Softening is one of the key fruit quality traits,which results from the selective expression of cell wall metabolism genes during *** identification of transcription factors(TFs)that regulate fruit softening is an important field in order to understand and control fruit *** tomato,NAC(NAM,ATAF,and CUC)TFs members have been demonstrated to be involved in fruit ripening regulation,including NAC-NOR(nonripening),NOR-like1,SlNAC4,***,we generated slnac4 mutant knockout(CR-SlNAC4)tomato plant by a clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats genomic targeting system(CRISPR/Cas9)and SlNAC4 overexpressing(OE-SlNAC4)*** addition to confirming the previously reported results that SlNAC4 positively regulates fruit ripening,we found that SlNAC4 has a strong effect on tomato fruit *** with the control fruit,fruit softening was inhibited in slnac4 fruit and conversely was accelerated in OE-SlNAC4 tomato *** RNA-sequencing(RNA-seq)analysis,we found that expression levels of SlEXP1(expansin)and SlCEL2(endo-β-1,4 glucanase)genes involved in cell wall metabolism were significantly different in WT(wild type)/slnac4 and WT/OE-SlNAC4 *** study showed that these genes contained a NAC TF binding domain in their promoter *** vitro electrophoretic mobility shift assays(EMSA)and dual-luciferase reporter assays(DLR)demonstrated that these two genes were the direct targets of SlNAC4 binding and *** results enriched the function of SlNAC4 and provided a new dimension in understanding the regulation of tomato fruit softening.

Endovascular recanalization of superior vena cava, brachiocephalic, and subclavian venous occlusions caused by nonmalignant lesions

Background Endovascular recanalization （EVR） is becoming the primary therapy for patients with central venous （brachiocephalic, subclavian, and superior vena cava） occlusion （CVO） caused by benign etiology. In this study, we retrospectively analyzed our experience in using EVR to treat benign CVO in 10 patients between April 2005 and September 2010. Methods The mean age of the patients was 65.3 years, 2/10 cases were female, and the origin of cause of CVO in 7/10 cases was the hemodialysis access in the upper extremity. The patients were treated with primary stent placement and evaluated with immediate technical success rate and post-interventional patency rate after the procedure. Results Eight patients were treated successfully with stent placement and experienced symptomatic relief immediately. No technical complications were observed during EVR treatment. Patients were followed up by ultrasonography and venography. Median follow-up was 13 months. Three patients required secondary procedures to maintain patency. Conclusions EVR is an effective and safe treatment in patients with benign CVO. It provides immediate symptom relief and maintains a continuous access for hemodialysis.

Molecular dynamics simulations of helium transport through inorganic mineral nanopores

Helium transport through nanoscale inorganic mineral pores and pore throats is essential for its overall *** elucidate helium's transport dynamics within nanopores,we employed equilibrium and non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations to investigate helium's static self-diffusion and pressure-driven flow in quartz slit-shaped *** also introduced water and various gases,including hydrogen,methane,ethane,nitrogen,and carbon dioxide,into the nanopores to assess their influence on helium *** findings indicate minimal helium adsorption on quartz pore *** conditions where the pore size is less than 5 nm and the pressure under 10 MPa,environmental factors markedly influence helium *** pore sizes,high temperatures,and low gas pressures enhance helium desorption and facilitate faster *** observed a positive correlation between helium flow velocity and factors such as pore size,pressure gradient,and surface smoothness of the ***,the presence of pore water and carrier gases in quartz nanopores,which diffuse more slowly than helium,tends to reduce helium surface adsorption and slow its *** the carrier gases studied,nitrogen showed similar adsorption capacity,diffusivity,and stability to helium,while carbon dioxide displayed the highest adsorption capacity and the slowest diffusion rate,markedly differing from *** on the simulation results,we concluded that water and carrier gases primarily function as transport mediums in helium migration,moving together with ***,which shares similar properties with helium,effectively assists in this co-migration ***,carbon dioxide,due to its high adsorption capacity and slow diffusion,tends to be lost during *** a result,gas reservoirs with high nitrogen levels and low carbon dioxide levels are more likely to have higher helium ***,the smaller pore sizes and higher gas pressures in caproc

Effects of recombinant human growth hormone on growth of human gastric carcinoma xenograft model in nude mice

AIM： To study effects of recombinant human growth hormone （rhGH） on growth of a human gastric carcinoma cell in vivo. METHODS： Experimental mice were divided into control group, rhGH group, oxaliplatin （L-OHP） group and rhGH＋L-OHP group. Cultured human gastric carcinoma cells BGC823 were inoculated into right axilla of nude mice and carcinoma xenograft model was established successfully. Inhibitory rate of xenograft tumor growth was estimated by measuring tumor volume; expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen （PCNA）, Bax and Bcl-2 proteins of xenograft tumor was detected using immunohistochemical S-P method. RESULTS： Tumor growth inhibitory rate, the positive expression rate of PCNA, Bax and Bcl-2 were 49.3%, 58.2%, 65.2% and 59.2% in rhGH＋L-OHP group respectively; 46.6%, 62.5%, 59.7% and 64.7% in L-OHP group; 5.0%, 82.7%, 23.2% and 82.2% in rhGH group and 0, 77.8%, 23.5% and 80.3% in control group. There was significant difference between rhGH＋L-OHP group （or L-OHP group ） and control group or rhGH group （P 〈 0.05）, whereas there were no significant differences （P 〉 0.05） between L-OHP group and rhGH＋L-OHP group and between rhGH group and control group. CONCLUSION： rhGH does not accelerate the proliferation of human gastric cancer cell in vivo.

