Lightweight, miniaturized optical imaging systems are vastly anticipated in these fields of aerospace exploration, industrial vision, consumer electronics, and medical imaging. However, conventional optical techniques are intricate to downscale as refractive lenses mostly rely on phase accumulation. Metalens, composed of subwavelength nanostructures that locally control light waves, offers a disruptive path for small-scale imaging systems. Recent advances in the design and nanofabrication of dielectric metalenses have led to some high-performance practical optical systems. This review outlines the exciting developments in the aforementioned area whilst highlighting the challenges of using dielectric metalenses to replace conventional optics in miniature optical systems. After a brief introduction to the fundamental physics of dielectric metalenses, the progress and challenges in terms of the typical performances are introduced. The supplementary discussion on the common challenges hindering further development is also presented, including the limitations of the conventional design methods, difficulties in scaling up, and device integration. Furthermore, the potential approaches to address the existing challenges are also deliberated.

Paper-based aqueous Al ion battery with water-in-salt electrolyte

Low-cost,flexible and safe battery technology is the key to the widespread usage of wearable electronics,among which the aqueous Al ion battery with water-in-salt electrolyte is a promising *** this work,a flexible aqueous Al ion battery is developed using cellulose paper as *** water-in-salt electrolyte is stored inside the paper,while the electrodes are either printed or attached on the paper surface,leading to a lightweight and thin-film battery ***,this battery can tolerate a charge and discharge rate as high as 4 A g^(-1) without losing its storage *** charge voltage is around 2.2 V,while the discharge plateau of 1.6–1.8 V is among the highest in reported aqueous Al ion batteries,together with a high discharge specific capacity of~140 mAh g^(-1).However,due to the water electrolysis side reaction,the faradaic efficiency can only reach 85%with a cycle life of 250 due to the dry out of *** from using flexible materials and aqueous electrolyte,this paper-based Al ion battery can tolerate various deformations such as bending,rolling and even puncturing without losing its *** two single cells are connected in series,the battery pack can provide a charge voltage of 4.3 V and a discharge plateau as high as 3–3.6 V,which are very close to commercial Li ion *** a cheap,flexible and safe battery technology may be widely applied in low-cost and large-quantity applications,such as RFID tags,smart packages and wearable biosensors in the future.

Enriching Iodine and Regulating Grain Aroma,Appearance Quality,and Yield in Aromatic Rice by Foliar Application of Sodium Iodide

Applying iodine fertilizers to cultivate iodine-rich crops for daily intake is an effective approach for iodine supplementation,especially for aromatic *** experiments were conducted during the early growing seasons of 2021 and 2022 to evaluate the impacts of foliar application of iodine fertilizer on aromatic rice and to explore the optimal iodine fertilizer *** the full heading stage,six different concentrations of sodium iodide solutions of 0%(CK),0.010%(T1),0.025%(T2),0.050%(T3),0.075%(T4),and 0.100%(T5)were applied to indica aromatic rice cultivars Meixiangzhan 2 and *** results showed that sodium iodide treatments significantly increased the iodine and sodium contents in both leaves and *** with the CK,the T1 and T2 treatments increased the 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline(2-AP)content in mature grains by 8.41%-101.66%and 13.58%-74.60%,*** in the contents of 1-pyrroline-5-carboxylic acid,proline,1-pyrroline,and methylglyoxal,as well as the activity of proline dehydrogenase were also ***,sodium iodide treatments remarkably decreased the chalky grain rate,chalkiness area,and chalkiness degree of aromatic rice,with the T2 treatment exhibiting a 17.79%-47.42%decrease in chalkiness degree compared with the ***,T1 and T2 treatments showed beneficial impacts on chlorophyll content,photosynthetic characteristics,and yield components,while T3,T4,and T5 treatments exhibited adverse effects on leaf and grain *** linear discriminant analysis revealed significant differences between *** correlation analysis and piecewise structural equation modeling showed that the iodine and sodium influenced the photosynthetic characteristics and chlorophyll content of the leaves,thereby regulating the 2-AP biosynthesis and yield components,ultimately affecting the 2-AP content and ***,this study suggests that foliar application of 0.025%sodium iodide is an effective method t

