A new double betaine 1,1′-（propane-1,3-diyl）dipyridinium-4-carboxylate L has been synthesized. Reaction of 1, 1′-（propane-1,3-diyl）dipyridinium-4-carboxylate tetrahydrate 1 with Co（ClO4）2-6H2O leads to the formation of a new Co（Ⅱ） coordination compound, namely [Co（H2O）6]-2H2O-2L-2ClO4 2. The crystal structures of 1 and 2 have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction method. Crystal data for 1. monoclinic, space group C2/c, a = 18.945（4）, b = 7.700（2）, c = l 1.888（2）A,β = 101.67（3）°, V = 1698.3（6） A^3, Z = 4, F（000） = 760.0, Dc = 1.402 g/cm^3, the final R = 0.0607 and wR = 0.1607 for 950 observed reflections （1 〉 2σ（I））; and those for 2： monoclinic, space group P21/c, a = 17.982（1）, b = 15.879 （1）, c = 7.0716（5）/A,β= 100.675（1）°, V= 1984.3（3） ,A^3 Z= 4, F（000） = 1010.0, Dc = 1.631 g/cm^3, the final R = 0.0316 and wR = 0.0896 for 3784 observed reflections （1 〉20（I））. Crystal structure analysis indicates that in 1, molecules of L in a ＂V-shaped＂ conformation are linked to chains sustained by O-H…O hydrogen bonds between carboxylate groups and solvent water molecules. The chains are joined by O-H…O and C-H…O hydrogen bonds to further expand into a three-dimensional structure. For 2, molecules of L in a ＂Z-shaped＂ conformation are linked by hydrogen bonds between carboxylate groups and aqua ligands to form a chain of loops running down the b axis. The （2D→2D） polythreading in compound 2 represents the mode of parallel interpenetration of 2D sheets, having polyrotaxane character.

A flexible double betaine 1,4-bis（pyridinil-4-carboxylato）-1,4-dimethylbenzene L has been used to generate two Cu（Ⅱ）-containing metal complexes that exhibit different polymeric structures： [Cu（H2O）2 L].2NO3 1 and [Cu（H2O）3 L].2Cl.H2O 2. The crystal structures of 1 and 2 have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction method. Crystal data for 1： triclinic, space group PT, a = 5.253（2）, b = 7.406（3）, c = 14.792（5） A, α = 84.195（5）, β = 80.014（5）, γ = 78.053（5）°, V= 553.2（3）A^3, Z = 1, F（000） = 293, Dc = 1.717 g/cm^3, the final R = 0.0385 and wR = 0.1079 for 1883 observed reflections （I 〉 2σ（I））; and those for 2： monoclinic, space group P21/c, a = 10.222（3）, b = 25.287（7）, c = 9.277（3）A, β = 93.572（5）°, V = 2393.2（12）A^3, Z = 4, F（000） = 1140, Dc = 1.540 g/cm^3, the final R = 0.0472 and wR = 0.0956 for 3204 observed reflections （I 〉2o（/））.

Fatigue Property of Low Cost and High Strength Wheel Steel for Commercial Vehicle

The fatigue properties of the newly developed wheel steel used for commercial vehicles were studied using push-pull axial loading fatigue tests with stress ratio R=-1. Q235B steel, which is conventionally applied to commercial vehicle wheels, was also analyzed for comparison. Although the chemical composition and microstructure （ferrite and pearlite） of newly developed wheel steel were similar to those of Q235B, the 107 cycles fatigue limit of the new wheel steel was 260 MPa, which is 24% higher than that of Q235B （210 MPa）. The improvement of the fatigue strength of the new wheel steel can be attributed to grain refinement. In order to investigate the effect of the decrease in thickness of the wheel steel on the fatigue property of the wheel, dynamic cornering fatigue tests were conducted on full scale wheels with the model of 8.25 × 22.5. The results indicated that the newly developed wheel steel had outstanding fatigue life even if the mass loss was 10% in comparison with Q235B.

In this study, the formation of iodinated trihalomethanes(I-THMs) was systematically evaluated and compared for three treatment processes-(i) chlorination,(ii) monochloramine, and(iii) dichloramination-under different p H conditions. The results demonstrated that ITHM formation decreased in the order of monochloramination > dichloramination > chlorination in acidic and neutral p H. However, the generation of I-THMs increased in the dichloramination line condition. Specifically, the formation of I-THMs increased as p H increased from 5 to 9 during chlorination and monochloramination processes, while the maximum I-THM formation occurred at pH 7 during dichloramination. The discrepancy could be mainly related to the stability of the three chlor(am) ine disinfectants at different p H conditions. Moreover, in order to gain a thorough insight into the mechanisms of I-THM formation during dichloramination, further investigation was conducted on the influencing factors of DOC concentration and Br/Imolar ratio. I-THM formation exhibited an increasing and then decreasing trend as the concentration of DOC increased from 1 to 7 mg-C/L, while the yield of I-THMs increased with increasing Br/Imolar ratio from 5:0 to 5:10. During the three processes mentioned above, similar I-THM formation results were also obtained in real water, which indicates that the excessive generation of I-THMs should be paid special attention during the disinfection of iodide-containing water.

