives:This study examined the influence of Chinese nurses’personal resources(psychological capital)and access to workplace resources(structural empowerment)on their job ***:A cross-sectional study was designed during the period of January to April *** anonymous questionnaire containing demographic characteristics sheet,Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire,Conditions for Work Effectiveness Questionnaire-II and psychological capital(PsyCap)was issued to 480 registered nurses in Tianjin,China.A total of 462 respondents became our *** regression was performed to explore the factors associated with job ***:The average Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire score was 65.68±12.35 in our study *** regression analysis showed that structural empowerment(β=0.421,P<0.01),PsyCap(β=0.227,P<0.01) and educational level(β=0.061,P<0.05) were positively associated with job ***:The job satisfaction of Chinese nurses was at a moderate *** empowerment was the most crucial predictor of job satisfaction,followed by ***,nursing administrators should take measures such as building an authorized work environment and improving nurses’PsyCap in order to promote job satisfaction among Chinese nurses.

Co-production of hydrogen, oxygen, and electricity via an integrated solar-driven system with decoupled water electrolyzer and Na-Zn ion battery

Combining water electrolysis and rechargeable battery technologies into a single system holds great promise for the co-production of hydrogen （H2） and ***,the design and development of such systems is still in its ***,an integrated hydrogen-oxygen （O2）-electricity co-production system featuring a bipolar membrane-assisted decoupled electrolyzer and a Na-Zn ion battery was established with sodium nickelhexacyanoferrate （NaNiHCF） and Zn2+/Zn as dual redox *** decoupled electrolyzer enables to produce H2and O2in different time and space with almost 100%Faradaic efficiency at 100 mA ***,the charged NaNiHCF and Zn electrodes after the electrolysis processes formed a Na-Zn ion battery,which can generate electricity with an average cell voltage of 1.75 V at 10 m A *** connecting Si photovoltaics with the modular electrochemical device,a well-matched solar driven system was built to convert the intermittent solar energy into hydrogen and electric energy with a solar to hydrogen-electricity efficiency of 16.7%,demonstrating the flexible storage and conversion of renewables.

Rechargeable aqueous zinc-metal batteries （AZMBs） are promising candidates for large-scale energy storage systems due to their low cost and high ***,their performance and sustainability are significantly hindered by the sluggish desolvation kinetics at the electrode/electrolyte interface and the corresponding hydrogen evolution reaction where active water molecules tightly participate in the Zn（H2O）62+solvation ***,learnt from self-generated solid electrolyte interphase （SEI） in anodes,the dielectric but ion-conductive zinc niobate nanoparticles artificial layer is constructed on metallic Zn surface （ZNB@Zn）,acting as a rapid desolvation *** zincophilic and dielectric-conductive properties of ZNB layer accelerate interfacial desolvation/diffusion and suppress surface corrosion or dendrite formation,achieving uniform Zn plating/stripping behavior,as confirmed by electronic/optical microscopies and interface spectroscopical measurements together with theoretical ***,the as-prepared ZNB@Zn electrode exhibits excellent cycling stability of over 2000 h and robust reversibility （99.54%） even under high current density and depth of discharge ***,the assembled ZNB@Zn-based full cell displays high capacity-retention rate of 80.21%after 3000 cycles at 5 A g-1and outstanding rate performance up to 10 A *** large-areal pouch cell is stabilized for hundreds of cycles,highlighting the bright prospects of the dielectric but ion-conductive layer in further application of AZMBs.
