Vertical three-dimensional(3D)integration is a highly attractive strategy to integrate a large number of transistor devices per unit *** approach has emerged to accommodate the higher demand of data processing capability and to circumvent the scaling limitation.A huge number of research efforts have been attempted to demonstrate vertically stacked electronics in the last two *** this review,we revisit materials and devices for the vertically integrated electronics with an emphasis on the emerging semiconductor materials that can be processable by bottom-up fabrication methods,which are suitable for future flexible and wearable *** vertically stacked integrated circuits are reviewed based on the semiconductor materials:organic semiconductors,carbon nanotubes,metal oxide semiconductors,and atomically thin two-dimensional materials including transi-tion metal *** features,device performance,and fabrication methods for 3D integration of the transistor based on each semiconductor are ***,we highlight recent advances that can be important milestones in the vertically integrated elec-tronics including advanced integrated circuits,sensors,and display *** are remaining challenges to overcome;however,we believe that the vertical 3D integration based on emerging semiconductor materials and devices can be a promising strategy for future electronics.

Link-Privacy Preserving Graph Embedding Data Publication with Adversarial Learning

The inefficient utilization of ubiquitous graph data with combinatorial structures necessitates graph embedding methods,aiming at learning a continuous vector space for the graph,which is amenable to be adopted in traditional machine learning algorithms in favor of vector *** embedding methods build an important bridge between social network analysis and data analytics,as social networks naturally generate an unprecedented volume of graph data *** social network data not only brings benefit for public health,disaster response,commercial promotion,and many other applications,but also gives birth to threats that jeopardize each individual’s privacy and ***,most existing works in publishing social graph embedding data only focus on preserving social graph structure with less attention paid to the privacy issues inherited from social *** be specific,attackers can infer the presence of a sensitive relationship between two individuals by training a predictive model with the exposed social network *** this paper,we propose a novel link-privacy preserved graph embedding framework using adversarial learning,which can reduce adversary’s prediction accuracy on sensitive links,while persevering sufficient non-sensitive information,such as graph topology and node attributes in graph *** experiments are conducted to evaluate the proposed framework using ground truth social network datasets.

The balance between efficient anti-inflammatory treatment and neuronal regeneration in the olfactory epithelium

The sense of smell is important for human quality of life. This sophisticated sensorial system relies on the detection of odorant molecules that engage receptors expressed in the cilia of dedicated neurons that constitute the olfactory epithelium（OE）. Importantly, the OE is a highly active site of adult neurogenesis where short-lived neurons are efficiently replenished, even after massive neuronal cell loss. It is suggested that the degree of olfactory function recovery after OE injury may depend on the nature of the lesion（traumatic, chemical, infectious or inflammatory）, as well on the velocity of cellular regeneration. Topical steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as glucocorticoids, are routinely prescribed for treating upper airway inflammatory conditions, such as chronic rhinosinusitis. While the therapeutic strategy aims to minimize the inflammatory damage and dysfunction to nasal air conduction, new evidences raise concerns if such drugs may impair neuronal regeneration in the OE. In consequence, new directions are necessary in terms of drug development or prescription, in order to preserve olfactory function through lifelong repeated episodes of chronic inflammation in the upper respiratory tract. Here we discuss mechanisms involved in glucocorticoid deleterious effects to OE regeneration and possible therapeutic alternatives considering relevant side effects.

Reliable beacon transmission based MAC protocol for LR-WPANs over WLAN interferences

The use of IEEE 802.15.4 standard based application systems has been rapidly increasing, for example, in medical services, sensor networks, public safety systems, and home automation systems. However, issues arise from the fact that IEEE 802.15.4 standard based low rate wireless personal area networks(LR-WPANs) use the same frequency bands as wireless local area networks(WLANs), and they interfere with each other. Based on past research on this issue, the interference has a more serious impact on LR-WPANs' performance than on WLANs' performance. In this paper we propose a method to improve LR-WPANs' performance while coexisting with WLANs, which is called the reliable beacon transmission based medium access control(MAC) protocol. Since the reliability of a beacon frame is important, in this method, only the beacon frame is transmitted in interference-free channels, and the data packets are transmitted in interfered channels instead of abandoning the channels altogether. This method increases the reliability of beacon frames as well as overall channel utilizations. The effectiveness of the proposed method was evaluated through extensive simulations, and this paper proves that this method improves the performance of IEEE 802.15.4 based wireless sensor networks(WSNs) over WLANs' interferences.

A 360-Degree Panoramic Image Inpainting Network Using a Cube Map

Inpainting has been continuously studied in the field of computer *** artificial intelligence technology developed,deep learning technology was introduced in inpainting research,helping to improve ***,the input target of an inpainting algorithm using deep learning has been studied from a single image to a ***,deep learning-based inpainting technology for panoramic images has not been actively *** propose a 360-degree panoramic image inpainting method using generative adversarial networks(GANs).The proposed network inputs a 360-degree equirectangular format panoramic image converts it into a cube map format,which has relatively little distortion and uses it as a training *** the cube map format is used,the correlation of the six sides of the cube map should be ***,all faces of the cube map are used as input for the whole discriminative network,and each face of the cube map is used as input for the slice discriminative network to determine the authenticity of the generated *** proposed network performed qualitatively better than existing single-image inpainting algorithms and baseline algorithms.

Brazilin and Caesalpinia sappan L. extract protect epidermal keratinocytes from oxidative stress by inducing the expression of GPX7

Caesalpinia sappan L., belonging to the family Leguminosae, is a medicinal plant that is distributed in Southeast Asia. The dried heartwood of this plant is used as a traditional ingredient of food, red dyes, and folk medicines in the treatment of diarrhea, dysentery, tuberculosis, skin infections, and inflammation. Brazilin is the major active compound, which has exhibited various phar- macological effects, including anti-platelet activity, anti-hepatotoxicity, induction of immunological tolerance, and anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. The present study aimed to evaluate the antioxidant activity and expression of antioxidant enzymes of C. sappan L. extract and its major compound, brazilin, in human epidermal keratinocytes exposed to UVA irradiation. Our results indi- cated that C. sappan L. extract reduced UVA-induced H202 production via GPX7 activation. Moreover, brazilin exhibited anfioxidant effects that were similar to those of C. sappan L. via glutathione peroxidase 7 （GPX7）, suggesting that C. sappan L. extract and its natural compound represent potential treatments for oxidative stress-induced photoaging of skin.

Reclosing scheme using synchronism checking for utilization of BESS in distribution system

This paper proposes a reclosing scheme using synchronism checking for utilization of battery energy storage system(BESS) in a distribution system. The algorithm disconnects the faulty phase and keeps the power supply from the BESS to the healthy phase. Synchronism checking between the main source side and the load side is applied to minimize the transients at the reclosing *** BESS at the faulty phase is reconnected after checking the successful reclosing. The distribution system including BESS and proposed reclosing scheme are modeled by the electromagnetic transients program(EMTP)/*** various simulations by varing the fault clearing time are conducted and the simulation results are ***, the relation between proposed reclosing scheme and reliability is discussed.

Diffusion tensor tractography characteristics of axonal injury in concussion/mild traumatic brain injury