UV light-induced oxygen doping in graphitic carbon nitride with suppressed deep trapping for enhancement in CO_(2) photoreduction activity

While photoreduction of CO_(2) to CH 4 is an effective means of producing value-added fuels,common pho-tocatalysts have poor activity and low selectivity in photocatalytic CO_(2)-reduction *** though creating defects is an effective photocatalyst fabrication route to improve photocatalytic activity,there are some challenges with the facile photocatalyst synthesis *** this work,an O element is in-troduced into a graphitic carbon nitride(CN)skeleton through a precursory ultraviolet light irradiation pretreatment to increase the visible light absorption and enhance the carrier density of this modified non-metal CN photocatalyst;the charge transfer dynamics thereof are also studied through electrochem-ical tests,photoluminescence spectroscopy,and nanosecond transient *** verify that the op-timized sample exhibits lower charge recombination and a suppressed 84 ns electron-trapping lifetime,compared to the 103 ns electron-trapping lifetime of the CN counterpart,and thereby contributes to ro-bust detrapping and a fast transfer of active *** density functional theory calculations,we find that the improved light absorption and increased electron density are ascribed to O-element doping,which enhances the CO_(2) adsorption energy and improves the CO_(2)-to-CH 4 photoreduction activity;it be-comes 17 times higher than that of the bare CN,and the selectivity is 3.8 times higher than that of ***,the optimized sample demonstrates excellent cyclic stability in a 24-hour cycle test.

Porous-DeepONet:Learning the Solution Operators of Parametric Reactive Transport Equations in Porous Media

Reactive transport equations in porous media are critical in various scientific and engineering disciplines,but solving these equations can be computationally expensive when exploring different scenarios,such as varying porous structures and initial or boundary *** deep operator network(DeepONet)has emerged as a popular deep learning framework for solving parametric partial differential ***,applying the DeepONet to porous media presents significant challenges due to its limited capability to extract representative features from intricate *** address this issue,we propose the Porous-DeepONet,a simple yet highly effective extension of the DeepONet framework that leverages convolutional neural networks(CNNs)to learn the solution operators of parametric reactive transport equations in porous *** incorporating CNNs,we can effectively capture the intricate features of porous media,enabling accurate and efficient learning of the solution *** demonstrate the effectiveness of the Porous-DeepONet in accurately and rapidly learning the solution operators of parametric reactive transport equations with various boundary conditions,multiple phases,and multiphysical fields through five *** approach offers significant computational savings,potentially reducing the computation time by 50–1000 times compared with the finite-element *** work may provide a robust alternative for solving parametric reactive transport equations in porous media,paving the way for exploring complex phenomena in porous media.

目的探讨应用腔镜行早期乳腺癌腋窝淋巴结清扫术（E-ALND）的价值。方法收集近2年内采用吸脂法进行腔镜下腋窝淋巴结清扫手术的2l例早期乳腺癌患者的临床资料，并与同期传统手术进行比较。结果21例E-ALND手术中无l例中转开放手术。与传统手术相比，腔镜腋窝淋巴结清扫术清除淋巴结的数量无明显差异[（18．26±4．62）枚VS．（17．15±3，83）枚]；手术时间明显延长[（82．2l±28．12）minVS，（138．42±36．06）min]；腋窝出血量显著减少[（192．16±60．27）mLVS，（1l5，3l±32．18）mL]；拔除腋窝引流管时间明显缩短[（10．1±3．2）dVS．（6．8±2，8）d]。3个月的随访结果显示，与传统手术相比，腔镜组上肢感觉异常发生率明显减少（32．2％VS．4．78％），但上肢疼痛、水肿发生率无明显差异。腔镜组术后出现局部皮肤水疱2例，胸壁蜂窝组织炎1例，皮下积液2例，均治愈。随访2-21个月，未见trocar处种植转移。结论腔镜行早期乳腺癌腋窝淋巴结清扫术具有切口小、隐蔽，术后恢复快，并发症少，且符合美学要求，较传统的腋窝淋巴结清扫术有明显的微创优势，具有较好的应用前景。

