Recent progress in maximizing submodular functions with a cardinality constraint through centralized and streaming modes has demonstrated a wide range of applications and also developed comprehensive theoretical *** submodularity was investigated to capture the diversity and representativeness of the utilities,and the monotonicity has the advantage of improving the *** submodular optimization models were developed in the latest studies(such as a house on fire),which aimed to sieve subsets with constraints to optimize regularized *** study is motivated by the setting in which the input stream is partitioned into several disjoint parts,and each part has a limited size constraint.A first threshold-based bicriteria(1/3,2/3/)-approximation for the problem is provided.

In this paper,we study a class of online continuous optimization *** each round,the utility function is the sum of a weakly diminishing-returns(DR)submodular function and a concave function,certain cost associated with the action will occur,and the problem has total limited *** the two methods,the penalty function and Frank-Wolfe strategies,we present an online method to solve the considered *** appropriate stepsize and penalty parameters,the performance of the online algorithm is guaranteed,that is,it achieves sub-linear regret bound and certain mild constraint violation bound in expectation.

The Connected Sensor Problem(CSP)presents a prevalent challenge in the realms of communication and Internet of Things(IoT)*** primary aim is to maximize the coverage of users while maintaining connectivity among K *** the challenge of managing a large user base alongside a finite number of candidate locations,this paper proposes an extension to the CSP:the h-hop independently submodular maximization problem characterized by curvatureα.We have developed an approximation algorithm that achieves a ratio of 1−e−α/(2h+3)α.The efficacy of this algorithm is demonstrated on the CSP,where it shows superior performance over existing algorithms,marked by an average enhancement of 8.4%.

The mixed-mode resins for protein adsorption have been prepared by a novel strategy, copolymer grafting. Specially, the copolymer-grafted resins CG-MA with two functional groups, 5-amino-benzimidazole (ABI) and methacryloxyethyltrimethyl ammonium chloride (METAC), have been prepared through surfaceinitiated activator generated by electron transfer for atom transfer radical polymerization of METAC and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA), followed by a ring-open reaction to introduce ABI. The charge and hydrophobicity of CG-MA resins could be controlled by manipulating the addition of METAC and GMA/ABI. Besides, METAC and ABI provided positive effects together in both protein adsorption and elution: dynamic binding capacity of human Immunoglobulin G (hlgG) onto CG-M-A resin with the highest ligand ratio of METAC to ABI is 46.8 mg-g 1 at pH 9 and the elution recovery of hlgG is 97.0% at pH 5. The separation experiment showed that purity and recovery of monoclonal antibody from cell culture supernatant are 96.0% and 86.5%, respectively, indicating that copolymer-grafted mixed-mode resins could be used for antibody purification.

Nucleation of lithium sulfide(Li_(2)S)induced by electrocatalysts plays a crucial role in mitigating the shut-tle ***,short-chain polysulfides on electrocatalysts surfaces tend to re-dissolve into elec-trolytes,delaying Li_(2)S supersaturation and its *** this study,we draw inspiration from the ribosome-driven protein synthesis process in cells to prepare ultrasmall nitrogen-doped MoS_(2) nanocrys-tals anchored on porous nitrogen-doped carbon networks(N-MoS_(2)-NC)***,the ex-situ SEM demonstrates that ribosome-inspired N-MoS_(2)-NC electrocatalysts induce early nucleation and rapid growth of three-dimensional Li_(2)s during *** calculations reveal that the Li-s bond length in N-MoS_(2)-Li_(2)S(100)is shorter,and the corresponding interfacial formation energy is lower than in MoS_(2)-Li_(2)S(100).This accelerated conversion of lithium polysulfides to Li_(2)S can enhance the utilization of active substances and inhibit the shuttle *** study highlights the potential of ribosome-inspired N-MoS_(2)-NC in improving the electrochemical stability of Li-S batteries,providing valuable insights for future electrocatalyst design.

Retinitis pigmentosa is a group of inherited diseases that lead to retinal degeneration and photoreceptor cell ***,there is no effective treatment for retinitis pigmentosa caused by PDE6B ***-associated virus(AAV)-mediated gene therapy is a promising strategy for treating retinitis *** aim of this study was to explore the molecular mechanisms by which AAV2-PDE6B rescues retinal *** do this,we injected retinal degeneration 10(rd10)mice subretinally with AAV2-PDE6B and assessed the therapeutic effects on retinal function and structure using dark-and light-adapted electroretinogram,optical coherence tomography,and ***-independent acquisition-mass spectrometry-based proteomic analysis was conducted to investigate protein expression levels and pathway enrichment,and the results from this analysis were verified by real-time polymerase chain reaction and western ***2-PDE6B injection significantly upregulated PDE6βexpression,preserved electroretinogram responses,and preserved outer nuclear layer thickness in rd10 *** expressed proteins between wild-type and rd10 mice were closely related to visual perception,and treating rd10 mice with AAV2-PDE6B restored differentially expressed protein expression to levels similar to those seen in wild-type *** Encyclopedia of Genes and Genome analysis showed that the differentially expressed proteins whose expression was most significantly altered by AAV2-PDE6B injection were enriched in phototransduction ***,the phototransductionrelated proteins Pde6α,Rom1,Rho,Aldh1a1,and Rbp1 exhibited opposite expression patterns in rd10 mice with or without AAV2-PDE6B ***,Bax/Bcl-2,p-ERK/ERK,and p-c-Fos/c-Fos expression levels decreased in rd10 mice following AAV2-PDE6B *** data suggest that AAV2-PDE6B-mediated gene therapy promotes phototransduction and inhibits apoptosis by inhibiting the ERK signaling pathway and upr
