Biomass‐derived carbon is a promising electrode material in energy storage ***,how to improve its low capacity and stability,and slow diffusion kinetics during lithium storage remains a *** this research,we propose a“self‐assembly‐template”method to prepare B,N codoped porous carbon(BN‐c)with a nanosandwich structure and abundant pyridinic N‐B *** nanosandwich structure can increase powder density and cycle stability by constructing a stable solid electrolyte interphase film,shortening the Li^(+)diffusion pathway,and accommodating volume expansion during repeated charging/*** abundant pyridinic N‐B species can simultaneously promote the adsorption/desorption of Li^(+)/PF_(6)^(−)and reduce the diffusion *** BN‐c electrode showed a high lithium‐ion storage capacity of above 1140 mAh g^(−1)at 0.05 A g^(−1)and superior stability(96.5%retained after 2000 cycles).Moreover,owing to the synergistic effect of the nanosandwich structure and pyridinic N‐B species,the assembled symmetrical BN‐c//BN‐c full cell shows a high energy density of 234.7Wh kg^(−1),high power density of 39.38 kW kg−1,and excellent cycling stability,superior to most of the other cells reported in the *** the density functional theory simulation demonstrated,pyridinic N‐B shows enhanced adsorption activity for Li^(+)and PF_(6)^(−),which promotes an increase in the capacity of the anode and cathode,***,the relatively lower diffusion barrier of pyridinic N‐B promotes Li^(+)migration,resulting in good rate ***,this study provides a new approach for the synergistic modulation of a nanostructure and an active site simultaneously to fabricate the carbon electrode material in energy storage devices.

The weakening effect of urbanization on tropical cyclone surface winds : An observational study for Shanghai

The observation -reanalysis difference method (OMR) and wind pro fi le fi tting method were used to analyze the in fl uence urbanization has on the near -surface wind speed in Shanghai during tropical cyclone events. The data used include daily wind speed data from the Shanghai Meteorological Observatory Station collected from 1991 to 2020, hourly wind speed data from 100 m high wind towers from 2017 to 2019, and reanalysis data that covered the same period. The results indicated that during tropical cyclone occurrence, the wind speed of the OMR in the central urban region was signi fi cantly lower than that in the suburban area, and the OMR declined more obviously over the year, down to - 8 m/s in 2020. Urbanization leads to the increase of average wind weakening rate to be higher than the maximum wind weakening rate, causing the maximum weakening rate of the central urban region to the average wind over 80%, while maximum wind speed was less than 80%. The weakening rate of both the average and maximum wind speeds during tropical cyclone impacts is greater than the rate that the annual average wind speed was reduced. A logarithmic variation was visible in the wind pro fi le of the island station during tropical cyclone occurrence, with an average friction velocity U * of 0.9389 m/s and an average rough length Z 0 of 0.4915 m. The wind speed during tropical cyclone events was higher than the three-year average wind speed within each layer. The suburban stations show a linear variation, and every hundred meters of height results in an increase of 5 - 6 m/s in the wind speed change rate. Estimation and validation of characteristic length of internal solitary wave based on normal mode coupling

For a fluid medium with density stratification, the internal wave is easily observed under disturbance of waves, and the acoustic transmission loss and the characteristic parameters of the internal solitary wave are related. The mathematical relationship between the horizontal wavenumber difference of normal modes and the characteristic length of internal wave is established according to the coupling theory of normal modes. Furthermore, a method for estimating the characteristic length of internal solitary wave based on active acoustic means is proposed. The numerical simulation results reveal that the internal solitary wave has a significant influence on the forward transmission of sound *** a specific frequency, the transmission loss of sound waves fluctuates significantly and is related to the wavenumber difference of the coupling between internal waves and normal modes. An experiment system for studying internal waves in a tank is established, and the forward scattering data of the internal waves are collected by using a developed broadband transient plasma sound source. The feasibility of estimating the characteristic parameters of the internal solitary wave based on the resonance phenomenon is verified through experimental data analysis.

In this study,we have explored the use of water as a non-solvent for tuning the microstructure of poly-benzimidazole(PBI)membranes,which are potential separators for lithium metal batteries(LMBs).The traditional method for membrane synthesis called nonsolvent-induced phase separation(NIPS),usually relies on hazardous and costly organic *** dissolving sodium chloride(Nacl)in water,we could adjust the water ionic potency and the exchange speed of the non-solvent with the DMAc solution to change the micropore structure of the PBI *** increasing Nacl concentration,the micro-pores in the PBI membrane transitioned from finger-like to sponge-like *** to com-mercial separators like the celgard separator,the PBI membrane with sponge-like micropores exhibited better regulation of lithium deposition and improved Li^(+) transportation capability due to its good wetta-bility with the ***,the PBI membrane-based Li/Li symmetric cell and Li/LiFePO_(4) full cell demonstrated superior performance compared to the celgard-based *** research proposes an eco-friendly and scalable synthetic approach for fabricating commercial separators for LMBs,addressing the issue of lithium dendrite growth and improving overall battery safety and performance.