The purpose of this study is to calculate the ratios of fetal limb bone to nasal bone length (NBL) obtained by transabdominal ultrasound between 19 and 28 weeks of gestation. Cross-sectional data were obtained from 1408 women with singleton pregnancies who underwent an advanced prenatal ultrasound examination from August 2006 to September 2008. The single measurement plane of fetal limb bones was on the longest section of each structure with appropriate image magnification. To assess repeatability of the intraobserver, two repeated measurements were obtained in 44 fetuses. The ratio of fetuses with biparietal diameter (BPD)/NBL was compared with those of fetal limb bones/NBL. The mean ratio was found between fetal NBL measurements and BPD (7.240), humerus length (HL) (4.807), radius length (RL) (4.157), ulna length (UL) (4.502), femur length (FL) (5.131), tibia length (TL) (4.528), and fibula length (FiL) (4.507). The reference ranges of fetal long bone length/NBL ratios for the second trimester was established by transabdominal sonography. There were no significant increases in these ratios with gestational age, especially the HL/NBL ratio.

Vertebrate interferon(IFN)expression is fine-tuned in order to avoid excessive tissue injury under normal conditions and during virus ***(fish novel TRIM,FTR)proteins are reported to regulate the fish IFN ***,we identify a novel finTRIM gene from yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco),which is sequentially named PfFTR100 according to the nomenclature rule in ***-wide analyses reveal that FTR100 is unique to Otomorpha fish,with a single copy in spite of additional genome duplication in some fish *** that few of the 99 finTRIM genes identified in zebrafish are conserved in main fish branches and most,such as FTR100,are unique to distinct branches due to lineage-specific expansion of finTRIM genes,we develop a nomenclature for newly cloned finTRIM genes from different fish ***100 mRNA is not induced by virus infection,with a relatively high expression level comparable to that of cellular IFN and some IFN-stimulated genes(ISGs)in virally-infected ***,ectopically-expressed PfFTR100 protein is attenuated in virally-infected cells through the proteasomal-dependent *** of PfFTR100 promotes SVCV replication by downregulating the constitutive and inducible IFN response via a mechanism by which PfFTR100 targets IRF3 and IRF7 to attenuate their mRNA levels rather than their protein *** results indicate that yellow catfish FTR100 is essential for homeostatic regulation of fish tonic IFN response.

The regenerative capacity of the central nervous system is very limited and few effective treatments are currently available for spinal cord *** is therefore a priority to develop new drugs that can promote structural and functional recovery after spinal cord *** studies have shown that peptides can promote substantial repair and regeneration of injured *** amphibians have a pronounced ability to regenerate the spinal cord,few studies have investigated the effect of amphibian spinal cord-derived peptides on spinal cord *** we report for the first time the successful identification and isolation of a new polypeptide,VD11(amino acid sequence:VDELWPPWLPC),from the spinal cord of an endemic Chinese amphibian(Odorrana schmackeri).In vitro experiments showed that VD11 promoted the secretion of nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor in BV2 cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide,as well as the proliferation and synaptic elongation of PC12 cells subjected to *** vivo experiments showed that intravertebral injection of VD11 markedly promoted recovery of motor function in rats with spinal cord injury,alleviated pathological damage,and promoted axonal ***,RNA sequencing and western blotting showed that VD11 may affect spinal cord injury through activation of the AMPK and AKT signaling *** summary,we discovered a novel amphibian-derived peptide that promotes structural and functional recovery after spinal cord injury.

AIM： To use the tyrosinase minigene as a visual marker to perform microinjection training and improve the techniques related with transgene to greatly elevate the effidency of gene transfer. METHODS： A mouse tyrosinase minigene, i.e., TyBS, in which the 2.25-kb authentic genomic 5＇ non-coding flanking sequence of mouse tyrosinase was fused to a mouse tyrosinase cDNA, was introduced into the fertilized eggs of outbred Kunming albino mice. RESULTS： Of the 11 animals that developed from the injected eggs, two mice （P1 and #8） exhibited pigmented hair （P1） and eyes （P1 and #8）, as confirmed by PCR analysis for the tyrosinase minigene integrated into the genome. When founder P1 was bred to Kunming male mouse, six progeny out of 11 offspring inherited the transgene and the pigmented-eye phenotype. CONCLUSION： Taken together, these results suggest that this minigene encodes the active tyrosinase protein and that its 5＇ flanking region contains the sequences regulating the expression of mouse tyrosinase gene as expected. We have rescued the albino phenotype by introduction and expression of a functional tyrosinase minigene in the Kunming albino mouse and the transgene can be passed to subsequent generation. These findings also indicate that TyBS can be a useful visual marker gene in the co-transgenic experiments.
