In the present paper combining the relationship between wave steepness andwave age with the significant wave energy balance equation for wind wave, a new wind wave growthrelation is presented. Comparisons with the other existing wind wave growth relations show that theresults in present paper accord better with the wind wave growth process.

Studies have shown that microalloying Cu-Ni-Sn alloys using Al inhibits discontinuous precipitation reactions;however,the mechanism has not been investigated ***,this study explored the properties and precipitation evolution of Cu-15Ni-8Sn alloys without and with 1 wt%Al（Cu-15Ni-8Sn-1Al） during ageing at 500℃ through X-ray diffraction （XRD）,scanning electron microscopy and high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron *** results revealed that in Cu-15Ni-8Sn alloy,DO22ordering first occurred after spinodal decomposition,subsequently transitioning to an L12ordering phase,during which the discontinuous precipitates gradually nucleated at the grain boundaries and formed *** alloy hardness increased sharply with ordering and then decreased rapidly after reaching its peak value,due to the dominance of the discontinuous precipitation ***,the DO22ordered phase did not appear during the ageing of Cu-15Ni-8Sn-1Al alloy,and a Ni3(Alx,Sn1-x) intermetallic compound with L12structure was formed,consuming Ni and Sn atoms,thereby significantly suppressing the discontinuous precipitation reaction and improving the stability during prolonged *** tensile strength （yield strength） of Cu-15Ni-8Sn and Cu-15Ni-8Sn-1Al alloys at peak hardness were 855 （755） and 936 MPa （892 MPa）,respectively,and their main strengthening mechanisms were solid solution strengthening and precipitation *** addition of 1 wt% Al effectively improved the precipitation strengthening effect of Cu-Ni-Sn alloys but severely decreased the ductility.

Mg-Al-hydrotalcite with alkaline sites protects Ni/KIT-6 from formation of amorphous coke in glycerol steam reforming via tailoring reaction intermediates

During steam reforming,the performance of a catalyst and amount/property of coke are closely related to reaction intermediates reaching surface of a ***,modification of reaction intermediates by placing Mg-Al-hydrotalcite above Ni/KIT-6 catalyst in steam reforming of glycerol was conducted at 300 to 600°*** results revealed that the catalytic activity of Ni/KIT-6 in the lower bed was enhanced with either Mg1-Al5-hydrotalcite(containing more acidic sites)or Mg5-Al1-hydrotalcite(containing more alkaline sites)as upper-layer *** in situ infrared characterization of steam reforming demonstrated that Mg-Al-hydrotalcite catalyzed the deoxygenation of glycerol,facilitating the reforming of the partially deoxygenated intermediates over Ni/***-Al-hydrotalcite as protective catalyst,however,did not protect the Ni/KIT-6 from formation of more ***,this did not lead to further deactivation of Ni/KIT-6 while Mg5-Al1-hydrotalcite even substantially enhanced the catalytic stability,even though the coke was much more significant than that in the use of single Ni/KIT-6(52.7%vs.28.6%).The reason beneath this was change of the property of coke from more aliphatic to more ***5-Al1-hydrotalcite catalyzed dehydration of glycerol,producing dominantly reaction intermediates bearing C=C,which formed the catalytic coke of with carbon nanotube as the main form with smooth outer walls as well as higher aromaticity,C/H ratio,crystallinity,crystal carbon size,thermal stability,and resistivity toward oxidation on Ni/KIT-6 in the lower *** comparison,the abundance of acidic sites on Mg1-Al5-hydrotalcite catalyzed the formation of more oxygen-containing species,leading to the formation of carbon nanotubes of rough surface on Ni/KIT-6.

Biochar is a reactive carrier as it may be partially gasified with steam in steam reforming,which could influence the formation of reaction intermediates and modify catalytic ***,the Ni/biochar as well as two comparative catalysts,Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) and Ni/SiO_(2),with low nickel loading(2%(mass))was conducted to probe involvement of the varied carriers in the steam *** results indicated that the Ni/biochar performed excellent catalytic activity than Ni/SiO_(2) and Ni/Al_(2)O_(3),as the biochar carrier facilitated quick conversion of the -OH from dissociation of steam to gasify the oxygen-rich carbonaceous intermediates like C=O and C-O-C,resulting in low coverage while high exposure of nickel species for maintaining the superior catalytic *** converse,strong adsorption of aliphatic intermediates over Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) and Ni/SiO_(2) induced serious coking with polymeric coke as the main type(21.5%and 32.1%,respectively),which was significantly higher than that over Ni/biochar(3.9%).The coke over Ni/biochar was mainly aromatic or catalytic type with nanotube morphology and high *** high resistivity of Ni/biochar towards coking was due to the balance between formation of coke and gasification of coke and partially biochar with steam,which created developed mesopores in spent Ni/biochar while the coke blocked pores in Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) and Ni/SiO_(2) catalysts.

