Transparent conductive films that are based on nanowire networks are essential to construct flexible,wearable,and even stretchable electronics.However,large-scale precise micropatterning,especially with regard to the controllability of the organizing orientation of nanowires,is a critical challenge.Herein,we proposed a liquid film rupture self-assembly approach for manufacturing transparent conductive films with microstructure arrays based on a highly ordered nanowire network.The large-scale microstructure conductive films were fabricated through air-liquid interface self-assembly and liquid film rupture self-assembly.Six typical micropattern morphologies,including square,hexagon,circle,serpentine,etc.,were prepared to reveal the universal applicability of the proposed approach.The homogeneity and controllability of this approach were verified for multiple assemblies.With the assembly cycles increasing,the optical transmittance decreases slightly.In addition,theoretical model analysis is carried out,and the analytical formula of the speed of the film moving with the surface tension and the density of the liquid film is presented.Finally,the feasibility of this approach for piezoresistive strain sensors is verified.This fabrication approach demonstrated a cost-effective and efficient method for precisely arranging nanowires,which is useful in transparent and wearable applications.

With the development of artificial intelligence,neural network provides unique opportunities for holography,such as high fidelity and dynamic calculation.How to obtain real 3D scene and generate high fidelity hologram in real time is an urgent problem.Here,we propose a liquid lens based holographic camera for real 3D scene hologram acquisition using an end-to-end physical model-driven network(EEPMD-Net).As the core component of the liquid camera,the first 10 mm large aperture electrowetting-based liquid lens is proposed by using specially fabricated solution.The design of the liquid camera ensures that the multi-layers of the real 3D scene can be obtained quickly and with great imaging performance.The EEPMD-Net takes the information of real 3D scene as the input,and uses two new structures of encoder and decoder networks to realize low-noise phase generation.By comparing the intensity information between the reconstructed image after depth fusion and the target scene,the composite loss function is constructed for phase optimization,and the high-fidelity training of hologram with true depth of the 3D scene is realized for the first time.The holographic camera achieves the high-fidelity and fast generation of the hologram of the real 3D scene,and the reconstructed experiment proves that the holographic image has the advantage of low noise.The proposed holographic camera is unique and can be used in 3D display,measurement,encryption and other fields.

Biomass is one most abundant resource on the earth providing important energies in support of so-cioeconomic development in many areas.Burning of biomass fuels comprises to nearly 10%of the total energy from anthropogenic combustion processes:however,as the burning is usually incomplete,this process yields products of incomplete combustion posing consequently significant impacts on air quality,human health,and climate change.Here,we analyzed spatiotemporal characteristics in intentional and unintentional biomass burning from different sectors,discussed impacts of biomass burning emissions on indoor and outdoor air quality,and consequent influences on human health.The global total con-sumption amount of biomass including both natural and anthropogenic sources was approximately 7900 Tg in 2019,with significantly large regional and sectorial discrepancies among regions.Globally,anthropogenic biomass burning amounts increased gradually,but notably in some developing countries like China residential consumption of biomass fuels,as one large sector of biomass use,decreased over time.Uncommercial biomass consumption needs to be accurately quantified.There are relatively rich datasets of pollutant emission factors from biomass burning,including laboratory and field tests,but still large variations exit and contribute substantially to the uncertainty in emission inventory.Global pri-mary PM2.5,black carbon and organic carbon emissions from biomass burning were about 51,4.6,and 29 Tg,respectively,contributing to nearly 70%,55%,and 90%of the total emission from all sources,and emissions from the residential sector and open fires are major sources.Brown carbon emissions from biomass burning attracts growing interests but available studies adopted different methodologies challenging the comparability of those results.Biomass burning emissions polluted not only ambient air but more severely indoor air quality,adversely affecting human health.Future studies that should be emphasized and promoted are suggested.

