Although ammonium dinitramide(ADN)has been targeted as a potential green monopropellant in future space vehicles,its application potential in Micro-electrical–Mechanical System(MEMS)thrusters or microthrusters has been seldom reported in open *** this paper,electrolytic decomposition of Ammonium Dinitramide(ADN)-based liquid monopropellant FLP-103 was carried out in an open chamber and MEMS thrusters were fabricated from poly-dimethylsiloxane(PDMS)to characterize the power *** thrust measurement methods were employed to investigate the electrolytic decomposition of FLP-103 in MEMS *** results show that the monopropellant can be successfully ignited at room temperature through 80 V,0.1 A(8 W)using copper wire as *** the current thruster design,low thrust was obtained at FLP-103 flowrate of 40μl·min^(-1)but it generated the highest specific impulse,Isp,among all the flowrates *** experiments successfully demonstrated the potential application of electrolytic decomposition of FLP-103 in MEMS thrusters.

Background Nasopharyngeal carcinoma （NPC） patients have a 19%-56% locoregional recurrence rate after primary *** those recurrent NPC （rNPC） patients,re-irradiation may cause some *** recent years,endoscopic endonasal nasopharyngectomy （EEN） has become a surgical option for rNPC *** we introduce the concept of en bloc excision （EBE） technique for EEN,including the surgical technique and clinical *** A retrospective study was conducted covering September 2009 to May 2013,involving the collection of Iocoregional rNPC cases from two institutions （Kuang-Tien General Hospital （KTGH） in Taiwan and National University Health System （NUHS） in Singapore）.These patients failed prior therapy and then underwent *** reported the 2-year overall survival rate,the 2-year disease-free survival rate,and related *** Nine patients （five from KTGH and four from NUHS） completed this study,with five,two,and two patients of recurrence tumors （rT1）,rT2,and rT3,*** mean age was 46.4 years （range 32-63）; the mean follow-up period was 24.9 months （range 10-45）.The 2-year survival rate and the 2-year disease-free rate were 100% and 80%,respectively,in five *** significant complications or cases of mortality *** The EBE concept of EEN is suitable for early rT1 and has relatively encouraging short-term *** selected rT2,careful EBE can be performed by expanding the surgical field.A clear view of the internal carotid arteryrelated anatomy is *** the future,more series may be needed to determine the role of EEN in rNPC patients.

Predicting factors contributing to knowledge, attitudes and practices relating to Zika virus infection among the general public in Malaysia

Objective: To identify the predicting factors that contribute to knowledge, attitude and practices relating to Zika virus infection among the general public in ***: A cross-sectional study was conducted using a validated self-administered questionnaire. Descriptive analysis was done for participants’ socio-demographic profile. Contingency table analysis was done to analyse the associations between knowledge, attitudes, and practices(KAP) scores and socio-demographic profile. A Bonferroni-corrected P-value was used to find the significance of the associations and multiple comparisons were performed in a single data set. To determine the linear relationship between each independent variable and the dependent variable, Spearman rank correlation was performed. Cohen’s correlation coefficient was evaluated to determine the strength of the effect size. Multiple correlations and regression analyses were performed to identify independent variables that predicts the dependent ***: Multiple correlation analyses were conducted between respondents’ KAP score and independent variables(Age >60 years;Female gender;Selangor state;At least 1 pregnant woman per household). The independent variables such as ‘Female gender’, ‘Selangor state’ and ‘At least 1 pregnant woman per household’ were positively and significantly correlated with KAP score whereas, age >60 years was negatively and significantly correlated with the KAP ***: There were associations between four independent factors and the KAP scores, while only three factors contributed to changes in KAP scores among the public. Among these contributing factors, respondents’ age group was the strongest predictor.

在PubChem数据库中查找绿茶提取物茶多酚(EGCG)活性靶蛋白,从Gene数据库中查找乳腺癌相关基因,运用Ingenuity Pathway Analysis(IPA)软件,构建二者信号通路和分子网络并进行分析.结果显示:二者共同作用的通路有235条,排在前面的主要是癌症分子机制通路、炎症反应通路、糖皮质激素受体信号通路、NF-κB信号通路;共同的分子网络有5个,也主要体现在"转录后修饰与调控,细胞生长、发育,DNA的复制、重组、修复,细胞死亡与生存"等生物学功能上.