Helicobacter pylori infection and esophageal cancer risk:An updated meta-analysis

AIM:To clarify the association between Helicobacter pylori(***)infection and the risk of esophageal carcinoma through a meta-analysis of published ***:Studies which reported the association between *** infection and esophageal cancer published up to June 2013 were *** odds ratios(ORs)and corresponding 95%CIs of *** on esophageal cancer with respect to health control groups were *** were extracted independently by two investigators and discrepancies were resolved by discussion with a third *** statistical software,STATA(version 12.0),was applied to investigate heterogeneity among individual studies and to summarize the studies.A meta-analysis was performed using a fixed-effect or random-effect method,depending on the absence or presence of significant ***:No significant association between *** infection and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)risk was found in the pooled overall population(OR=0.97,95%CI:0.76-1.24).However,significant associations between *** infection and ESCC risk were found in Eastern subjects(OR=0.66,95%CI:0.43-0.89).Similarly,cytotoxin-associated gene-A(CagA)positive strains of infection may decrease the risk of ESCC in Eastern subjects(OR=0.77,95%CI:0.65-0.92),however,these associations were not statistically significant in Western subjects(OR=1.26,95%CI:0.97-1.63).For esophageal adenocarcinoma(EAC)the summary OR for *** infection and CagA positive strains of infection were 0.59(95%CI:0.51-0.68)and 0.56(95%CI:0.45-0.70),***:*** infection is associated with a decreased risk of ESCC in Eastern populations and a decreased risk of EAC in the overall population.

Underground water biological field＇s variation and geoenvironmental safety in city

In the process of city construction, as a comprised factor of city geological environment, underground water takes the most active part, and its dynamic change is fiercest. The city construction unceasingly disturbs underground water chemical, dynamical, physical and biological field. In return, the four fields＇ changes also can affect the geological environment that city lived by, in other words they affect safety and stability of geological environment. Interaction of underground water and the geoenvironment directly displays in the following two ways： The first is that the underground water and the geological body transfer the energy each other; the second is that the strength balance of geological body is broken. Underground water variation brought about by city construction is the factor which cannot be neglected. Underground water variation on the one hand changes soils or rocks＇ physical, biological, chemical and mechanical properties, then influences the deformation and strength of geological body. On the other hand it changes its own physical, chemical properties and biochemical component. At present, from mechanics aspect, interaction between chemical field and biological field variation of the underground water and the geological body lacks research. Although interaction between them is long-term, slow, but when it compared with water-soil or water-rock interaction in the entire process of formation of rocks or soils or geologic evolution history, the qualitative change of the biological and chemical action of rocks or soils brought about by city construction is remarkable, in this paper, aiming at underground water biological field factor which is easily neglected by people, it analyzes that underground water biological field affects possible mechanism and approach of properties variation of rocks or soils in city construction, brings forward further research method and development direction have been also proposed.

COMPrompter: reconceptualized segment anything model with multiprompt network for camouflaged object detection

We rethink the segment anything model(SAM) and propose a novel multiprompt network called COMPrompter for camouflaged object detection(COD). SAM has zero-shot generalization ability beyond other models and can provide an ideal framework for COD. Our network aims to enhance the single prompt strategy in SAM to a multiprompt strategy. To achieve this, we propose an edge gradient extraction module, which generates a mask containing gradient information regarding the boundaries of camouflaged objects. This gradient mask is then used as a novel boundary prompt, enhancing the segmentation process. Thereafter, we design a box-boundary mutual guidance module, which fosters more precise and comprehensive feature extraction via mutual guidance between a boundary prompt and a box prompt. This collaboration enhances the model's ability to accurately detect camouflaged objects. Moreover, we employ the discrete wavelet transform to extract high-frequency features from image embeddings. The high-frequency features serve as a supplementary component to the multiprompt ***, our COMPrompter guides the network to achieve enhanced segmentation results, thereby advancing the development of SAM in terms of COD. Experimental results across COD benchmarks demonstrate that COMPrompter achieves a cutting-edge performance, surpassing the current leading model by an average positive metric of 2.2% in COD10K. In the specific application of COD, the experimental results in polyp segmentation show that our model is superior to top-tier methods as well.
