Recent advances in lymphoma treatment have significantly improved the survival of patients;however,the current approaches also have varying side effects.To overcome these,it is critical to implement individualized treatment according to the patient’s condition.Therefore,the early identification of high-risk groups and targeted treatment are important strategies for prolonging the survival time and improving the quality of life of patients.Interim positron emission tomography-computed tomography(PET-CT)has a high prognostic value,which can reflect chemosensitivity and identify patients for whom treatment may fail under this regimen.To date,many prospective clinical studies on interim PET(iPET)-adapted therapy have been conducted.In this review,we focus on the treatment strategies entailed in these studies,as well as the means and timing of iPET assessment,with the aim of exploring the efficacy and existing issues regarding iPET-adapted treatment.It is expected that the improved use of PET-CT examination can facilitate treatment decision-making to identify precise treatment options.

Background We aimed to evaluate whether major depressive disorder(MDD)could aggravate the outcomes of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)or whether the genetic liability to COVID-19 could trigger MDD.Aims We aimed to assess bidirectional causal associations between MDD and COVID-19.Methods We performed genetic correlation and Mendelian randomisation(MR)analyses to assess potential associations between MDD and three COVID-19 outcomes.Literature-based network analysis was conducted to construct molecular pathways connecting MDD and COVID-19.Results We found that MDD has positive genetic correlations with COVID-19 outcomes(rg:0.10–0.15).Our MR analysis indicated that genetic liability to MDD is associated with increased risks of COVID-19 infection(odds ratio(OR)=1.05,95%confidence interval(CI):1.00 to 1.10,p=0.039).However,genetic liability to the three COVID-19 outcomes did not confer any causal effects on MDD.Pathway analysis identified a panel of immunity-related genes that may mediate the links between MDD and COVID-19.Conclusions Our study suggests that MDD may increase the susceptibility to COVID-19.Our findings emphasise the need to increase social support and improve mental health intervention networks for people with mood disorders during the pandemic.

Tradable green certificate(TGC)scheme promotes the development of renewable energy industry which currently has a dual effect on economy and environment.TGC market efficiency is reflected in stimulating renewable energy investment,but may be reduced by the herding behavior of market players.This paper proposes and simulates an artificial TGC market model which contains heterogeneous agents,communication structure,and regulatory rules to explore the characteristics of herding behavior and its effects on market efficiency.The results show that the evolution of herding behavior reduces information asymmetry and improves market efficiency,especially when the borrowing is allowed.In addition,the fundamental strategy is diffused by herding evolution,but TGC market efficiency may be remarkably reduced by herding with borrowing mechanism.Moreover,the herding behavior may evolve to an equilibrium where the revenue of market players is comparable,thus the fairness in TGC market is improved.

Pure organic materials with persistent and efficient room-temperature phosphorescence have recently aroused great research interest due to their vast potential in applications.One crucial design principle for such materials is to suppress as much as possible the non-radiative decay of the triplet exciton while maintaining a moderate phosphorescent radiative rate.However,molecular engineering often exhibits similar regulation trends for the two processes.Here,we propose that the quantum interference caused by aggregation can be utilized to control the phosphorescent and non-radiative decay channels.We systematically analyze various constructive and destructive transition pathways in aggregates with different molecular packing types and establish clear relationships between the luminescence characters and the signs of the singlet and triplet excitonic couplings.It is shown that the decay channels can be flexibly switched on or off by regulating the packing type and excitonic couplings.Most importantly,an enhanced phosphorescent decay and a completely suppressed non-radiative decay can be simultaneously realized in the aggregate packed with inversion symmetry.This work lays the theoretical foundation for future experimental realization of quantum interference effects in phosphorescence.

Millimeter wave(mmWave)massive massive multiple input multiple output(MIMO)technique has been regarded as the viable solution for vehicular communications in 5G and beyond.To achieve the substantial increase in date rates,it is important to take an effective channel state information(CSI).However,existing channel estimation strategies are unavailable since the users high-mobility.To solve above issues,in this paper,inspired by a specific antenna structure,we propose a novel approach for fast time-varying channel estimation.Specifically,by considering the vehicle scenario with high-mobility,a corresponding mathematical model is firstly established.Then,based on the special structural of the sparse array,the switch network is used to replace the convention phase shifter of mmWave hybrid system,which can effectively reduce the number of radio-frequency(RF)chains and antennas.Furthermore,by solving the semidefinite programming(SDP)duality problem,the Doppler frequency and path parameters are effectively estimated.Simulation results are shown that the computational complexity and estimation accuracy of the proposed algorithm is superior than that of the traditional schemes.