To the Editor:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is one of the main causes of cancer related death worldwide,and new cases are expected to continue to increase in future[1].Surgical resection is still the best way to remove the tumor and improve patient’s ***,resection of caudate lobe often presents a technical challenge,even to accomplished hepatic *** lobe is located anterior to the inferior vena cava(IVC)and posterior to the bifurcation of the portal vein(PV),generally consists of three regions:the paracaval portion,the left Spiegel lobe and the process portion[2].The anatomy of the paracaval portion includes the liver parenchyma ventral to the hepatic IVC and the area between the Spiegel lobe and the right lobe adjacent to the middle hepatic vein(MHV)ventrally,which was classified by Couinaud as segment IX[3].Here,we presented a case of HCC with successful downstaging therapy,as well as variation of MHV,which provides a safe path for anterior transection of segment IX.

Background:TopoisomeraseⅡalpha(TOP2A)has been reported to play a crucial role in the tumorigenesis of various cancer ***,the biological role of TOP2A in gallbladder cancer(GBC)remains *** current study aimed to explore the function and potential mechanism of TOP2A in ***:Based on Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis data,we found TOP2A was significantly up-regulated in GBC tissues and resulting in shorter overall *** real-time polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry were conducted to detect the expression of TOP2A in 45 pairs of GBC tissues and adjacent non-tumor *** vitro,cell proliferation,migration,and invasion ability were examined by cell counting kit-8 and transwell assay,***-mesenchymal transition(EMT)related and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B/mammalian target of rapamycin(PI3K/Akt/mTOR)pathway-related markers were measured by Western *** model assay was performed to evaluate the effect of TOP2A in ***:TOP2A was found up-regulated in GBC(tumor ***,12.62 vs.0.34)and correlated with the late tumor node metastasis stage(P=0.0032),present of lymph node metastasis(P=0.0273),and poor prognosis in GBC patients(log-rank P=0.028).In vitro and in vivo assays showed that knockdown of TOP2A notably inhibited cell proliferation,migration,invasion,EMT process,and tumor growth in *** addition,TOP2A down-regulation significantly decreased the protein levels of phosphor(p)-PI3K,p-Akt,and ***:Our study demonstrates that TOP2A was overexpressed in GBC and associated with poor prognosis in GBC ***2A promotes GBC cell proliferation,migration,invasion,EMT process,and tumor growth through activating PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway,and may serve as a novel prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for GBC.

Development of pore structures of activated carbon(AC)from activation of biomass with ZnCl_(2) relies on content and structure of cellulose/hemicellulose in the *** pretreatment of biomass could induce dehydration and/or aromatization to change the structure of cellulose/*** might interfere with evolution of structures of AC,which was investigated herein via thermal pretreatment of willow branch(WB)from 200 to 360℃and the subsequent activation with ZnCl_(2) at 550℃.The results showed that thermal pretreatment at 360℃(WB-360)could lead to substantial pyrolysis to form biochar,with a yield of 31.9%,accompanying with nearly complete destruction of cellulose crystals and remarkably enhanced aromatic ***,cellulose residual in WB-360 could still be activated to form AC-360 with specific surface area of 1837.9 m~2·g^(-1),which was lower than that in AC from activation of untreated WB(AC-blank,2077.8 m~2·g^(-1)).Nonetheless,the AC-200 from activation of WB-200 had more developed pores(2113.9 m~2·g^(-1))and superior capability for adsorption of phenol,due to increased permeability of ZnCl_(2) to the largely intact cellulose structure in *** thermal pretreatment did increase diameters of micropores of AC but reduced the overall yield of AC(26.8%for AC-blank versus 18.0%for AC-360),resulting from accelerated cracking but reduced intensity of ***-situ infrared characterization of the activation showed that ZnCl_(2) mainly catalyzed dehydration,dehydrogenation,condensation,and aromatization but not cracking,suppressing the formation of derivatives of cellulose and lignin in *** thermal pretreatment formed phenolic-OH and C=O with higher chemical innerness,which changed the reaction network in activation,shifting morphology of fibrous structures in AC-blank to“melting surface”in AC-200 or AC-280.
