Since reporting cases of breast cancer are on the rise all over the *** in regions such as Pakistan,Saudi Arabia,and the United *** methods for the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer are *** usual diagnosis procedures followed by physicians has been updated with modern diagnostic approaches that include computer-aided support for better *** learning based practices has increased the accuracy and efficiency of medical diagnosis,which has helped save lives of many *** is much research in the field of medical imaging diagnostics that can be applied to the variety of data such as magnetic resonance images(MRIs),mammograms,X-rays,ultrasounds,and histopathological images,but magnetic resonance(MR)and mammogram imaging have proved to present the promising *** proposed paper has presented the results of classification algorithms over Breast Cancer(BC)mammograms from a novel dataset taken from hospitals in the Qassim health cluster of Saudi *** paper has developed a novel approach called the novel spectral extraction algorithm(NSEA)that uses feature extraction and fusion by using local binary pattern(LBP)and bilateral algorithms,as well as a support vector machine(SVM)as a *** NSEA with the SVM classifier demonstrated a promising accuracy of 94%and an elapsed time of 0.68 milliseconds,which were significantly better results than those of comparative experiments from classifiers named Naïve Bayes,logistic regression,K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN),Gaussian Discriminant Analysis(GDA),AdaBoost and Extreme Learning Machine(ELM).ELM produced the comparative accuracy of 94%however has a lower elapsed time of 1.35 as compared to *** has produced a fairly well accuracy of 82%,KNN has a low accuracy of 66%.However Logistic Regression,GDA and Naïve Bayes have produced the lowest accuracies of 47%,43%and 42%.

Breast cancer(BC)is the most common cause of women’s deaths *** mammography technique is the most important modality for the detection of *** detect abnormalities in mammographic images,the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System(BI-RADs)is used as a *** correct allocation of BI-RADs categories for mammographic images is always an interesting task,even for *** this work,to detect and classify the mammogram images in BI-RADs,a novel hybrid model is presented using a convolutional neural network(CNN)with the integration of a support vector machine(SVM).The dataset used in this research was collected from different hospitals in the Qassim health cluster of Saudi *** collection of all categories of BI-RADs is one of the major contributions of this *** significant contribution is the development of a hybrid approach through the integration of CNN and *** proposed hybrid approach uses three CNN models to obtain ensemble CNN model *** ensemble model saves the values to integrate them with *** proposed system achieved a classification accuracy,sensitivity,specificity,precision,and F1-score of 93.6%,94.8%,96.9%,96.6%,and 95.7%,*** proposed model achieved better performance compared to previously available methods.

The numbers of cases and deaths due to the COVID-19 virus have increased daily all around the *** X-ray is considered very useful and less time-consuming for monitoring COVID *** doubt,X-ray is considered as a quick screening method,but due to variations in features of images which are of X-rays category with Corona confirmed cases,the domain expert is *** address this issue,we proposed to utilize deep learning *** this study,the dataset of COVID-19,lung opacity,viral pneumonia,and lastly healthy patients’images of category X-rays are utilized to evaluate the performance of the Swin transformer for predicting the COVID-19 patients *** performance of the Swin transformer is compared with the other seven deep learning models,including ResNet50,DenseNet121,InceptionV3,EfficientNetB2,VGG19,ViT,CaIT,Swim transformer provides 98%recall and 96%accuracy on corona affected images of the X-ray *** proposed approach is also compared with state-of-the-art techniques for COVID-19 diagnosis,and proposed technique is found better in terms of *** system could support clin-icians in screening patients for COVID-19,thus facilitating instantaneous treatment for better effects on the health of COVID-19 ***,this paper can contribute to saving humanity from the adverse effects of trials that the Corona virus might bring by performing an accurate diagnosis over Corona-affected patients.

In this paper,we apply a new modification of the Adomian decomposition method for solving the problem of boundary layer convective heat transfer with viscous dissipation and low pressure gradient over a at *** technique is based on the standard Adomian decomposition method and the Chebyshev pseudospectral *** are made between the pro-posed technique,the standard Adomian decomposition method,and the numerical solutions to demonstrate the applicability,validity,and high accuracy of the present *** results demonstrate that the new modification is more efficient and converges faster than the Adomian decomposition method.

Corrosion Inhibition of X80 Steel in Simulated Marine Environment with Marinobacter aquaeolei

In the present study, a novel bacterium( Marinobacter aquaeolei) was examined for its corrosion inhibiting behaviour against X80 pipeline steel. Electrochemical results showed that X80 steel immersed in the solution inoculated with M. aquaeolei possessed very high corrosion resistance compared to that of abiotic control. Besides, scanning electron microscopy, confocal laser scanning microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy were employed to analyse the corrosion product and the biofi lm formed on the metal surface. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy was also applied to determine the composition of extracellular polymeric substances(EPS). Above results indicated that the corrosion inhibition effciency observed in biotic medium was very high(91%), proving that M. aquaeolei was an effective inhibitive agent for the corrosion of carbon steel. The inhibition was credited to the formation of bacterial biofi lm and the compact protective layer of the secreted EPS. Thus, this study will introduce a natural, environmentally friendly and cost-effective system for the corrosion control of the carbon steel.

