A Quick Calculation Method for Radiation Pattern of Submillimeter Telescope with Deformation and Displacement

Radiation pattern captures the electromagnetic performance of reflector antennas,which is significantly affected by the deformation of the primary reflector due to gravity and the displacement of the secondary reflector.During the design process of large reflector antennas,a substantial amount of time is often dedicated to iteratively adjusting structural parameters and validating electromagnetic performance.To improve the efficiency of the design process,we first propose an approximate calculation method of optical path difference(OPD)for the deformation of the primary reflector under gravity and the displacement of the secondary reflector.Then an OPD fitting function based on the modified Zernike polynomials is proposed to capture the phase difference of radiation over the aperture plane,based on which the radiation pattern will be obtained quickly by the aperture field integration method.Numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed quick calculation method for analyzing the radiation pattern of a 10.4 m submillimeter telescope antenna at its highest operating frequency of 856 GHz.In comparison with the numerical simulation method based on GRASP(which is an antenna electromagnetic analysis tool combining physical optics(PO)and physical theory of diffraction(PTD)),the quick calculation method reduces the time for radiation pattern analysis from more than one hour to less than two minutes.Furthermore,the quick calculation method exhibits excellent accuracy for the figure of merit(FOM)of the radiation pattern.Therefore,the proposed quick calculation method can obtain the radiation pattern with high speed and accuracy.Compared to the time-consuming numerical simulation method(PO and PTD),it can be employed for quick analysis of the radiation pattern for the lateral displacement of the secondary reflector and the deformation of the primary reflector under gravity in the design process of a reflector antenna.

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)is a prevalent malignant tumor of the gastrointestinal system.ZNF710 is a transcription factor(TF),and zinc finger protein 710(ZNF710)-AS1-201 is an immune-related long noncoding RNA(lncRNA)that is upregulated in GC cells.AIM To assess the correlation between ZNF710-AS1-201 and immune microenvir-onment features and to investigate the roles of ZNF710-AS1-201 in the invasion and metastasis processes of GC cells.METHODS We obtained data from The Cancer Genome Atlas and Wujin Hospital.We assessed cell growth,migration,invasion,and programmed cell death using cell counting kit-8,EdU,scratch,Transwell,and flow cytometry assays.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)was used to identify the potential downstream targets of ZNF710-AS1-201.RESULTS In GC tissues with low ZNF710-AS1-201 expression,immunoassays detected significant infiltration of various antitumor immune cells,such as memory CD8 T cells and activated CD4 T cells.In the low-expression group,the half-maximal inhibitory concentrations(IC_(50)s)of 5-fluorouracil,cisplatin,gemcitabine,and trametinib were lower,whereas the IC_(50)s of dasatinib and vorinostat were higher.The malignant degree of GC was higher and the stage was later in the high-expression group.Additionally,patients with high expression of ZNF710-AS1-201 had lower overall survival and disease-free survival rates.In vitro,the overexpression of ZNF710-AS1-201 greatly enhanced growth,metastasis,and infiltration while suppressing cell death in HGC-27 cells.In contrast,the reduced expression of ZNF710-AS1-201 greatly hindered cell growth,enhanced apoptosis,and suppressed the metastasis and invasion of MKN-45 cells.The expression changes in ZNF710 were significant,but the corresponding changes in isocitrate dehydrogenase-2,Semaphorin 4B,ARHGAP10,RGMB,hsa-miR-93-5p,and ZNF710-AS1-202 were not consistent or statistically significant after overexpression or knockdown of ZNF710-AS1-201,as determined by qRT-PCR.CONCLUSION Immune-related lncRNA ZNF710-AS1-201 faci

Measurement,Modelling and Analysis of Residence Time Distribution Characteristics in a Continuous Hydrothermal Reactor

Understanding the residence time distribution(RTD) of a continuous hydrothermal reactor is of great significance to improve product quality and reaction efficiency.In this work,an on-line measurement system is attached to a continuous reactor to investigate the characteristics of RTD.An approach that can accurately fit and describe the experimental measured RTD curve by finding characteristic values is proposed for analysis and comparison.The RTD curves of three experiment groups are measured and the characteristic values are calculated.Results show that increasing total flow rate and extending effective reactor length have inverse effect on average residence time,but they both cause the reactor to approach a plug flow reactor and improve the materials leading.The branch flow rate fraction has no significant effect on RTD characteristics in the scope of the present work except the weak negative correlation with the average residence time.Besides,the natural convection stirring effect can also increase the average residence time,especially when the forced flow is weak.The analysis reveals that it is necessary to consider the matching of natural convection,forced flow and reactor size to control RTD when designing the hydrothermal reactor and working conditions.

