Krill oil attenuates obesity-induced skeletal muscle atrophy in mice

Obesity is associated with skeletal muscle mass loss and physical dysfunction. Krill oil (KO) has been shown to be beneficial in human health. However， the effect of KO on obesity-induced skeletal muscle atrophy is still unclear. In this study， the male C57BL/6J mice were fed a high-fat diet (HFD) for 12 weeks to induce obesity， and then were intragastric administration with 400 mg/kg bw KO for an additional 6 weeks. The results showed that KO treatment reduced body weight， fat accumulation and serum pro-inflammatory cytokines in HFD-induced obese mice. Importantly， KO treatment attenuated skeletal muscle atrophy in HFD-fed mice， as evidenced by preserving skeletal muscle mass， average myofiber cross-sectional area and grip strength. KO administration also mitigated obesity-induced ectopic lipid deposition and inflammatory response in skeletal muscle. Additionally， KO treatment inhibited the transcriptional activities of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) p65 and forkhead box O 3a (FoxO3a)， and then down-regulated muscle atrophy F-box (MAFbx) and muscle-specific RING finger protein 1 (MuRF1) protein levels in skeletal muscle from HFD-fed mice. KO administration also improved obesity-induced impaired muscle protein synthesis via activating PI3K/Akt pathway. Furthermore， KO treatment enhanced muscle mitochondrial biogenesis in HFD-induced obese mice via activating PGC-1α pathway. Collectively， KO might be developed as a potential nutritional supplement for the prevention and treatment of obesity-induced skeletal muscle atrophy.

为得到更多羊肚菌菌丝体,优化羊肚菌菌丝体发酵培养基及培养条件。采用单因素和响应面优化方法对羊肚菌菌丝体液体发酵培养基成分及培养条件进行优化研究。结果表明,通过单因素试验,最佳碳源选取蔗糖20 g/L;最佳氮源选取酵母膏25 g/L;最佳无机盐选取KH2PO42.0 g/L;最佳pH值7,温度28℃。通过响应面优化试验,在蔗糖25 g/L、酵母膏15 g/L、KH2PO42.5 g/L、温度24℃时,菌丝体干重达17.71 g/L,比原有培养基培养的菌丝体干重提升22%。研究为羊肚菌液体高效生产菌丝体,开发羊肚菌发酵类产品奠定基础。

The reaction mechanism of CN radicals with ClO radicals has been studied theoretically using ab initio and density functional theory(DFT).The result shows that the main reaction path is the O atom in radical ClO attacks the C atom in radical CN to compose the intermediate 1 ClOCN.Three thermodynamically accessible prodncts,P1(CO+ClN),P3(NO+CCl),and P4(ClNCO),were obtained from intermediate 1 through isomerization and decomposition reactions.P4 is the primary product,and P1 and P3 are the secondary product.Compared with the singlet potential energy surface,the contribution of the triplet potential energy surface can be ignored.

This study reports the geochemical characteristics of zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), nickel (Ni), mercury (Hg), iron (Fe), and manganese (Mn) in the riparian sediment pore water of the Songhua River, Northeast China. In total, 36 pore water samples and 18 surface water samples from three typical sections were collected and analyzed in June 2009. Cluster analysis of heavy metals was performed to analyze the pollution sources of the metals. Results showed that Hg concentrations in the pore water were greater than those in the surface water, indicating a potential ability of Hg release from riparian sediment system to river water. However, concentrations of Fe and Mn in the surface water were greater than those in the pore water, demonstrating that the microenvironments of riparian and riverbed sediment systems were quite different. Variations of Zn, Cu, Pb and Ni between the surface and the pore water were different in each section. Most metals had similar horizontal and profile distribution characteristics in the three sections except for Zn and Ni. Hg, Fe and Mn concentrations in the pore water increased gradually with the increase in horizontal distance from water body, in contrast to this, Cu decreased, and Pb presented a fluctuating trend. With the increase in depth, Pb and Fe, Cu and Mn showed the same trends, and Hg showed a variable trend. The above distribution characteristics could mainly be attributed to the properties and the interactions of metals, pH and oxidation-reduction conditions, and the complex pollution sources and hydrologic regime in history. The probable sources of metals include the historical and ongoing discharge of industrial wastewater, mining activities, sewage irrigation for agricultural production, and atmospheric deposition from coal-fired plants.

分泌促肾上腺皮质激素(adrenocorticotropic hormone,ACTH)的垂体腺瘤(垂体ACTH瘤)因过度分泌ACTH刺激双侧肾上腺皮质增生而引起高皮质醇血症,也称作库欣病(Cushing’s disease,CD),是内源性高皮质醇血症最常见的原因。垂体ACTH瘤可导致电解质紊乱,糖、脂代谢紊乱等一系列严重的临床症候群,累及全身多个脏器及系统。经蝶窦神经内镜手术是垂体ACTH瘤的一线治疗方法,可以得到较高的缓解率,但术后复发和持续状态仍然是垂体ACTH瘤治疗的一个未解决的问题。垂体ACTH瘤病理评估在确定病变性质、预测其预后及药物治疗选择方面均有重要的价值。文章就垂体ACTH瘤病理评估的相关进展进行综述,包括新的免疫组化标志物和镜下特殊表现。

Small and medium-sized enterprises have developed rapidly under the guidance and support of the national industrial policy.Because of the influence of the post financial crisis,the rate of the global economy development decreased and the market competition increased,the profit of small and medium-sized enterprises is on the decline or even in a loss.The paper,based on the value creation logic of Balanced Score Card,put forward that we should,with the Differentiation Strategy as the basis,using Strategy Map and Cascade Strategy,integrate the key internal procedures to increase the strategic preparation of intangible assets to guide the business model innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises and promote the rapid development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
