Underwater Image Classification Based on EfficientnetB0 and Two-Hidden-Layer Random Vector Functional Link

The ocean plays an important role in maintaining the equilibrium of Earth’s ecology and providing humans access to a wealth of *** obtain a high-precision underwater image classification model,we propose a classification model that combines an EfficientnetB0 neural network and a two-hidden-layer random vector functional link network(EfficientnetB0-TRVFL).The features of underwater images were extracted using the EfficientnetB0 neural network pretrained via ImageNet,and a new fully connected layer was trained on the underwater image dataset using the transfer learning *** learning ensures the initial performance of the network and helps in the development of a high-precision classification ***,a TRVFL was proposed to improve the classification property of the *** construction of the two hidden layers exhibited a high accuracy when the same hidden layer nodes were *** parameters of the second hidden layer were obtained using a novel calculation method,which reduced the outcome error to improve the performance instability caused by the random generation of parameters of ***,the TRVFL classifier was used to classify features and obtain classification *** proposed EfficientnetB0-TRVFL classification model achieved 87.28%,74.06%,and 99.59%accuracy on the MLC2008,MLC2009,and Fish-gres datasets,*** best convolutional neural networks and existing methods were stacked up through box plots and Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests,*** increases imply improved systematization properties in underwater image classification *** image classification model offers important performance advantages and better stability compared with existing methods.

An analytical transient coal permeability model:Sorption non-equilibrium index-based swelling switch

Long-term permeability experiments have indicated that sorption-induced swelling can switch from internal to bulk depending on the evolutive sorption ***,this sorption swelling switch mechanism has not been considered in current analytical permeability *** study introduces a normalized sorption non-equilibrium index(SNEI)to characterize the sorption status,quantify the dynamical variations of matrix swelling accumulation and internal swelling partition,and formulate the sorption swelling switch *** incorporation of this index into the extended total effective stress concept leads to an analytical transient coal permeability *** results show that the sorption swelling switch itself results in the permeability switch under stress-constrained conditions,while the confined bulk swelling suppresses the permeability recovery to the continuous reduction under displacement-constrained *** verifications show that current experimental observations correspond to the early stages of the transient process,and they could be extended to the whole process with these *** study demonstrates the importance of the sorption swelling switch in determining permeability evolution using simple boundary *** provides new insights into experimentally revealing the sorption swelling switch in the future,and underscores the requirement of a rigorous model for complex coupled processes in large-scale coal seams.

Effect of intermittent joint distribution on the mechanical and acoustic behavior of rock masses

The mechanical characteristics and acoustic behavior of rock masses are greatly influenced by stochastic *** this study,numerical models of rock masses incorporating intermittent joints with different numbers and dip angles were produced using the finite element method(FEM)with the intrinsic cohesive zone model(ICZM).Then,the uniaxial compressive and wave propagation simulations were *** results indicate that the joint number and dip angle can affect the mechanical and acoustic properties of the *** uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)and wave velocity of rock masses decrease monotonically as the joint number ***,the wave velocity grows monotonically as the joint dip angle *** the joint dip angle is 45°–60°,the UCS of the rock mass is lower than that of other dip *** wave velocity parallel to the joints is greater than that perpendicular to the *** the dip angle of joints remains unchanged,the UCS and wave velocity are positively *** the joint dip angle increases,the variation amplitude of the UCS regarding the wave velocity *** reveal the effect of the joint distribution on the velocity,a theoretical model was also *** to the theoretical wave velocity,the change in wave velocity of models with various joint numbers and dip angles was consistent with the simulation ***,a theoretical indicator(*** tensor)was adopted to analyze the variation of the wave velocity and UCS.

Failure characteristics and fracture mechanism of overburden rock induced by mining:A case study in China

This study employs similar simulation testing and discrete element simulation coupling to analyze the failure and deformation processes of a model coal seam's *** caving area of the overburden rock is divided into three zones:the delamination fracture zone,broken fracture zone,and compaction *** caving and fracture zones'heights are approximately 110 m above the coal seam,with a maximum subsidence of 11 *** delamination fracture zone's porosity range is between 0.2 and 0.3,while the remainder of the roof predominantly exhibits a porosity of less than *** addition,the numerical model's stress analysis revealed that the overburden rock's displacement zone forms an'arch-beam'structure starting from 160 m,with the maximum and minimum stress values decreasing as the distance of advancement *** the stress beam interval of the overburden rock,the maximum value changes periodically as the advancement distance *** on a comparative analysis between observable data from on-site work and numerical simulation results,the stress data from the numerical simulation are essentially consistent with the actual results detected on-site,indicating the validity of the numerical simulation results.