Orthopedic and dental implantations under bacterial infection microenvironment face significant challenges in achieving high-quality bone-implant integration. Designing implant coatings that incorporate both immune defense and anti-inflammation is difficult in conventional single-functional coatings. We introduce a multifunctional nanointerface using a zinc finger-inspired peptide-metal-phenolic nanocoating, designed to enhance implant osseointegration under such conditions. Abaloparatide (ABL), a second-generation anabolic drug for treating osteoporosis, can be integrated into the design of a zinc-phenolic network constructed on the implant surface (ABL@ZnTA). Importantly, the phenolic-coordinated Zn2+ ions in ABL@ZnTA can act as zinc finger motif to co-stabilize the configuration of ABL through multiple molecular interactions, enabling high bioactivity, high loading capacity (1.36 times), and long-term release (>7 days) of ABL. Our results showed that ABL@ZnTA can modulate macrophage polarization from the pro-inflammatory M1 towards the anti-inflammatory M2 phenotype, promoting immune osteogenesis with increased OCN, ALP, and SOD 1 expression. Furthermore, the ABL@ZnTA significantly reduces inflammatory fibrous tissue encapsulation and enhances the long-term stability of the implants, indicated by enhanced binding strength (6 times) and functional connectivity (1.5−3 times) in the rat bone defect model infected by S. aureus. Overall, our research offers a nano-enabled synergistic strategy that balances infection defense and osteogenesis promotion in orthopedic and dental implantations.

Spin glass theory,as a paradigm for describing disordered magnetic systems,constitutes a prominent subject of study within statistical *** symmetry breaking(RSB),as one of the pivotal concepts for the understanding of spin glass theory,means that under identical conditions,disordered systems can yield distinct states with nontrivial *** fiber laser(RFL)based on Rayleigh scattering(RS)is a complex disordered system,owing to the disorder and stochasticity of *** this work,for the first time,a precise theoretical model is elaborated for studying the photonic phase transition via the platform of RS-based RFL,in which we clearly reveal that,apart from the pump power,the photon phase variation in RFL is also an analogy to the temperature term in spin-glass phase transition,leading to a novel insight into the intrinsic mechanisms of photonic phase *** addition,based on this model and real-time high-fidelity detection spectral evolution,we theoretically predict and experimentally observe the mode-asymmetric characteristics of photonic phase transition in RS-based *** finding contributes to a deeper understanding of the photonic RSB regime and the dynamics of RS-based RFL.

Causal relationship between circulating vitamin C and 25-hydroxyvitamin D concentrations and common mental disorders-a Mendelian randomization study

Mental disorders seriously affect people’s health and social *** Mendelian randomization(MR)study was designed to investigate the causal relationship between circulating vitamin C(VC)or 25-hydroxyvitamin D(25(OH)D)levels and mental *** data used for the MR analysis were derived from the summary genome-wide association studies(GWAS)database for VC and 25(OH)D and from the Finn Gen consortium for fourteen mental *** on the inverse variance weighted(IVW)method,we found a potential causal association between circulating VC and anxiety disorders(IVW:OR=1.139,95%CI:1.023-1.269,P=0.018).However,no causal association was found between VC or 25(OH)D and other mental disorders(P>0.05).In the reverse MR analysis,individuals with Alzheimer’s disease was causally associated with higher concentrations of circulating VC(P=0.012),while individuals with anxiety disorders had a negative association between the concentrations of 25(OH)D(P=0.012).However,the current evidence does not support a causal relationship between VC or 25(OH)D and other mental *** addition,there was no causal association between circulating VC and 25(OH)D(P>0.05).Future studies are needed to confirm these findings and to elucidate the mechanisms of potential causality.
