medical image segmentation has consistently been a significant topic of research and a prominent goal,particularly in computer *** tumor research plays a major role in medical imaging applications by providing a tremendous amount of anatomical and functional knowledge that enhances and allows easy diagnosis and disease therapy *** prevent or minimize manual segmentation error,automated tumor segmentation,and detection became the most demanding process for radiologists and physicians as the tumor often has complex *** methods for detection and segmentation presently exist,but all lack high *** paper’s key contribution focuses on evaluating machine learning techniques that are supposed to reduce the effect of frequently found issues in brain tumor ***,attention concentrated on the challenges related to level set *** study proposed in this paper uses the Population-based Artificial Bee Colony Clustering(P-ABCC)methodology to reliably collect initial contour points,which helps minimize the number of iterations and segmentation errors of the level-set *** proposed model measures cluster centroids(ABC populations)and uses a level-set approach to resolve contour differences as brain tumors vary as they have irregular form,structure,and *** suggested model comprises of three major steps:first,pre-processing to separate the brain from the head and improves contrast ***,P-ABCC is used to obtain tumor edges that are utilized as an initial mRI sequence *** level-set segmentation is then used to detect tumor regions from all volume slices with fewer *** suggest improved model efficiency compared to state-of-the-art methods for both datasets BRATS 2019 and BRATS *** BRATS 2019,dice progress was achieved for Entire Tumor(WT),Tumor Center(TC),and Improved Tumor(ET)by 0.03%,0.03%,and 0.01%*** BRATS 2017,an increase in precision for WT was reac

Dapoxetine is a newer anti-depressant that is used for severe forms of depression via selective serotonin reuptake inhibition *** aimed to evaluate the effect of different doses of dapoxetine lonely or with acetaminophen(AmP).Seven groups of albino rats were used where dapoxetine was administered orally at the doses of 3,5,and 8 mg/kg body weight for a period of 14 days in groups 2,4,and 6,***(67.5 mg/kg body weight)was co-administered with dapoxetine(3,5,and 8 mg/kg body weight)for 14 days in groups 3,5 and 7,*** in mid and high dose plus AmP increased body weight and hematological *** and rearing were declined with mid and high doses of dapoxetine+AmP,contrary to *** was decreased with high doses of dapoxetine+*** dose of dapoxetine+AmP induced lowering of serotonin and dopamine as well as increasing of *** derived neurotrophic factor was decreased in all *** stress biomarkers were augmented with high dose of dapoxetine+*** doses of dapoxetine and/or AmP induced loss of the Purkinje cell layer at *** high dose of dapoxetine+AmP denotes behavioral,histopathological and neurochemical alterations,even though no serotonin syndrome occurs.

Colonoscopy is an integral part of the lower bowel care and is generally considered a potentially safe diagnostic and therapeutic procedure performed as a daycare outpatient *** is associated with different complications that are not limited to adverse events related to the bowel preparation solutions used,the sedatives used,but to the procedure related as well including bleeding and *** to the extra-luminal abdominal organs during colonoscopy are uncommon,however,serious complications related to the procedure have been reported infrequently in the *** threatening injuries to the spleen,liver,pancreas,mesentery,and urinary bladder have been reported as early as in *** injuries should not be overlooked by clinicians and *** increasing abdominal pain,abdominal distension,and hemodynamic instability in absence of rectal bleeding should raise the possibility of severe organ *** and hepatic injury following colonoscopy are usually serious and may be life *** conservative management may help,yet they usually need interventional radiology or surgical *** pancreatitis following colonoscopy is usually mild and is mostly managed *** mechanism of abdominal organ injuries during colonoscopy is not fully understood,however many risk factors have been identified,which can be classified as-organ related,procedure related,and local abdominal *** colonoscopy and prior intra-abdominal adhesions are probably the most relevant risk factors for these *** lateral position,avoidance of looping and excessive force during the procedure would probably reduce the risk of such injuries.