Mercury(Hg)is one of the most dangerous contaminants and has sparked global concern since it poses a health risk to humans when consumed through rice.Sulfur(S)is a crucial component for plant growth,and S may reduce Hg accumulation in rice grains.However,the detailed effects of S and the mechanisms underlying S-mediated responses in Hg-stressed rice plants remain unclear.Currently,to investigate the effects of S addition on rice growth,Hg accumulation,physiological indexes,and gene expression profiles,rice seedlings were hydroponically treated with Hg(20μmol/L Hg Cl_(2))and Hg plus elemental sulfur(100 mg/L).S application significantly reduced Hg accumulation in Hg-stressed rice roots and alleviated the inhibitory effects of Hg on rice growth.S addition significantly reduced Hg-induced reactive oxygen species generation,membrane lipid peroxidation levels,and activities of antioxidant enzymes while increasing glutathione content in leaves.Transcriptomic analysis of roots identified 3,411,2,730,and 581 differentially expressed genes in the control(CK)vs.Hg,CK vs.Hg+S,and Hg vs.Hg+S datasets,respectively.The pathway of S-mediated biological metabolism fell into six groups:biosynthesis and metabolism,expression regulation,transport,stimulus response,oxidation reduction,and cell wall biogenesis.The majority of biological process-related genes were upregulated under Hg stress compared with CK treatment,but downregulated in the Hg+S treatment.The results provide transcriptomic and physiological evidence that S may be critical for plant Hg stress resistance and will help to develop strategies for reduction or phytoremediation of Hg contamination.

DC-DC converter-based multi-bus DC microgrids(MGs) in series have received much attention, where the conflict between voltage recovery and current balancing has been a hot topic. The lack of models that accurately portray the electrical characteristics of actual MGs while is controller design-friendly has kept the issue active. To this end, this paper establishes a large-signal model containing the comprehensive dynamical behavior of the DC MGs based on the theory of high-order fully actuated systems, and proposes distributed optimal control based on this. The proposed secondary control method can achieve the two goals of voltage recovery and current sharing for multi-bus DC MGs. Additionally, the simple structure of the proposed approach is similar to one based on droop control, which allows this control technique to be easily implemented in a variety of modern microgrids with different configurations. In contrast to existing studies, the process of controller design in this paper is closely tied to the actual dynamics of the MGs. It is a prominent feature that enables engineers to customize the performance metrics of the system. In addition, the analysis of the stability of the closed-loop DC microgrid system, as well as the optimality and consensus of current sharing are given. Finally, a scaled-down solar and battery-based microgrid prototype with maximum power point tracking controller is developed in the laboratory to experimentally test the efficacy of the proposed control method.

Evaluation of Nonbreaking Wave-Induced Mixing Parameterization Schemes Based on a One-Dimensional Ocean Model

Surface waves have a considerable effect on vertical mixing in the upper ocean.In the past two decades,the vertical mixing induced through nonbreaking surface waves has been used in ocean and climate models to improve the simulation of the upper ocean.Thus far,several nonbreaking wave-induced mixing parameterization schemes have been proposed;however,no quantitative comparison has been performed among them.In this paper,a one-dimensional ocean model was used to compare the performances of five schemes,including those of Qiao et al.(Q),Hu and Wang(HW),huang and Qiao(HQ),Pleskachevsky et al.(P),and Ghantous and Babanin(GB).Similar to previous studies,all of these schemes can decrease the simulated sea surface temperature(SST),increase the subsurface temperature,and deepen the mixed layer,thereby alleviating the common thermal deviation problem of the ocean model for upper ocean simulation.Among these schemes,the HQ scheme exhibited the weakest wave-induced mixing effect,and the HW scheme exhibited the strongest effect;the other three schemes exhibited roughly the same effect.In particular,the Q and P schemes exhibited nearly the same effect.In the simulation based on observations from the Ocean Weather Station Papa,the HQ scheme exhibited the best performance,followed by the Q scheme.In the experiment with the HQ scheme,the root-mean-square deviation of the simulated SST from the observations was 0.43℃,and the mixed layer depth(MLD)was 2.0 m.As a contrast,the deviations of the SST and MLD reached 1.25℃ and 8.4 m,respectively,in the experiment without wave-induced mixing.

