BACKGROUND Toxic epidermal necrolysis(TEN)is a life-threatening dermatological emergency mainly induced by drug hypersensitivity *** management includes discontinuation of culprit drug and application of immunomodulatory ***,mortality remains high due to complications like septic shock and multiorgan *** approaches for skin care are *** report introduces borneol-gypsum,a traditional Chinese drug but a novel dressing serving as an adjuvant of TEN therapy,might significantly improve skin conditions and patient outcomes in *** SUMMARY A 38-year-old woman diagnosed with eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis experienced gangrenous complications and motor nerve *** initial treatment of high-dose corticosteroids and cyclophosphamide,symptom of foot drop improved,absolute eosinophil counts decreased,while limb pain *** was added to alleviate her ***,TEN *** topical application of borneol-gypsum dressing not only protected the skin lesions from infection but also significantly eased localized *** approach demonstrated its merit in TEN management by promoting skin healing and potentially reducing infection *** Borneol-gypsum dressing is a promising adjuvant that could significantly improve TEN management,skin regeneration,and patient comfort.

Moisture-enabled electricity(ME)is a method of converting the potential energy of water in the external environment into electrical energy through the interaction of functional materials with water molecules and can be directly applied to energy harvesting and signal ***,ME can be unreliable in numerous applications due to its sluggish response to moisture,thus sacrificing the value of fast energy harvesting and highly accurate information ***,by constructing a moisture-electric-moisture-sensitive(ME-MS)heterostructure,we develop an efficient ME generator with ultra-fast electric response to moisture achieved by triggering Grotthuss protons hopping in the sensitized ZnO,which modulates the heterostructure built-in interfacial potential,enables quick response(0.435 s),an unprecedented ultra-fast response rate of 972.4 mV s^(−1),and a durable electrical signal output for 8 h without any *** research provides an efficient way to generate electricity and important insight for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of moisture-generated carrier migration in ME generator,which has a more comprehensive working scene and can serve as a typical model for human health monitoring and smart medical electronics design.

Cardiac conduction regulatory RNA(CCRR)has been documented as an antiarrhythmic lncRNA in our earlier *** study aimed to evaluate the effects of CCRR on SERCA2a and the associated Ca^(2+)homeostasis in myocardial infarction(MI).Overexpression of CCRR via AAV9-mediated delivery not only partially reversed ischemia-induced contractile dysfunction but also alleviated abnormal Ca^(2+)homeostasis and reduced the heightened methylation level of SERCA2a following *** effects were also observed in CCRR overexpressing transgenic mice.A conserved sequence domain of CCRR mimicked the protective function observed with the full ***,silencing CCRR in healthy mice led to intracellular Ca^(2+)overloading of *** increased SERCA2a protein stability by upregulating FTO *** direct interaction between CCRR and FTO protein was characterized by RNA-binding protein immunoprecipitation(RIP)analysis and RNA pulldown *** of NFATc3 was identified as an upstream mechanism responsible for CCRR downregulation in *** study demonstrates that CCRR is a protective lncRNA that acts by maintaining the function of FTO,thereby reducing the m^(6)A RNA methylation level of SERCA2a,ultimately preserving calcium homeostasis for myocardial contractile function in ***,CCRR may be considered a promising therapeutic strategy with a beneficial role in cardiac pathology.

Development and validation of reference material for the detection of cashew nut ingredients by real-time quantitative PCR

To solve the problem of the lack of reference material （RM） for determination of allergenic ingredients in food， a RM of cashew nut powder was developed in the study. Cashew nut powder was prepared from cashew nut kernel by selecting， cleaning， crushing， n-hexane degreasing and sieving treatment. The reliability and traceability of RM was verified using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction （qPCR） and phylogenetic tree analysis. The cashew nut powder RM showed good homogeneity， and good stability under long-term storage at 4℃ and short-term simulated transportation from -20℃ to 45℃. The RM was determined jointly by 8 collaborative laboratories， and the characteristic CTvalue was 24.732， and the extended uncertainty was 1.052 （k=2）. The RM was applied to verify the amplification efficiency （E）and the limit of detection （LOD） for qPCR assay， and showed good applicability. The RM could be used for method validation and quality control， for the determination of allergenic ingredients in food mixed with trace amounts of cashew nut.

A high-power laser ablating solid targets induces giant electromagnetic pulses(EMPs),which are intimately pertinent to laser parameters,such as energy and pulse *** this study,we reveal the features of EMPs generated from a picosecond(ps)laser irradiating solid targets at the SG-Ⅱpicosecond petawatt(PSPW)laser *** laser energy and pulse,as well as target material and thickness,show determinative effects on the EMPs’*** intense EMPs are detected behind targets compared to those at the other three positions,and the EMP amplitude decreases from 90.09 kV/m to 17.8 kV/m with the gold target thickness increasing from 10μm to 20μm,which is suppressed when the laser pulse width is *** results are expected to provide more insight into EMPs produced by ps lasers coupling with targets and lay the foundation for an effective EMP shielding design in high-power laser infrastructures.

我国的成年人意定监护制度立法已有十多年的历史。然而,其实际运行效果与立法初衷、社会期待仍有较大差距。造成这一现象的原因在于立足个人权利的制度方案与中国传统“家”文化之间的内在冲突。欲完善成年人意定监护制度,需要深入解析中国的家文化,重新定位家事法律关系。在监护协议、监护监督等核心问题上,应以区分“有家庭成员意定监护”与“无家庭成员意定监护”为基础设计相应法律规范,从而将传统文化精髓融入这一现代民事法律制度之中。

The blood lactate/serum albumin ratio might represent a good prognostic indicator of 28-day mortality in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome:a retrospective observational study

Background:Acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)is an acute inflammatory lung injury with a high mortality ***,previous ARDS prognostic scoring systems or predictors have been limited by complex formulas that are relatively expensive and inconvenient to ***,this study aimed to explore the clinical significance of the blood lactate/serum albumin ratio(LAR)in assessing the prognosis of ARDS patients and compare it with other indicators related to 28-day mortality in ARDS ***:We conducted a single-center retrospective study involving patients who fulfilled the Berlin definition of ARDS between 2016 and *** data were collected from medical records within 24 hours after ARDS *** LAR,neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio,and monocyteto-lymphocyte ratio(MLR)were *** primary clinical outcome was 28-day *** risk factors for 28-day mortality were determined using conditional logistic regression *** receiver operating characteristic curve was used to evaluate the area under the curve(AUC).Results:A total of 276 ARDS patients met the inclusion criteria and were divided into surviving and nonsurviving groups according to 28-day *** were significant differences in the Acute Physiologic Assessment and Chronic Health Evaluation II scores,Sequential Organ Failure Assessment scores,MLRs,and LARs between the surviving and nonsurviving *** AUC for the LAR was 0.790(Pailure Assessment score,neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio,and MLR were 0.584,0.599,0.524,and 0.587,*** grouping according to an LAR optimal cutoff value of 0.07,28-day mortality was significantly higher in the high-LAR group than in the low-LAR group(47.18 vs.12.69,P<0.001).Conclusion:The LAR is an independent risk factor for 28-day mortality in ARDS patients and can be used to assess the severity of