Selective hydrogenation improves interface properties of high-k dielectrics on 2D semiconductors

The integration of high-k dielectrics with two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors is a critical step towards high-performance nanoelectronics,which however remains challenging due to the high density of interface states and the damage to the monolayer 2D *** this study,we propose a selective hydrogenation strategy to improve the interface properties while the 2D semiconductors are not *** the interface of monolayer molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))and silicon nitride as an example,we show substantially improved interface properties for electronic applications after the interfacial hydrogenation,as evidenced by reduced inhomogeneous charge redistribution,increased band offset,and nearly intact electronic properties of MoS_(2).Importantly,this hydrogenation process selectively occurs only at the silicon nitride surface and is compatible with the current semiconductor fabrication *** further show that this strategy is general and applicable to other interfaces between high-k dielectrics and 2D semiconductors such as hafnium dioxide(HfO_(2))on the monolayer MoS_(2).Our results demonstrate a simple yet viable way to improve the integration of high-k dielectrics on a broad range of 2D transition metal disulfide semiconductors,shedding light on practical electronic and optoelectronic applications.

The increasing prominence of nanotechnology on the global economy has seen the increased production of new nanoparticles(NPs) [1]. This raised the need to address the safety of NPs on humans. However, the increasing large number of NPs required for testing has led to the need for new alternative testing strategies using computational screening to replace the costly and laborious animal testing. Yet, such testing requires the understanding and identification of relevant safety biological endpoints to work. Human embryonic stem cells(hESCs), with the ability to differentiate to any cell types, provide a unique system to assess cellular, developmental, and functional toxicity in vitro within a single system highly relevant to human physiology. We investigated the protein profile changes of hESCs upon exposure to titanium dioxide NPs(TiO2 NPs) with iTRAQTM quantitative proteomics analysis [2]. The protein changes revealed that TiO2 NPs can induce DNA damage, elevated oxidative stress, apoptotic responses, and cellular differentiation. Our in vivo analysis demonstrated remarkable reduction in the ability of hESCs in teratoma formation after TiO2 NPs exposure, suggesting impaired pluripotency. We also found that TiO2 NPs can disrupt hESC mesoderm differentiation into cardiomyocytes. Our study unveiled comprehensive changes in the molecular landscape of hESCs upon exposure to TiO2 NPs and identified the impact of TiO2 NPs on the pluripotency and differentiation properties of human stem cells.

Choledochal cysts are congenital anomalies of the biliary ducts, characterized by cystic dilatation of the *** diagnosis of this anomaly using ultrasonography (US) has been well documented. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has recently become an important complement to US in prenatal diagnosis of fetal anomalies. We herein report a patient in whom at 24 wk' gestation US suggested a right upper quadrant abdominal cyst and in whom at 26 wk' gestation MRI more clearly delineated the cyst and its surrounding structures and suggested a choledochal cyst, which was confirmed at postnatal surgery and histopathology.

目的:通过生物信息学方法分析绿茶提取物茶多酚—表没食子儿茶素没食子酸酯(EGCG)治疗卵巢癌的分子机制。方法:在PubChem数据库中查找EGCG活性靶蛋白,在Gene数据库中查找卵巢癌相关基因,运用Ingenuity Pathway Analysis(IPA)软件,构建二者的信号通路和分子网络并进行分析。结果:二者共同作用的通路有232条,排在前面的主要是癌症分子机制通路、炎症反应通路、细胞因子信号通路;共同的分子网络有6个,也主要体现在"细胞死亡与生存,细胞生长、增殖,细胞发育,DNA的复制、重组、修复,转录后修饰与调控,蛋白质合成"等生物学功能上。预测EGCG作用于卵巢癌的靶点主要为Jun、FADD、NF-κB、BCL2、HIF1α和MMP。结论:EGCG可通过干预卵巢癌相关癌症分子信号通路上多个靶点发挥治疗卵巢癌的作用。