In this paper,to study the mechanical responses of a solid propellant subjected to ultrahigh acceleration overload during the gun-launch process,specifically designed projectile flight tests with an onboard measurement system were performed.Two projectiles containing dummy HTPB propellant grains were successfully recovered after the flight tests with an ultrahigh acceleration overload value of 8100 g.The onboard-measured time-resolved axial displacement,contact stress and overload values were successfully obtained and analysed.Uniaxial compression tests of the dummy HTPB propellant used in the gunlaunched tests were carried out at low and intermediate strain rates to characterize the propellant's dynamic properties.A linear viscoelastic constitutive model was employed and applied in finite-element simulations of the projectile-launching process.During the launch process,the dummy propellant grain exhibited large deformation due to the high acceleration overload,possibly leading to friction between the motor case and propellant grain.The calculated contact stress showed good agreement with the experimental results,though discrepancies in the overall displacement of the dummy propellant grain were observed.The dynamic mechanical response process of the dummy propellant grain was analysed in detail.The results can be used to estimate the structural integrity of the analysed dummy propellant grain during the gun-launch process.

Wnt signaling are critical pathway involved in organ development, tumorigenesis, and cancer progression. WNT7A, a member of the Wnt family, remains poorly understood in terms of its role and the underlying molecular mechanisms it entails in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). According to the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), transcriptome sequencing data of HNSCC, the expression level of WNT7A in tumors was found to be higher than in adjacent normal tissues, which was validated using Real-time RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry. Unexpectedly, overexpression of WNT7A did not activate the canonical Wnt-β-catenin pathway in HNSCC. Instead, our findings suggested that WNT7A potentially activated the FZD7/JAK1/STAT3 signaling pathway, leading to enhanced cell proliferation, self-renewal, and resistance to apoptosis. Furthermore, in a patient-derived xenograft (PDX) tumor model, high expression of WNT7A and phosphorylated STAT3 was observed, which positively correlated with tumor progression.These findings underscore the significance of WNT7A in HNSCC progression and propose the targeting of key molecules within the FZD7/JAK1/STAT3 pathway as a promising strategy for precise treatment of HNSCC.

BACKGROUND N6-methyladenosine(m6A)modification represents the predominant alteration found in eukaryotic messenger RNA and plays a crucial role in the progression of various tumors.However,despite its significance,the comprehensive investigation of METTL5,a key m6A methyltransferase,in colorectal cancer(CRC)remains limited.AIM To investigate the role of METTL5 in CRC.METHODS We assessed METTL5 expression levels in clinical samples obtained from CRC patients as well as in CRC cell lines.To elucidate the downstream targets of METTL5,we performed RNA-sequencing analysis coupled with correlation analysis,leading us to identify Toll-like receptor 8(TLR8)as a potential downstream target.In vitro functional assessments of METTL5 and TLR8 were conducted using CCK-8 assays,scratch assays,as well as assays measuring cell migration and invasion.RESULTS Our findings reveal a pronounced upregulation of METTL5 expression in both CRC cells and tissues,which correlated significantly with an unfavorable prognosis.In vitro experiments unequivocally demonstrated the oncogenic role of METTL5,as evidenced by its promotion of CRC cell proliferation,invasion,and migration.Notably,we identified TLR8 as a downstream target of METTL5,and subsequent down-regulation of TLR8 led to a significant inhibition of CRC cell proliferation,invasion,and tumor growth.CONCLUSION The heightened expression of METTL5 in CRC is strongly associated with clinicopathological features and a poor prognosis,thereby underscoring its potential utility as a critical marker for facilitating early diagnosis and prognostication in CRC.
