RNA-based nanomedicines encompass a range of therapeutic approaches that utilize RNA molecules or molecules that target RNAs for the treatment or prevention of *** include antisense oligonucleotides(ASOs),small interfering RNAs(siRNAs),endogenous microRNAs(miRNAs),messenger RNAs(mRNAs),clustered regularly interspersed short palindromic repeats-associated protein 9(CRISPR/Cas9),single guide RNAs(sgRNAs),as well as RNA *** therapeutic agents exert their effects through various mechanisms such as gene inhibition,addition,replacement,and *** advancement of RNA biology and the field of RNA therapy has paved the way for the development and utilization of RNA-based nanomedicine in human *** remarkable example of RNA-based nanomedicine is the mRNA-based vaccines including mRNA-1273(Moderna)and BNT162b2(Pfizer/BioNTech)that have been successfully employed in response to the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)*** review aims to highlight the advantages of RNA-based nanomedicines,provides an overview of significant developments in delivery systems,elucidates the molecular mechanisms of action underlying RNA-based nanomedicines,and discusses their clinical ***,the review will address the existing challenges and innovations in delivery platforms while exploring the future possibilities for these promising RNA-based nanomedicines.

Coordinated Frequency Control for Isolated Power Systems with High Penetration of DFIG-Based Wind Power

This paper proposes a coordinated frequency control scheme for emergency frequency regulation of isolated power systems with a high penetration of wind *** proposed frequency control strategy is based on the novel nonlinear regulator theory,which takes advantage of nonlinearity of doubly fed induction generators(DFIGs)and generators to regulate the frequency of the power *** deviations and power imbalances are used to design nonlinear feedback controllers that achieve the reserve power distribution between generators and DFIGs,in various wind speed *** effectiveness and dynamic performance of the proposed nonlinear coordinated frequency control method are validated through simulations in an actual isolated power grid.

P-and S-wave separation plays an important role in elastic reverse-time *** can reduce the artifacts caused by crosstalk between different modes and improve image *** addition,P-and Swave separation can also be used to better understand and distinguish wave types in complex *** present,the methods for separating wave modes in anisotropic media mainly include spatial nonstationary filtering,low-rank approximation,and vector Poisson *** of these methods require multiple Fourier transforms or the calculation of large matrices,which require high computational costs for problems with large *** this paper,an efficient method is proposed to separate the wave mode for anisotropic media by using a scalar anisotropic Poisson operator in the spatial *** 2D problems,the computational complexity required by this method is 1/2 of the methods based on solving a vector Poisson ***,compared with existing methods based on pseudoHelmholtz decomposition operators,this method can significantly reduce the computational *** examples also show that the P and S waves decomposed by this method not only have the correct amplitude and phase relative to the input wavefield but also can reduce the computational complexity significantly.

A two-field-scan harmonic Hall voltage analysis for fast,accurate quantification of spin-orbit torques in magnetic heterostructures

We report on the development of a“two-field-scan”harmonic Hall voltage(HHV)analysis,which collects the second HHVas a function of a swept in-plane magnetic field at 45°and 0°relative to the excitation current,for the determination of the spin-orbit torques of transverse spins in magnetic heterostructures without significant perpendicular spins,longitudinal spins,and longitudinal/perpendicular Oersted *** demonstrate that this two-field-scan analysis is as accurate as the well-established but time-consuming angle-scan HHV analysis even in the presence of considerable thermoelectric effects but takes more than a factor of 7 less measurement *** also show that the fit of the HHV data from a single field scan at 0°,which is commonly employed in the literature,is not reliable because the employment of too many free parameters in the fitting of the very slowly varying HHV signal allows erroneous conclusion about the spin-orbit torque efficiencies.

Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets play a crucial role in energy conversion and electronic *** essential magnetic properties of Nd-Fe-B magnets,particularly coercivity and remanent magnetization,are significantly infuenced by the phase characteristics and *** this work,Nd-Fe-B magnets were manufactured using vacuum induction melting(VIM),laser directed energy deposition(LDED)and laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)*** evolution and phase selection of Nd-Fe-B magnets were then clarified in *** results indicated that the solidification velocity(V)and cooling rate(R)are key factors in the phase *** terms of the VIM-casting Nd-Fe-B magnet,a large volume fraction of theα-Fe soft magnetic phase(39.7 vol.%)and Nd2Fe17Bxmetastable phase(34.7 vol.%)areformed due to the low R(2.3×10-1?C s-1),whereas only a minor fraction of the Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic phase(5.15 vol.%)is *** the LDED-processed Nd-Fe-B deposit,although the Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic phase also had a low value(3.4 vol.%)as the values of V(10-2m s-1)and R(1.45×106?C s-1)in the LPBF process resulted in the substantial formation of the Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic phase(55.8 vol.%)directly from the liquid,while theα-Fe soft magnetic phase and Nd2Fe17Bxmetastable phase precipitation are suppressed in the LPBF-processed Nd-Fe-B ***,crystallographic texture analysis reveals that the LPBF-processedNd-Fe-B magnets exhibit isotropic magnetic ***,the LPBF-processed Nd-Fe-B deposit,exhibiting a coercivity of 656 k A m-1,remanence of 0.79 T and maximum energy product of 71.5 k J m-3,achieved an acceptable magnetic perfor

Neddylation plays a vital role in post-translational modification, intricately shaping the regulation of diverse biological processes, including those related to cellular immune responses. In fact, neddylation exerts control over both innate and adaptive immune systems via various mechanisms. Specifically, neddylation influences the function and survival of innate immune cells, activation of pattern recognition receptors and GMP-AMP synthase–stimulator of interferon genes pathways, as well as the release of various cytokines in innate immune reactions. Moreover, neddylation also governs the function and survival of antigen-presenting cells, which are crucial for initiating adaptive immune reactions. In addition, neddylation regulates T cell activation, proliferation, differentiation, survival, and their effector functions, thereby ensuring an appropriate adaptive immune response. In this review, we summarize the most recent findings in these aspects and delve into the connection between dysregulated neddylation events and immunological disorders, especially inflammatory diseases. Lastly, we propose future directions and potential treatments for these diseases by targeting neddylation.

In situ tracking of the lithiation and sodiation process of disodium terephthalate as anodes for rechargeable batteries by Raman spectroscopy

Organic compounds represent an appealing group of electrode materials for rechargeable batteries due to their merits of biomass,sustainability,environmental friendliness,and *** terephthalate(Na_(2)C_(8)H_(4)O_(4),Na_(2)TP),an organic salt with a theoretical capacity of 255 mAh·g^(-1),is electroactive towards both lithium and ***,its electrochemical energy storage(EES)process has not been directly observed via in situ characterization techniques and the underlying mechanisms are still under ***,in situ Raman spectroscopy was employed to track the de/lithiation and de/sodiation processes of *** appearance and then disappearance of the–COOLi Raman band at 1625 cm^(-1) during the de/lithiation,and the increase and then decrease of the–COONa Raman band at 1615 cm^(-1) during the de/sodiation processes of Na2TP elucidate the one-step with the 2Li+or 2Na+transfer *** also found that the inferior cycling stability of Na2TP as an anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)than lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)could be due to the larger ion radium of Na+than Li+,which results in larger steric resistance and polarization during *** Na2TP,therefore,shows greater changes in spectra during de/sodiation than de/*** expect that our findings could provide a reference for the rational design of organic compounds for EES.

Bismuth vanadate(BiVO_(4))is a promising photoanode material for efficient photoelectrochemical(PEC)water splitting,whereas its performance is inhibited by detrimental surface *** solve the problem,herein,a low-cost organic molecule 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid(BTC)is selected for surface passivation of BiVO_(4) photoanodes(BVOs),which also provides bonding sites for Co^(2+)to anchor,resulting in a Co-BTC-BVO *** to its strong coordination with metal ions,BTC not only passivates surface states of BVO,but also provides bonding between BVO and catalytic active sites(Co^(2+))to form a molecular *** study and interfacial charge kinetic investigation reveal that chemical bonding formed at the interface greatly suppresses charge recombination and accelerates charge *** obtained Co-BTC-BVO photoanode exhibits a photocurrent density of 4.82 mA/cm^(2) at 1.23 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE)and a low onset potential of 0.22 VRHE under AM 1.5 G illumination,which ranks among the best photoanodes coupled with Co-based *** work presents a novel selection of passivation layers and emphasizes the significance of interfacial chemical bonding for the construction of efficient photoanodes.
