Root-knot nematodes(RKNs;genus Meloidogyne)are a class of plant parasites that infect the roots of many plant *** is believed that RKNs target certain signaling molecules derived from plants to locate their hosts;however,currently,no plant compound has been unambiguously identified as a universal RKN *** address this question,we screened a chemical library of synthetic compounds for Meloidogyne incognita *** breakdown product of aminopropylam ino-anthraquinone,1,3-diam inopropane,as well as its related compounds,putrescine and cadaverine,were found to attract *** exam ining various polyamines,*** were found to be attracted specifically by natural com pounds that possess three to five methylene groups between two terminal amino *** cryo-TO F-SIM S/SEM,cadaverine was indeed detected in soybean root cortex cells and the surrounding rhizosphere,establishing a chemical *** addition to cadaverine,putrescine and 1,3-diam inopropane were also detected in root exudate by HPLC-MS/*** ore,exogenously applied cadaverine is sufficient to enhance *** infection of Arabidopsis *** results suggest that *** is likely attracted by polyam ines to locate the appropriate host plants,and the naturally occurring polyamines have potential applications in agriculture in developing protection strategies for crops from RKN infection.

On base manifolds of Lagrangian fibrations

We consider base spaces of Lagrangian fibrations from singular symplectic varieties. After defining cohomologically irreducible symplectic varieties, we construct an example of Lagrar, gian fibration whose base space is isomorphic to a quotient of the projective space. We also prove that the base space of Lagrangian fibration from a cohomologically symplectic variety is isomorphic to the projective space provided that the base space is smooth.

Practical image fusion method based on spectral mixture analysis

Conventional image fusion algorithm, such as IHS, SVR, PCS, etc., may show some defects in inheriting the higher-spectral information embedded in the original lower-spatial resolution MS image.A fusion method based on spectral mixture analysis(FSMA) was proposed in previous study, which has potential in solving this *** published results are limited to well-behaved simulated data where the endmembers are known a priori and the FSMA method will not work well when applying to real remotely sensed images because the estimated reflectance ranging in panchromatic band derived from MS bands cannot be treated as the real panchromatic *** this paper, an improved image fusion method based on spectral mixture analysis(IFSMA) is proposed, in which the original FSMA method was extended to real remotely sensed images by modifying the objective function of the constrained nonlinear optimization *** was compared with the original FSMA, Zhang’s SVR, PCS and IHS method, and results indicated that the IFSMA method was superior to other methods in preserving the spectral and spatial information.

Fabrication and Properties of SiB6-B4C with Phenolic Resin as a Carbon Source

Si-B-C ceramic composites were synthesized using SiB-6,B-4C,and phenolic resin as a carbon source by pressureless sintering in an Ar ***,the Si-B-C ceramic composites were fabricated to determine their potential for applications as high hardness and high temperature *** X-ray diffraction patterns of sintered bodies of SiB-6-B-4C with carbonized phenolic resin can be seen that SiB-6 and C changed to B-4C and *** this study,it is obtained that carbonized phenolic resin is good addition material as a reaction material comparing to carbon powder at 1683 K for 1 h by pressureless sintering in an Ar atmosphere.

The present work explains the statics of self-weight transmission restricted to a long prismatic heap inclined at an angle of repose and symmetrically formed on a rigid base. The closure of polarized principal axes with the mobilized state of stress along the slope surface is employed by imposing the orientation of principal stresses on the equilibrium equations. Comparisons were made with calculations based on the finite element method using an elastic model. Moreover, experiments on sand heaps deposited on a rectangular rigid base were conducted to validate the theoretical study. The measured pressure profile generally agreed well with theoretical results.

Protocol analysis of designers using an interactive evolutionary computation

This paper explores the problem-solving behavior of people in design activities through a protocol analysis of verbal reports on the interior work design process simulated by an interactive evolutionary computation （IEC）. The protocol analysis method was used to explore the ways of thinking of the participants throughout the process. The analysis reveals that different parts of the interior scene have different effects on the evaluations, and people tend to use the same evaluation criteria continuously on several images. This kind of behavior is consistent with that of professional designers in past studies and is revealed applicable to nonprofessionals in the current research.
