Alzheimer's disease poses a significant global health challenge owing to the progressive cognitive decline of patients and absence of curative *** current therapeutic strategies,primarily based on cholinesterase inhibitors and N-methyl-Daspartate receptor antagonists,offer limited symptomatic relief without halting disease progression,highlighting an urgent need for novel research directions that address the key mechanisms underlying Alzheimer's *** studies have provided insights into the critical role of glycolysis,a fundamental energy metabolism pathway in the brain,in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's *** in glycolytic processes within neurons and glial cells,including microglia,astrocytes,and oligodendrocytes,have been identified as significant contributors to the pathological landscape of Alzheimer's *** changes impact neuronal health and function,thus offering promising targets for therapeutic *** purpose of this review is to consolidate current knowledge on the modifications in glycolysis associated with Alzheimer's disease and ex.lore the mechanisms by which these abnormalities contribute to disease onset and *** focus on the pathways through which glycolytic dysfunction influences Alzheimer's disease pathology should provide insights into potential therapeutic targets and strategies that pave the way for groundbreaking treatments,emphasizing the importance of understanding metabolic processes in the quest for clarification and management of Alzheimer's disease.

In patients with Alzheimer’s disease,gamma-glutamyl transferase 5(GGT5)ex.ression has been observed to be downregulated in cerebrovascular endothelial ***,the functional role of GGT5 in the development of Alzheimer’s disease remains *** study aimed to ex.lore the effect of GGT5 on cognitive function and brain pathology in an APP/PS1 mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease,as well as the underlying *** observed a significant reduction in GGT5 ex.ression in two in vitro models of Alzheimer’s disease(Aβ_(1-42)-treated hCMEC/D3 and bEnd.3 cells),as well as in the APP/PS1 mouse ***,inj.ction of APP/PS1 mice with an adeno-associated virus encoding GGT5 enhanced hippocampal synaptic plasticity and mitigated cognitive ***,increasing GGT5 ex.ression in cerebrovascular endothelial cells reduced levels of both soluble and insoluble amyloid-βin the brains of APP/PS1 *** effect may be attributable to inhibition of the ex.ression ofβ-site APP cleaving enzyme 1,which is mediated by nuclear factor-kappa *** findings demonstrate that GGT5 ex.ression in cerebrovascular endothelial cells is inversely associated with Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis,and that GGT5 upregulation mitigates cognitive deficits in APP/PS1 *** findings suggest that GGT5 ex.ression in cerebrovascular endothelial cells is a potential therapeutic target and biomarker for Alzheimer’s disease.

Nowadays,force sensors play an important role in industrial production,electronic information,medical health,and many other ***-dimensional material-based filed effect transistor(2D-FET)sensors are competitive with nano-level size,lower power consumption,and accurate ***,few of them has the capability of impulse detection which is a path function,ex.ressing the cumulative effect of the force on the particle over a period of *** we fabricated the flex.ble polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)gate dielectric MoS_(2)-FET for force and impulse sensor *** systematically investigated the responses of the sensor to constant force and varying forces,and achieved the conversion factors of the drain current signals(I_(ds))to the detected impulse(I).The applied force was detected and recorded by I_(ds)with a low power consumption of~30 *** sensitivity of the device can reach~8000%and the 4×1 sensor array is able to detect and locate the normal force applied on ***,there was almost no performance loss for the device as left in the air for two months.

The central nervous system, information integration center of the body, is mainly composed of neurons and glial cells. The neuron is one of the most basic and important structural and functional units of the central nervous system, with sensory stimulation and ex.itation conduction functions. Astrocytes and microglia belong to the glial cell family, which is the main source of cytokines and represents the main defense system of the central nervous system. Nerve cells undergo neurotransmission or gliotransmission, which regulates neuronal activity via the ion channels, receptors, or transporters ex.ressed on nerve cell membranes. Ion channels, composed of large transmembrane proteins, play crucial roles in maintaining nerve cell homeostasis. These channels are also important for control of the membrane potential and in the secretion of neurotransmitters. A variety of cellular functions and life activities, including functional regulation of the central nervous system, the generation and conduction of nerve ex.itation, the occurrence of receptor potential, heart pulsation, smooth muscle peristalsis, skeletal muscle contraction, and hormone secretion, are closely related to ion channels associated with passive transmembrane transport. Two types of ion channels in the central nervous system, potassium channels and calcium channels, are closely related to various neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and epilepsy. Accordingly, various drugs that can affect these ion channels have been ex.lored deeply to provide new directions for the treatment of these neurological disorders. In this review, we focus on the functions of potassium and calcium ion channels in different nerve cells and their involvement in neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, depression, epilepsy, autism, and rare disorders. In current International Thermonuclear Ex.erimental Reactor （ITER） design, the 316LN austenitic stainless steel （316LN SS） is used for first-wall/blanket structures. Thus, it is necessary to study the fundamental mechanical properties and irradiation effect of 316LN SS. A random solid solution model of Fe-Cr-Ni-Mn- Mo-Si alloy is used for describing 310LN S$. Using first-principles approaches, the elastic constants and ideal strength of the alloy were calculated. Such alloy ex.ibits good ductile behavior according to the theoretical values of Cauchy pressure and ratio of bulk modulus and shear modulus. Within the 256-atom supercell, inclusion of single vacancy defect further enhances the ductility of the alloy, and the ex.stence of interstitial （Fe, H, He） atoms enhances the Young＇s modulus.

We adopted the solution impregnation route with aluminum dihydrogen phosphate solution as liquid medium for effective surface modification on graphite *** mass ratio of graphite to Al(H_(2)PO_(4))_(3) changed from 0.5:1 to 4:1,and the impregnation time changed from 1 to 7 *** typical composite phase change thermal storage materials doped with the as-treated graphite were fabricated using form-stable *** investigate the ox.dation and anti-ox.dation behavior of the impregnated graphite at high temperatures,the samples were put into a muffle furnace for a cyclic heat *** on SEM,EDS,DSC techniques,analyses on the impregnated technique suggested an optimized processing conditions of a 3 h impregnation time with the ratio of graphite:Al(H_(2)PO_(4))_(3) as 1:3 for graphite impregnation *** investigations on high-temperature phase change heat storage materials doped by the treated graphite suggested ex.ellent ox.dation resistance and thermal cycling performance.

A novel crystal characterization instrument has been built up in which a combination of x.ray multiple diffraction and x.ray topography is applied to enabling the cross-correlation between micro-crystallographic symmetry and its spatial dependence in relation to lattice defects. This facility is used to ex.mine, in a self-consistent manner, growth sector-dependant changes to both the crystallographic structure and the lattice defects associated with the action of habit-modifying additives in a number of representative crystal growth systems. In addition, the new instrument can be used to probe micro-crystallographic aspects(such as distortion to crystal symmetry) and relate these in a spatially resolved manner to the crystal defect structure in crystals doped with known habit modifiers.