Facile and ecofriendly loading of micro/nano function-specific substances to create functional materials is a trend being pursued by researchers.However,current micro/nano particles loading approaches are often hindered by issues such as uneven distribution,unsatisfactory stability and complicate procedure.In this work,we present an aqueous phase reshaping method that only utilizes the moisture to fabricate the"bubble particles",which could perfectly cater to the topography of the substrate.The green preparation of bubble particles adopts an absolutely zero-pollution method,realizing the firm loading of particles on the substrate.Integrating the preparation and loading of particles overcomes the traditional complicate process,while the aqueous phase reshaping ensures uniform and firm loading of the"bubble particles"onto the substrate.Our mechanism demonstrates a significant enhancement in the interface relation after aqueous phase reshaping,with a 121-fold increase in contact surface area achieved by reducing the height by 1μm.Furthermore,we explore for the first time the influence of the nature of the receiving substrate on the interface morphology of particles during electrostatic spraying,which has important guiding significance for the interface relationship of electrostatic spraying and even electrostatic spinning materials.We also screen out the natural antibacterial essential oil linalool as the effective specialized antibacterial agent,which can specifically inhibit the odor-producing Proteus in urine,with an antibacterial rate of up to 100%.Taken together,this simple,ecofriendly method for fabricating functional materials with optimal interface stability appears highly promising for use in various products formed by electrostatic spraying/spinning.

Characterization of sulfide oxidation and optimization of sulfate production by a thermophilic Paenibacillus naphthalenovorans LYH-3 isolated from sewage sludge composting

The sulfur-containing odor emitted from sludge composting could be controlled by sulfide oxidizing bacteria, yet mesophilic strains show inactivation during the thermophilic stage of composting. Aimed to investigate and characterize the thermotolerant bacterium that could oxidize sulfide into sulfate, a heterotrophic strain was isolated from sewage sludge composting and identified as Paenibacillus naphthalenovorans LYH-3. The effects of various environmental factors on sulfide oxidation capacities were studied to optimize the sulfate production, and the highest production rate (27.35%±0.86%) was obtained at pH 7.34, the rotation speed of 161.14 r/min, and the inoculation amount of 5.83%by employing BoxBehnken design. The results of serial sulfide substrates experiments indicated that strain LYH-3 could survive up to 400 mg/L of sulfide with the highest sulfide removal rate (88.79%±0.35%) obtained at 50 mg/L of sulfide. Growth kinetic analysis presented the maximum specific growth rateμm(0.5274 hr-1) after 22 hr cultivation at 50℃. The highest enzyme activities of sulfide quinone oxidoreductase (0.369±0.052 U/mg) and sulfur dioxygenase (0.255±0.014 U/mg) were both obtained at 40℃, and the highest enzyme activity of sulfite acceptor oxidoreductase (1.302±0.035 U/mg) was assessed at 50℃. The results indicated that P. naphthalenovorans possessed a rapid growth rate and efficient sulfide oxidation capacities under thermophilic conditions, promising a potential application in controlling sulfur-containing odors during the thermophilic stage of sludge composting.

Public Emotional Diffusion over COVID-19 Related Tweets Posted by Major Public Health Agencies in the United States

Since the end of 2019,the COVID-19 outbreak worldwide has not only presented challenges for government agencies in addressing public health emergency,but also tested their capacity in dealing with public opinion on social media and responding to social emergencies.To understand the impact of COVID-19 related tweets posted by the major public health agencies in the United States on public emotion,this paper studied public emotional diffusion in the tweets network,including its process and characteristics,by taking Twitter users of four official public health systems in the United States as an example.We extracted the interactions between tweets in the COVID-19-Tweet Ids data set and drew the tweets diffusion network.We proposed a method to measure the characteristics of the emotional diffusion network,with which we analyzed the changes of the public emotional intensity and the proportion of emotional polarity,investigated the emotional influence of key nodes and users,and the emotional diffusion of tweets at different tweeting time,tweet topics and the tweet posting agencies.The results show that the emotional polarity of tweets has changed from negative to positive with the improvement of pandemic management measures.The public’s emotional polarity on pandemic related topics tends to be negative,and the emotional intensity of management measures such as pandemic medical services turn from positive to negative to the greatest extent,while the emotional intensity of pandemic related knowledge changes the most.The tweets posted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration of the United States have a broad impact on public emotions,and the emotional spread of tweets’polarity eventually forms a very close proportion of opposite emotions.