This paper presents a novel organization of switch capacitor charge pump circuits based on voltage doubler structures. Each voltage doubler takes a DC input and outputs a doubled DC voltage. By cascading voltage doublers the output voltage increases up to 2 times. A two-phase voltage doubler and a multiphase voltage doubler structures are discussed and design considerations are presented. A simulator working in the Q-V realm was used for simplified circuit level simulation. In order to evaluate the power delivered by a charge pump, a resistive load is attached to the output of the charge pump and an equivalent capacitance is evaluated. To avoid the short circuit during switching, a clock pair generator is used to achieve multi-phase non-overlapping clock pairs. This paper also identifies optimum loading conditions for different configurations of the charge pumps. The proposed charge-pump circuit is designed and simulated by SPICE with TSMC 0.35-μm CMOS technology and operates with a 2.7 to 3.6 V supply voltage. It has an area of 0.4 mm^2; it was designed with a frequency regulation of 1 MHz and internal current mode to reduce power consumption.

Microbiologically influenced corrosion of 304L stainless steel caused by an alga associated bacterium Halomonas titanicae

Algae are reported to be corrosive,while little is known about the role of the algae associated bacteria in the corrosion *** the present study,Halomonas titanicae was isolated from a culture of an alga strain,Spirulina platensis,and identified through 16 S rRNA gene *** behavior of 304L stainless steel(SS)coupons in the presence and absence of *** was characterized by using electrochemical measurements and surface *** results showed that *** significantly accelerated the corrosion rate and decreased the pitting potential of 304L SS in the biotic *** removal of the corrosion products and biofilms,severe pitting corrosion caused by *** was *** largest pit depth after 14 d reached 6.6μm,which was 5.5 times higher than that of the sterile control(1.2μm).This is the first report revealing that an alga associated bacterium can induce microbiologically influenced corrosion(MIC),and a further concern is raised that whether algae play a role in the MIC process.

Assessment of the validity of the clinical pathway for colon endoscopic submucosal dissection

AIM: To determine the effective hospitalization period as the clinical pathway to prepare patients for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). METHODS: This is a retrospective observational study which included 189 patients consecutively treated by ESD at the National Cancer Center Hospital from May 2007 to March 2009. Patients were divided into 2 groups; patients in group A were discharged in 5 d and patients in group B included those who stayed longer than 5 d. The following data were collected for both groups: mean hospitalization period, tumor site, median tumor size, post-ESD rectal bleeding requiring urgent endoscopy, perforation during or after ESD, abdominal pain, fever above 38 ℃, and blood test results positive for inflammatory markers before and after ESD. Each parameter was compared after data collection. RESULTS: A total of 83% (156/189) of all patients could be discharged from the hospital on day 3 postESD. Complications were observed in 12.1% (23/189) of patients. Perforation occurred in 3.7% (7/189) of patients. All the perforations occurred during the ESD procedure and they were managed with endoscopic clipping. The incidence of post-operative bleeding was 2.6% (5/189); all the cases involved rectal bleeding. We divided the subjects into 2 groups: tumor diameter ≥ 4 cm and < 4 cm; there was no significant difference between the 2 groups (P = 0.93, χ 2 test with Yates correction). The incidence of abdominal pain was 3.7% (7/189). All the cases occurred on the day of the procedure or the next day. The median white blood cell count was 6800 ± 2280 (cells/μL; ± SD) for group A, and 7700 ± 2775 (cells/μL; ± SD) for group B, showing a statistically significant difference (P = 0.023, t-test). The mean C-reactive protein values the day after ESD were 0.4 ± 1.3 mg/dL and 0.5 ± 1.3 mg/dL for groups A and B, respectively, with no significant difference between the 2 groups (P = 0.54, t -test). Microbiologically influenced corrosion of titanium caused by aerobic marine bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Microbiologically influenced corrosion(MIC) is a big threat to the strength and safety of many metallic materials used in different environments throughout the world. The metabolites and bioactivity of the microorganisms cause severe deterioration on the metals. In this study, MIC of pure titanium(Ti) was studied in the presence of a highly corrosive aerobic marine bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The results obtained from electrochemical test showed that Ti was corrosion resistant in the abiotic culture medium after 14 d, while the increased corrosion current density(i_(corr)) obtained from polarization curves and the decreased charge transfer resistance(R_(ct)) from electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)indicated the accelerated corrosion of Ti caused by P. aeruginosa biofilm. For further confirmation of the above results, the surface of Ti was investigated using scanning electron microscopy(SEM), confocal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). According to the XPS results, TiO_2 was formed in both abiotic and biotic conditions, while unstable oxide Ti_2O_3 was detected in the presence of P. aeruginosa, leading to the defects in the passive film and localized corrosion. Pitting corrosion was investigated with the help of CLSM, and the largest pit depth found on Ti surface immersed in P. aeruginosa was 1.2 μm. Ti was not immune to MIC caused by P. aeruginosa.