Classifying rockburst with confidence:A novel conformal prediction approach

The scientific community recognizes the seriousness of rockbursts and the need for effective mitigation *** literature reports various successful applications of machine learning(mL)models for rockburst assessment;however,a significant question remains unanswered:How reliable are these models,and at what confidence level are classifications made?Typically,mL models output single rockburst grade even in the face of intricate and out-of-distribution samples,without any associated confidence *** the susceptibility of mL models to errors,it becomes imperative to quantify their uncertainty to prevent consequential *** address this issue,we propose a conformal prediction(CP)framework built on traditional mL models(extreme gradient boosting and random forest)to generate valid classifications of rockburst while producing a measure of confidence for its *** proposed framework guarantees marginal coverage and,in most cases,conditional coverage on the test *** CP was evaluated on a rockburst case in the Sanshandao Gold mine in China,where it achieved high coverage and efficiency at applicable confidence ***,the CP identified several“confident”classifications from the traditional mL model as unreliable,necessitating expert verification for informed *** proposed framework improves the reliability and accuracy of rockburst assessments,with the potential to bolster user confidence.

Bandgap tuning using rare earth metals as dopants in ferrite-based photocatalytic materials has received a lot of interest because the Fermi 4f energy of these metals generates a sub-energy state in the bandgap generated by the overlapping of Fe-3d and O-2p ***,dysprosium-doped cobalt-nickel mixed ferrite(D-CNFO)and its graphene-reinforced composite(D-CNFO@G)were prepared and an ideal photocatalyst material for azo dye mineralization was proposed.A cost-effective combination of wetchemical and ultrasonication methods was used to prepare the doped and composite *** characterization methodologies were used to scrutinize the optical,compositional,structural,morphological,and photocatalytic characteristics of as-prepared *** X-ray diffraction analysis identified the spinel phase's(cubic)structure,while the electronic spectroscopy examination confirmed the prepared samples'rod-like *** UV/visible absorbance spectrum shows the higher light harvesting behavior of the D-CNFO@G in the visible *** mineralization performance of the DCNFO and D-CNFO@G composites was analyzed using Congo-red(an anionic dye),a well-known azo *** D-CNFO@G sample removes Congo-red dye at a rate almost 2.4%faster than the D-CNFO *** experiment involving trapping free radicals indicates that hydroxyl radical play s a crucial role in dye *** the D-CNFO@G catalyst is magnetic and can be isolated easily from the photocatalytic system,it shows an awkward cycle activity of more than 96%after five mineralization *** asprepared D-CNFO@G composite is proved as an excellent option for azo dye mineralization because of the combined impacts of rare earth doping,graphene reinforcement and nanotechnology.

Due to their thermal performance,domed roofs are one of the passive solutions that affect energy consumption in *** thermal performance of domed roofs has been investigated in many naturally ventilated ***,few studies have discussed their performance in conditioned ***,this study introduces a computational comparison between domed and flat roofs to investigate their impact on thermal comfort inside a conditioned *** an earlier stage,field measurements were carried out inside a Bahraini mosque to acquire its indoor air conditions during the summer period of 2021,in addition to validating the computational *** findings of this study confirm that,under mechanical cooling conditions,the flat roof offers a lower indoor temperature than the domed roof by 0.4℃and 0.1℃for open and closed doors,***,the air velocity is lower by approximately 0.01 m/s for both door *** overall PmV values of the flat roof are also lower by 0.07 and 0.01,while the PPD values are lower by 0.20,and 0.34 for open and closed doors,*** on these small differences,it can be concluded that the thermal performance of both roofing systems behaves equally in conditioned ***,the air patterns are substantially different,the overall thermal performance is *** similarity drives building designers to rethink the thermal performance of the domed roofs in air-conditioned spaces with such a hot climate,regardless of their aesthetic and acoustical behaviour.
