Modelling lane-changing execution behaviour in a connected environment:A grouped random parameters with heterogeneity-in-means approach

Lane-changing is performed either to follow the route to a planned destination(i.e.,mandatory lane-changing)or to achieve better driving conditions(i.e.,discretionary lane-changing).A connected environment is expected to assist during lane-changing manoeuvres,but it is not known well how driving aids in a connected environment assist lane-changing *** such,this study investigates the impact of a connected environment on lanechanging execution time during mandatory and discretionary lane-changing *** this end,this study designed an advanced driving simulator experiment where 78 drivers performed these manoeuvres on a simulated motorway in three randomised driving *** conditions were baseline(without driving aids),a fully functioning connected environment with a perfect supply of driving aids,and an impaired connected environment with delayed driving *** lane-changing execution time has been modelled by a random parameters hazard-based duration modelling approach,which accounts for the panel nature of data and captures the unobserved *** suggest that,compared to the baseline condition(i.e.,a non-connected environment),most of the drivers in the connected environment take more time to complete their lane-changing manoeuvres,indicating drivers’safer lane-changing execution behaviour in the connected *** communication delay driving condition has been found to have more deteriorating effects on mandatory lanechanging manoeuvres than discretionary lane-changing *** study concludes that(i)the connected environment increases safety margin during both lane-changing manoeuvres,and(ii)a higher magnitude of safety margin is observed during mandatory lane-changing manoeuvres whereby drivers have a higher need for assistance.

任何存在于商业环境中的公司,融资决策对他们来说都很重要。每家公司都需要以优势更高但资本成本低的方式筹集资金。之前对资本的决定因素进行了许多研究,以确定他们是否可以找到任何最佳或理想的结构公司。为了找到这种理想的资本结构,他们需要在选择公司可用的选项之间保持平衡。每家公司可用的选择权是股权和债务。它还试图找出理想的资本结构水平。选择巴基斯坦汽车装配商11家公司2008-17年的面板数据进行分析。数据来自巴基斯坦卡拉奇证券交易所和巴基斯坦证券交易所。用于这项研究的测试是;相关,固定效应,随机效应模型和普通最小二乘法。通过应用Hausman检验来选择随机效应和固定效应模型。Hausman检验表明固定效应模型是本研究的合适模型。我们的研究结果表明,债务对现金比率,盈利能力和年龄有负面影响,但有形性和规模与债务比率呈正相关关系。所有变量都很重要,在决策者做出决策时需要考虑这些变量。财务决策者需要选择理想的WACC级别。在融资决策时,最大化股东财富以及公司的利润。

Cholangiocarcinoma(CCA)comprises of extra-hepatic cholangiocarcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma cancers as a result of inflammation of epithelium cell lining of the bile *** incidence rate is increasing dramatically worldwide with highest rates in Eastern and South Asian *** risk factors involve chronic damage and inflammation of bile duct epithelium from primary sclerosing cholangitis,chronic hepatitis virus infection,gallstones and liver fluke *** genetic variants have also been identified and as CCA develops on the background of biliary inflammation,diverse range of molecular mechanisms are involved in its *** these,the Notch signalling pathway acts as a major driver of cholangiocarcinogenesis and its components(receptors,ligands and downstream signalling molecules)represent a promising therapeutic ***-Secretase Inhibitors have been recognized in inhibiting the Notch pathway efficiently.A comprehensive knowledge of the molecular pathways activated by the Notch signalling cascade as well as its functional crosstalk with other signalling pathways provide better approach in developing innovative therapies against CCA.

This paper proposes the orthogonal and nonorthogonal schemes in the interference environments for visible light communication（ VLC） systems. The proposed schemes pay attention to the case when different bit streams from multiple cells are simultaneously transmitted, which consequently causes inter-cell interference（ ICI） and greatly deteriorates the bit error rate（ BER） and channel capacity performance of the system. The performance of the newdeveloped multi-cell system in indoor VLC systems is evaluated. The bipolar phase shift keying（ BPSK） modulation scheme with orthogonal pulses（ OPs） for multiple cells environments is employed to mitigate the ICI problem and improve the BER and channel capacity performances. Since the use of different OPs in each cell requires more number of OPs, which requires high bandwidth, OPs are reused at certain distances. Three different schemes, which are OPs,orthogonal and non-orthogonal pulses（ NOP） reuse, are compared. This paper investigates the impact of using these schemes and compared their performances in the ICI environments. The BER and channel capacity using the proposed schemes are comprehensively examined. Simulation and theoretical results showthat the OPs schemes are more effective in the interference areas of the room and significantly outperform NOP.

Petrographic, physical, and mechanical assessment investigation of NikanaiGhar limestone aggregate exposed in the Lower Dir area of Malakand Division, Pakistan, were conducted to evaluate and investigate its potential for use as a construction material for engineering projects. Different geotechnical tests and petrographic analyses were performed to evaluate its potential for construction purposes. Geotechnical tests include unconfined compressive strength, ultimate tensile strength test, specific gravity, share strength, porosity, and water absorption. The evaluated physical attributes were compared to standard specifications to determine their suitability as a construction material. Petrographic investigation indicates mainly two types of stones. Stylolitic spar stone and Spar stone are metamorphosed equivalent limestones and are not prone to alkali-silica reactivity. Mutual relationships between physical parameters have been described by simple regression analysis. Significant direct correlation of specific gravity with ultimate tensile strength and uniaxial compressive strength was noted. However, negative trends of Porosity with ultimate tensile strength and uniaxial compressive strength were observed which is in accordance with standard. The analysis revealed that the limestones of NikanaiGhar Formation fall within the standard specification limits and can be used as aggregates for the indigenous construction industry.