Tuning interaction strength between CeO_(2) and iridium to promote CO oxidation over Ir/TiO_(2)

The hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal(HPA) axis is a critical component of the neuroendocrine system,playing a central role in regulating the body's stress response and modulating various physiological processes. Dysregulation of HPA axis function disrupts the neuroendocrine equilibrium, resulting in impaired physiological functions. Acupuncture is recognized as a non-pharmacological type of therapy which has been confirmed to play an important role in modulating the HPA axis and thus favorably targets diseases with abnormal activation of the HPA axis. With numerous studies reporting the promising efficacy of acupuncture for neuroendocrine disorders, a comprehensive review in terms of the underlying molecular mechanism for acupuncture, especially in regulating the HPA axis, is currently in need. This review fills the need and summarizes recent breakthroughs, from the basic principles and the pathological changes of HPA axis dysfunction, to the molecular mechanisms by which acupuncture regulates the HPA axis. These mechanisms include the modulation of multiple neurotransmitters and their receptors, neuropeptides and their receptors, and microRNAs in the paraventricular nucleus,hippocampus, amygdala and pituitary gland, which alleviate the hyperfunctioning of the HPA *** review comprehensively summarizes the mechanism of acupuncture in regulating HPA axis dysfunction for the first time, providing new targets and prospects for further exploration of acupuncture.

Two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides have been extensively studied due to their fascinating physical properties for constructing high-performance ***,their relatively low responsivities,current on/off ratios and response speeds have hindered their widespread ***,we fabricated a high-performance photodetector based on few-layer MoTe_(2) and CdS_(0.42)Se_(0.58) flake *** photodetector exhibited a high responsivity of 7221 A/W,a large current on/off ratio of 1.73×10^(4),a fast response speed of 90/120μs,external quantum efficiency(EQE)reaching up to 1.52×10^(6)%and detectivity(D*)reaching up to 1.67×10^(15) *** excellent performance of the heterojunction photodetector was analyzed by a photocurrent mapping test and first-principle ***,the visible light imaging function was successfully attained on the MoTe_(2)/CdS_(0.42)Se_(0.58) photodetectors,indicating that the device had practical imaging application *** findings provide a reference for the design of ultrahighperformance MoTe_(2)-based photodetectors.

Overexpression of auxin/indole-3-acetic acid gene MdIAA24 enhances Glomerella leaf spot resistance in apple(Malus domestica)

Auxin is throughout the entire life process of plants and is involved in the crosstalk with other hormones,yet its role in apple disease resistance remains *** this study,we investigated the function of auxin/indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)gene Md IAA24 overexpression in enhancing apple resistance to Glomerella leaf spot(GLS)caused by Colletotrichum fructicola(Cf).Analysis revealed that,upon Cf infection,35S::Md IAA24 plants exhibited enhanced superoxide dismutase(SOD)and peroxidase(POD)activity,as well as a greater amount of glutathione(reduced form)and ascorbic acid accumulation,resulting in less H_(2)O_(2)and superoxide anion(O_(2)^(-))in apple ***,35S::Md IAA24 plants produced more protocatechuic acid,proanthocyanidins B1,proanthocyanidins B2 and chlorogenic acid when infected with *** Cf infection,35S::Md IAA24 plants presented lower levels of IAA and jasmonic acid(JA),but higher levels of salicylic acid(SA),along with the expression of related *** overexpression of Md IAA24 was observed to enhance the activity of chitinase andβ-1,3-glucanase in Cfinfected *** results indicated the ability of Md IAA24 to regulate the crosstalk between IAA,JA and SA,and to improve reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging and defense-related enzymes *** jointly contributed to GLS resistance in apple.

Application of Gaussian Beam Summation Migration in Reflected In-seam Wave Imaging

The geological conditions for coal mining in China are complex,with various structural issues such as faults and collapsed columns seriously compromising the safety of coal mine ***-seam wave exploration is an effective technique for acquiring detailed information on geological structures in coal seam working ***,the existing reflected in-seam wave imaging technique can no longer meet the exploration precision requirements,making it imperative to develop a new reflected in-seam wave imaging *** study applies the Gaussian beam summation(GBS)migration method to imaging coal seams'reflected in-seam wave ***,with regard to the characteristics of the reflected in-seam wave data,methods such as wavefield removal and enveloped superposition are employed for the corresponding wavefield separation,wave train compression and other processing of reflected in-seam ***,imaging is performed using the GBS migration *** feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method for reflected in-seam wave imaging are validated by conducting GBS migration tests on 3D coal-seam fault models with different dip angles and *** applying the method to reflected in-seam wave data for an actual coal seam working face,accurate imaging of a fault structure is obtained,thereby validating its practicality.
