Open Underlay Mesh Reinforced Large Incisional Hernia Repair—Prospective Observational Hospital Based Study

Introduction: Incisional hernias frequently complicate abdominal surgeries with a varied incidence as reported to be 2% - 20%. The risk factors of development of incisional hernias include immunocompromised state, diabetes mellitus, smoking, obesity, wound infection at the index surgery, emergency surgery. Materials and Methods: The study design was prospective and included 62 patients with incisional hernias. The patients were evaluated preoperatively on OPD basis with history, clinical examination, baseline investigation, ultrasound abdomen and computed tomogram. Results: The mean age was 48.9 years with male:female ratio of 1:1.4. Mean BMI was 30.1 kg/m2. Out of 62 patients in the study 61.2% had concomitant hypertension and were on treatment for the same. 30.6% were clinically hypothyroid, 38.7% were diabetic and 54.8% were smokers. There were multiple factors present in patients in the current study which were observed to be possible to have risked the patients to incisional hernias after an abdominal surgery. 21 patients had defect size ranging from 5 to 10 cm and 41 patients were bearing a hernia of the defect size of 10 cm or more. The mean operative time was 221.7 minutes. Conclusion: Incisional hernias are a part of surgical practice that would probably glue to it to the end of time. A progression from primitive suture repair with recurrence rates of over 65% to modern day mesh reinforced repairs with recurrences aimed at 0% is always welcome. But still then the placement of mesh in different positions or layers of abdominal wall yields different results.

Betula utilis *** an important species of alpine Himalaya and forms the major treeline component of western *** different populations of *** are declining and are under high *** the present study,novel expressed sequence tag-simple sequence repeat(EST-SSR)primers were developed from expressed sequence tag(EST)data of different Betula *** the10,796 designed primers,the percentages of di-,tri-,tetra-,penta-,and hexa-repeats were 36%,35%,15%,5.5%and7.7%,*** validation,50 primers were synthesized randomly and were characterized in 20 different *** accessions from north-western *** these,45 primers amplified fragments in a range of *** 24 polymorphic primers produced 111 fragments in aggregate with 4.6 fragments on *** information content(PIC)ranged from 0.288 in marker BUMS-24 to 0.497 in BUMS-3 and BUMS-7,with an average of 0.447 among polymorphic *** based on Jaccard’s similarity coefficient and UPGMA method showed that newly developed SSR markers distinguished twenty accessions of *** into two *** no SSR markers were available in this species,the newly developed markers will foster molecular genetics research and conservation efforts for this species.

The rye genome has shown potential for improvement of bread wheat,where wheat-rye substitutions and translocations have been and are frequently used in resistance *** belongs to different generations viz.,BC_(1)F_(1),BC_(1)F_(2),BC_(1)F_(3),BC_(1)F_(4)and BC_(2)F_(3)of triticale×wheat derived were used for different haploid induction parameters using Gogon grass(Imperata cylindrica)as a pollen *** percentage of pseudo seed formation ranged from 34.55%for BC_(1)F_(2)to 63.77 for BC_(1)F_(1)crosses,the haploid embryo formation ranges from 9.43%for BC_(1)F_(1)to 30.2%for BC_(1)F_(2),the haploid plant generation ranges from 19.36%for BC_(1)F_(2)to 63.25%for BC_(1)F_(1).Four doubled haploids were developed from ITSN 105/58-VL 802-VL 802 of BC_(2)F_(3)underwent molecular cytogenetic analyses using the probes,viz.,rye genomic rDNA,pSc 119 and *** and GISH analysis revealed an IBL.1RS translocation and substitution of 5R chromosome instead of the 5D chromosomes in these doubled haploids.

The rapid growth in software demand incentivizes software development organizations to develop exclusive software for their customers *** problem is addressed by the software development industry by software product line(SPL)practices that employ feature ***,optimal feature selection based on user requirements is a challenging ***,there is a requirement to resolve the challenges of software development,to increase satisfaction and maintain high product quality,for massive customer needs within limited *** this work,we propose a recommender system for the development team and clients to increase productivity and quality by utilizing historical information and prior experiences of similar developers and *** proposed system recommends features with their estimated cost concerning new software requirements,from all over the globe according to similar developers’and clients’needs and *** system guides and facilitates the development team by suggesting a list of features,code snippets,libraries,cheat sheets of programming languages,and coding references from a cloud-based knowledge management ***,a list of features is suggested to the client according to their needs and *** experimental results revealed that the proposed recommender system is feasible and effective,providing better recommendations to developers and *** provides proper and reasonably well-estimated costs to perform development tasks effectively as well as increase the client’s satisfaction *** results indicate that there is an increase in productivity,performance,and quality of products and a reduction in effort,complexity,and system ***,our proposed system facilitates developers and clients during development by providing better recommendations in terms of solutions and anticipated ***,the increase in productivity and satisfaction level maximizes the benefits and usability of SPL in the