Let G be a simple graph and G~σ be the oriented graph with G as its underlying graph and orientation σ.The rank of the adjacency matrix of G is called the rank of G and is denoted by r(G).The rank of the skew-adjacency matrix of G~σ is called the skew-rank of G~σ and is denoted by sr(G~σ).Let V(G)be the vertex set and E(G) be the edge set of G.The cyclomatic number of G,denoted by c(G),is equal to |E(G)|-|V(G)|+ω(G),where ω(G) is the number of the components of G.It is proved for any oriented graph G~σ that-2c(G)≤sr(G~σ)-r(G)≤2c(G).In this paper,we prove that there is no oriented graph G~σwith sr(G~σ)-r(G)=2c(G)-1,and in addition,there are infinitely many oriented graphs G~σ with connected underlying graphs such that c(G)=k and sr(G~σ)-r(G)=2c(G)-l for every integers k,l satisfying 0 ≤l≤4k and l≠1.

We propose and analyze a single-interval Legendre-Gauss-Radau(LGR)spectral collocation method for nonlinear second-order initial value problems of ordinary differential equations.We design an efficient iterative algorithm and prove spectral convergence for the single-interval LGR collocation method.For more effective implementation,we propose a multi-interval LGR spectral collocation scheme,which provides us great flexibility with respect to the local time steps and local approximation degrees.Moreover,we combine the multi-interval LGR collocation method in time with the Legendre-Gauss-Lobatto collocation method in space to obtain a space-time spectral collocation approximation for nonlinear second-order evolution equations.Numerical results show that the proposed methods have high accuracy and excellent long-time stability.Numerical comparison between our methods and several commonly used methods are also provided.

Background Exposure to bisphenol A(BPA),an environmental pollutant known for its endocrine-disrupting properties,during gestation has been reported to increase the risk of fetal growth restriction(FGR)in an ovine model of pregnancy.We hypothesized that the FGR results from the BPA-induced insufficiency and barrier dysfunction of the placenta,oxidative stress,inflammatory responses,autophagy and endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS).However,precise mechanisms underlying the BPA-induced placental dysfunction,and subsequently,FGR,as well as the potential involvement of placental ERS in these complications,remain to be investigated.Methods In vivo experiment,16 twin-pregnant(from d 40 to 130 of gestation)Hu ewes were randomly distributed into two groups(8 ewes each).One group served as a control and received corn oil once a day,whereas the other group received BPA(5 mg/kg/d as a subcutaneous injection).In vitro study,ovine trophoblast cells(OTCs)were exposed to 4 treatments,6 replicates each.The OTCs were treated with 400μmol/L BPA,400μmol/L BPA+0.5μg/m L tunicamycin(Tm;ERS activator),400μmol/L BPA+1μmol/L 4-phenyl butyric acid(4-PBA;ERS antagonist)and DMEM/F12 complete medium(control),for 24 h.Results In vivo experiments,pregnant Hu ewes receiving the BPA from 40 to 130 days of pregnancy experienced a decrease in placental efficiency,progesterone(P4)level and fetal weight,and an increase in placental estrogen(E2)level,together with barrier dysfunctions,OS,inflammatory responses,autophagy and ERS in type A cotyledons.In vitro experiment,the OTCs exposed to BPA for 24 h showed an increase in the E2 level and related protein and gene expressions of autophagy,ERS,pro-apoptosis and inflammatory response,and a decrease in the P4 level and the related protein and gene expressions of antioxidant,anti-apoptosis and barrier function.Moreover,treating the OTCs with Tm aggravated BPA-induced dysfunction of barrier and endocrine(the increased E2 level and decreased P4 level),OS,inflammatory responses,autophagy,and ERS.However,treati

