Predictions of the strength of solar cycles are important and are necessary for planning long-term missions.A new solar cycle 25 is coming soon,and the amplitude is needed for space weather *** predictions have been made using different methods and the values are drastically ***,since 2015 July 1,the original sunspot number data have been entirely replaced by the Version 2.0 data series,and the sunspot number values have changed *** this paper,using Version 2 smoothed sunspot numbers and aa indices,we verify the predictions for cycles 18-24 based on Ohl’s Precursor *** a similar-cycles method is used to evaluate the aa minimum of 9.7(±1.1)near the start of cycle 25 and based on the linear regression relationship between sunspot maxima and aa minima,our predicted Version 2maximum sunspot number for cycle 25 is 121.5(±32.9).

The performance of a soil-pile system can be significantly influenced by ground motion parameters. However, few research efforts have been performed to provide a complete description of the influence of key ground motion parameters on the pile’s behavior in liquefiable soil. In this study, a three-dimensional finite element（FE） model, incorporating a multisurface plasticity solid-fluid fully coupled formulation soil constitutive model, is developed and calibrated based on centrifuge test data. Seventy-two near-fault non-pulse-like（NF-NP） and seventy-two near-fault pulse-like（NF-P） ground motion records are studied with the calibrated FE model to distinguish the effects of several common ground motion parameters soon afterwards. Base on the parametric study results, a simple index, RPGV/PGA（i.e., the ratio of peak ground velocity（PGV） to peak ground acceleration（PGA））, shows its capability on characterizing the pile behavior under both NF-NP and NF-P ground motions. Furthermore, two equations are developed to characterize the relationships between the RPGV/PGA as well as the maximum pile’s moments and displacements. In general, this study can be helpful to gain new insights on the influence of typical index parameters for near-field ground motions on the response of the pile foundation in liquefiable soil.

Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus （CaLas）, an uncultured Gram-negative alphaproteobacterium, is the causal agent of Huanglongbing （HLB） in citrus. CaLas resides in phloem sieve tubes and has been shown to be unequally distributed in different tissues. Although HLB is a disease of citrus plants, it has been demonstrated that periwinkle can serve as an experimental host of CaLas, which can be transmitted from citrus to periwinkle via the parasitic plant dodder （Cuscuta spp.）. To investigate the distribution of CaLas in various periwinkle tissues, the bacteria were transmitted from an infected periwinkle plant to healthy periwinkles by top-grafting. The movement of the inoculum and associated titer changes were observed over time in various tissues. CaLas could be detected in the leaves, main stems, and roots of infected periwinkle by conventional PCR, and in all three tissues a clear time-dependent change in CaLas titer was observed, with titer increasing soon after inoculation and then decreasing as disease symptoms became severe. The highest titer was found at 25, 35 and 35 days after inoculation in leaves, main stems and roots, respectively. The titer in leaves was much higher than in the main stems and roots at the same time point, and the spatial distribution of CaLas in the leaves, main stems and roots of infected periwinkle was uneven, similar to what has been shown in citrus. The results provide guidance for selecting the proper periwinkle tissues and sampling times for early detection of CaLas.

AIM: Fatty acid-CoA ligase 4 (FACL4) is an arachidonatepreferring enzyme which has been shown to be up-regulated in human colon cancer tissues and implicated in the colon tumorigenesis. The purpose of this study was to investigatethe role of FACL4 in the human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tumorigenesis and the specific signal pathways involved in this ***: We investigated the expression and regulation of FACL4 in HCC, adjacent non-tumorous liver tissues, and cell ***: In HCC patients, we demonstrated that FACL4 gene expression was markedly elevated in the cancerous tissues than in the adjacent non-cancerous liver *** addition, several human hepatoma cell lines, including Hep3B and HepG2, expressed high levels of FACL4. Stable overex-pression of FACL4 knockdown plasmids (small interfering RNA, siRNA) to Hep3B cells significantly decreased FACL4 expression and subsequently limited the cell proliferation. Treatment of Hep3B cells with 8bromo-cAMP and SB203508 (p38 MAPK inhibitor) significantly suppressed the FACL4 expression. CONCLUSION: FACL4 is involved in the HCC tumorigenesis and both cAMP and p38 MAPK pathways are associated with the regulation of FACL4 in HCC.

利用浑善达克沙地地区2004年春季沙尘暴和微气象学加强观测实验资料,计算了浑善达克沙地地区不同沙尘天气条件下湍流交换系数、湍流动量通量和感热通量、沙尘浓度通量;研究了沙尘暴过程中湍流作用、沙尘输送特征及起沙条件。结果显示:浑善达克沙地地区非沙尘天气白天近地层热力湍流作用强于动力湍流,湍流交换以感热交换为主;沙尘天气过程中,近地面层湍流动力作用明显增加,湍流动量和感热交换都对湍流输送有主要贡献,感热通量数值有不同程度的降低。较强沙尘暴天气过程中动力湍流强于热力湍流。随着沙尘天气经历起沙、平衡、沉降的演变过程,沙尘通量数值呈现由正值为主,过渡到向上和向下数值相当、向下数值比例增加。非沙尘天气、扬沙天气和沙尘暴天气过程的沙尘通量值范围分别是±5μg/(m2.s)、±30μg/(m2.s)和-200—300μg/(m2.s)之间。浑善达克沙地地区,非沙尘天气也存在一定量的沙尘输送,但数值较小。浑善达克沙地地区沙尘通量与摩擦速度的三次方成正比,为F=Cu3*。临界起沙风速和临界摩擦速度分别约为6m/s和0.4m/s。

铜引线键合由于在价格、电导率和热导率等方面的优势有望取代传统的金引线键合,然而Cu/Al引线键合界面的金属间化合物(intermetallic compounds,IMC)的过量生长将增大接触电阻和降低键合强度,从而影响器件的性能和可靠性.针对以上问题,本文基于原位高分辨透射电子显微镜技术,研究了在50—220?C退火温度下,Cu/Al引线键合界面IMC的生长问题,实时观测到了Cu/Al IMC的动态生长及结构演变过程.实验结果表明,退火前颗粒状的Cu/Al IMC分布在键合界面,主要成分为Cu9Al4,少量成分为Cu Al2.退火后Cu/Al IMC的成分是:靠近Cu一端为Cu9Al4,远离Cu的一端为Cu Al2.同时基于原位观测Cu/Al IMC的动态生长过程,计算得到了Cu/Al IMC不同温度下的反应速率和激活能,给出了基于原位实验结果的Cu/Al IMC的生长公式,为优化Cu/Al引线键合工艺和提高Cu/Al引线键合的可靠性提供了指导.
