The development of a distributed trajectory-tracking control strategy that is independent of velocity measurements is critical to achieving finite-time tracking control of autonomous underwater vehicle(AUV) systems. In this study, a group of heterogeneous AUV systems with intermittent communication links is considered and a finite-time trajectory-tracking control strategy is developed. The strategy includes two observers and one controller proposed for each follower-AUV. The first observer, a hybrid finite-time observer,estimates the state of the leader, whereas the second observer, which relies only on the position measurement,is proposed to estimate the states of the follower-AUV itself. In addition, a distributed trajectory-tracking controller is designed using the states estimated by the intermittent communication network even without velocity measurements. A homogeneous technique is utilized to prove that all followers can track the leader in a finite time. Finally, the effectiveness of the developed finite-time tracking control strategy is illustrated by numerical simulations.

为提升压缩空气储能技术的能量利用率与供能灵活性,基于能量梯级利用原理,提出了一种耦合压缩空气储能与增强型地热技术的冷热电联产系统。通过建立系统的热力学模型,研究了关键运行参数对系统热力学性能的影响规律,并以系统(火用)效率和单位能量成本为目标函数,获得了系统的多目标优化解集。结果表明,膨胀机与换热器是系统高效运行的关键设备,提升这2个设备的运行效率对于系统热力学性能以及输出功量的提升作用显著,采用多目标优化方法得到系统的最优(火用)效率为55.73%,最优单位能量成本为6378.94元/kW,能量效率和相对节能率较设计工况分别提升了6.1%和10.68%。研究结果从热力学和经济学角度为系统的工程应用提供了理论依据。

In applications such as marine rescue,marine science,archaeology,and offshore industries,autonomous underwater vehicles(AUVs)are frequently used for survey missions and monitoring tasks,with most operations being performed by manned submersibles or remotely operated vehicles(ROVs)equipped with robotic arms,as they can be operated remotely for days without ***,they require expensive marine vessels and specialist pilots to operate *** exploring oceans are no longer satisfied with the use of manned submersibles and *** is a growing desire for seabed exploration to be performed using smarter,more flexible,and automated *** improving the field operation and intervention capability of AUVs,large-scale and long-range seafloor exploration and sampling can be performed without the support of a mother ship,making it a more effective,economical,convenient,and rapid means of seafloor exploration and sampling operations,and playing a critical role in marine resource *** this study,we explored the integration technology of underwater electric robotic arms and AUVs and designed a new set of electric manipulators suitable for water depths greater than 500 *** reliability of the key components was analyzed by finite element analysis and,based on the theory of robot kinematics and dynamics,simulations were performed to verify the reliability of the key *** were conducted on land and underwater,trajectory tracking experiments were completed,and the experimental data in air and water were compared and ***,the objectives for further research on the autonomous control of the manipulator underwater were proposed.

Despite increased attention given to potential modifiers of temperature-mortality associations, evidence for variations between different urban landscape characteristics remains limited. It is in this context that in this paper effect modifications of multiple urban landscape characteristics are explored under different heatwave definitions for different age groups and gender in Hong Kong, China. Daily meteorological data and heatwave-related mortality counts from 2008 to 2017 were collected from the Hong Kong Census and Statistics Department, China. A case-only design was adopted, combined with logistic regression models to examine the modification effects of five urban landscape characteristics under six heatwave definitions. Stratified analyses were conducted to investigate age- and gender-specific effect modifications. It is found that individuals living in greener areas experienced lower levels of mortality during or immediately after heatwaves. In contrast, a higher building density and nighttime land surface temperature (LST) were associated with a higher heatwave-related mortality risk. Pronounced effect modifications of these urban landscape characteristics were observed under hotter and longer heatwaves, and in older adults (age ≥ 65 years) and males. The findings provide a scientific basis for policymakers and practitioners when considering measures for coping with hotter, longer, and more frequent heatwaves in the context of global climate change.

Two-dimensional transition metal chalcogenides(2D-TMDs)have attracted much attention because of their unique layered structure and physical properties for transistor *** transferred metal contacts on these low-dimensional materials or their homogeneous and heterogeneous multilayers have generated huge interest to avoid deposition *** this paper,we show that there are large physical gaps at both the edge contact and surface contact between the transferred electrodes and the 2D materials.A method called laser shock induced superplastic deformation(LSISD)is proposed to tackle this issue and enhance the performance of the *** enhancement mechanism was investigated by molecular dynamics(MD)simulations of the nanoforming process,atomic force microscopy(AFM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM)characterizations of the interfaces,and density functional theory(DFT)*** force effect of laser shock can reduce the contact gap between metals and *** electrical performances of the transistors before and after LSISD,along with MD simulations,are used to find the optimal process *** addition,this paper applies the LSISD method to the short-channel MoS_(2)/graphene vertical transistors to show potential improvement in interface contact and electrical *** paper demonstrates the first report on using mechanical force induced by laser shock to enhance metal–semiconductor interfaces and transistor performances.

High catalytic performance of neodymium modified Co_(3)O_(4) for toluene oxidation

Co-based catalysts are the most promising catalysts in catalytic oxidation of volatile organic compounds(VOCs).Precious metal doping is adopted to improve the catalytic activity of toluene on Co_(3)O_(4) catalysts,but greatly increases its cost along with *** is found that doping a small amount of rare earth(Ce,Pr,Sm and Nd)can dramatically promote the catalytic activity of Co_(3)O_(4).Especially,the Nd-doped Co_(3)O_(4) catalyst exhibits excellent catalytic activity with a toluene removal rate of 90% at 162.1℃,which is even better than that of Pt-doped Co_(3)O_(4).Compared with other rare earth metal doping,the Nd doping leads to a higher ratio of Co^(3+)/Co^(2+) and has more oxygen *** in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(DRIFTS)experiments show that the lattice oxygen of Nd-Co sample can be utilized at a quite low temperature,while that of pure Co_(3)O_(4) cannot engage in oxidation reaction when the temperature is below 200℃,which visually demonstrates the main reason for the improved catalytic performance of Nd-Co catalyst.

It is discovered that the product of the current and the electric field in a PN junction should be regarded as the rate of work(power)done by the electric field force on moving charges(hole current and electron current),which was previously misinterpreted as solely a Joule heating *** clarify that it is exactly the work done by the electric field force on the moving charges to stimulate the emergence of non-equilibrium carriers,which triggers the novel physical *** regards to Joule heat,we point out that it should be calculated from Ohm’s law,rather than simply from the product of the current and the electric *** on this understanding,we conduct thorough discussion on the role of the electric field force in the process of carrier recombination and carrier *** thermal effects of carrier recombination and carrier generation followed are incorporated into the thermal equation of *** present study shows that the exothermic effect of carrier recombination leads to a temperature rise at the PN interface,while the endothermic effect of carrier generation causes a temperature reduction at the *** two opposite effects cause opposite heat flow directions in the PN junction under forward and backward bias voltages,highlighting the significance of managing device heating phenomena in design ***,this study possesses referential significance for the design and tuning on the performance of piezotronic devices.