Highly efficient and stable iron electrodes are of great significant to the development of iron-air battery(IAB).In this paper,iron nanoparticle-encapsulated C–N composite(NanoFe@CN)was synthesized by pyrolysis using polyaniline as the C–N source.Electrochemical performance of the NanoFe@CN in different electrolytes(alkaline,neutral,and quasi-neutral)was investigated via cyclic voltammetry(CV).The IAB was assembled with NanoFe@CN as the anode and IrO_(2)+Pt/C as the cathode.The effects of different discharging/charging current densities and electrolytes on the battery performance were also studied.Neutral K_(2)SO_(4)electrolyte can effectively suppress the passivation of iron electrode,and the battery showed a good cycling stability during 180 charging/discharging cycles.Compared to the pure nano-iron(NanoFe)battery,the NanoFe@CN battery has a more stable cycling stability either in KOH or NH_(4)Cl+KCl electrolyte.

Two missense STK11 gene variations impaired LKB1/adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase signaling in Peutz-Jeghers syndrome

BACKGROUND Peutz-Jeghers syndrome(PJS)is a rare hereditary neoplastic disorder mainly associated with serine/threonine kinase 11(STK11/LKB1)gene mutations.Preimplantation genetic testing can protect a patient’s offspring from mutated genes;however,some variations in this gene have been interpreted as variants of uncertain significance(VUS),which complicate reproductive decision-making in genetic counseling.AIM To identify the pathogenicity of two missense variants and provide clinical guidance.METHODS Whole exome gene sequencing and Sanger sequencing were performed on the peripheral blood of patients with PJS treated at the Reproductive and Genetic Hospital of Citic-Xiangya.Software was employed to predict the protein structure,conservation,and pathogenicity of the two missense variation sites in patients with PJS.Additionally,plasmids were constructed and transfected into HeLa cells to observe cell growth.The differences in signal pathway expression between the variant group and the wild-type group were compared using western blot and immunohistochemistry.Statistical analysis was performed using one-way analysis of variance.PG(p.Arg297Gly)and c.733C>T(p.Leu245Phe)]in 9 unrelated PJS families who were seeking reproductive assistance.The two missense VUS were located in the catalytic domain of serine/threonine kinase,which is a key structure of the liver kinase B1(LKB1)protein.In vitro experiments showed that the phosphorylation levels of adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase(AMPK)at Thr172 and LKB1 at Ser428 were significantly higher in transfected variation-type cells than in wild-type cells.In addition,the two missense STK11 variants promoted the proliferation of HeLa cells.Subsequent immunohistochemical analysis showed that phosphorylated-AMPK(Thr172)expression was significantly lower in gastric,colonic,and uterine polyps from PJS patients with missense variations than in non-PJS patients.Our find

A GMDA clustering algorithm based on evidential reasoning architecture

The traditional clustering algorithm is difficult to deal with the identification and division of uncertain objects distributed in the overlapping region,and aimed at solving this problem,the Evidential Clustering based on General Mixture Decomposition Algorithm(GMDA-EC)is proposed.First,the belief classification of target cluster is carried out,and the sample category of target distribution overlapping region is extended.Then,on the basis of General Mixture Decomposition Algorithm(GMDA)clustering,the fusion model of evidence credibility and evidence relative entropy is constructed to generate the basic probability assignment of the target and achieve the belief division of the target.Finally,the performance of the algorithm is verified by the synthetic dataset and the measured dataset.The experimental results show that the algorithm can reflect the uncertainty of target clustering results more comprehensively than the traditional probabilistic partition clustering algorithm.

Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a complicated neurodegenerative disease,characterized by the accumulation ofα-synuclein(α-syn)in Lewy bodies and neurites,and massive loss of midbrain dopamine neurons.Increasing evidence suggests that gut microbiota and microbial metabolites are involved in the development of PD.Among these,short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs),the most abundant microbial metabolites,have been proven to play a key role in brain-gut communication.In this review,we analyze the role of SCFAs in the pathology of PD from multiple dimensions and summarize the alterations of SCFAs in PD patients as well as their correlation with motor and non-motor symptoms.Future research should focus on further elucidating the role of SCFAs in neuroinflammation,as well as developing novel strategies employing SCFAs and their derivatives to treat PD.
