To reveal genetic risks of early-onset sporadic dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM) patients in the Chinese Han population, we enlisted 363 DCM cases and 414 healthy controls. Whole-exome sequencing and phenotypic characterization were conducted. In total, we identified 26 loss-of-function(LOF) candidates and 66 pathogenic variants from 33 genes, most of which were *** deleterious variants can account for 25.07%(91/363) of all patients. Furthermore, rare missense variants in 21 genes were found to be significantly associated with DCM in burden tests. Other than rare variants, twelve common SNPs were significantly associated with an increased risk of DCM in allele-based genetic model association analysis. Of note, in the cumulative risk model, high-risk subjects had a 3.113-fold higher risk of developing DCM than low-risk subjects. Also, DCM in the high-risk group had a younger age of onset than that in the low-risk group. In terms of cardiac function, the mean left ventricular ejection fraction of patients with the deleterious variants was lower than those without(27.73%±10.02% vs. 30.61%±10.85%, P=0.026).To conclude, we mapped a comprehensive atlas of genetic risks in Chinese patients with DCM that might lead to new insights into the mechanisms and risk stratification for DCM.

Background:Current surveillance strategies for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)among patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)are *** study aimed to investigate the diagnostic perfor-mance of alpha-fetoprotein(AFP),protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist-Ⅱ(PIVKA-Ⅱ),lens culinaris agglutinin-reactive fraction of AFP(AFP-L3),and their combinations in HCC underlying NAFLD ***:Serologic AFP,AFP-L3,and PIVKA-Ⅱ levels in NAFLD patients with and without HCC were *** receiver operating characteristic(ROC)analyses,the area under the curve(AUC),sensitivity,and specificity were obtained to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of each biomarker and their ***:This study was conducted on 139 patients with NAFLD-HCC and 345 NAFLD *** eleva-tion of these three biomarkers was observed in patients with NAFLD-HCC compared to those in NAFLD controls(all P<0.001).When they were analyzed individually,PIVKA-Ⅱ showed the best performance in diagnosing any-stage HCC with an AUC of 0.869,followed by AFP(0.763;***-Ⅱ,P<0.001)and AFP-L3(0.689;***-II,P<0.001).When they were analyzed in combination,AFP+PIVKA-Ⅱ yielded the highest AUC(0.906),followed by AFP+PIVKA-II+AFP-L3(0.904;***+PIVKA-Ⅱ,P=0.086),PIVKA-Ⅱ+AFP-L3(0.881;***+PIVKA-II,P<0.001),and AFP+AFP-L3(0.759;***+PIVKA-II,P<0.001).Similar findings were obtained in the subgroup with early-stage NAFLD-HCC,as well as the non-cirrhotic ***:These data validated the better diagnostic ability of PIVKA-II than AFP or AFP-L3 alone for diagnosing any-stage HCC among patients with NAFLD,and the combination of AFP+PIVKA-II signifi-cantly improved the diagnostic accuracy of NAFLD-HCC.

The Sinongduo mining region includes two types of mineralizations:the epithermal and the carbonate-hosted PbZn-Ag *** being studied for many years,the ore formation process and genesis of the carbonate-hosted Pb-Zn-Ag deposits remain poorly *** Pb-Zn-Ag ore bodies occur as veins and are hosted by limestone and dolostone of the Permian Xiala *** sulfide mineralization substages have been identified at the Sinongduo carbonatehosted *** coupled with Cu,Co and Sn was incorporated into sphalerite as substitutions:2Zn^(2+)?Cu^(+)+In^(3+),(3n/2+1)Zn^(2+)?Co^(2+)+n In^(3+)or(2n+1)Zn^(2+)?Co^(2+)+n(Cu^(+)+In^(3+))(n>1)and 4Zn^(2+)?Sn2++2In^(3+).Sphalerite and pyrite in the mineralization stage displayδ^(34)S values in a narrow range of+5.7‰to+11.3‰,which are similar to those of Palaeocene igneous rocks,indicative of a magmatic source of *** present systematic carbon-hydrogen-oxygen isotope results that further support a magmatic source for the ore-forming fluids that were influenced by meteoric ***,the Pb isotope compositions of sulfide minerals in the Sinongduo carbonate-hosted deposit overlap with the values of coeval Linzizong volcanic rocks and are similar to those of Indian Ocean sediments,indicating upper crustal sources of *** conclude that the Sinongduo carbonate-hosted Pb-Zn-Ag deposit is a medium-to low-temperature magmatic-hydrothermal deposit related to Linzizong magmatism.

Ceramic fibers and whiskers have been used for modification of toughness because they increase fracture energy due to their high elastic modulus *** mechanism of this increase is well known to be pull-out,crack deflection and a bridging *** study focused on the increase in toughness,strength and thermal shock resistance when using mullite fibers in a gas filter for high *** green body uses the average 230μm particle diameter of SiC powders,which used as a skeletal material,the length to diameter ratio greater than 10 of the mullite fibers and the mixture of kaolin,feldspar and silica,which was used as a *** pore former be made up of graphite and active *** molding pressure is 3MPa,and sintering temperature is 1300℃.The mullite fiber reinforced SiC porous ceramic haslow filter pressure drop,30.36%porosity and 35.66 MPa flexural strength,which is higher than the SiC porous ceramic whitout mullite *** the flexural strength degradation was only 5.4%after thermal shock tests.

In this review,we discuss the electrochemical properties of Prussian blue(PB)for Na^(+)storage by combining structural engineering and electrolyte *** integrated experimental data and density functional theory(DFT)in sodium-ion battery(SIB)research to refine the atomic arrangements and crystal lattices and introduce substitutions and *** changes affect the lattice stability,intercalation,electronic and ionic conductivities,and electrochemical *** unraveled the intricate structure-electrochemical behavior relationship by combining experimental data with computational models,including first-principles *** holistic approach identified techniques for optimizing PB and Prussian blue analog(PBA)structu ral properties for *** also discuss the tuning of electrolytes by systematically adjusting their composition,concentration,and additives using a combination of molecular dynamics(MD)simulations and DFT *** review offers a comprehensive assessment of strategies for enhancing the electrochemical properties of PB and PBAs through structural engineering and electrolyte modifications,combining experimental insights with advanced computational simulations,and paving the way for next-generation energy storage systems.

Cerium dioxide has a comparatively lower Ce4+/Ce3+redox pair,which leaves abundant oxygen vacancies on oxide lattice,also making incorporation of foreign ion and subsequent applications feasible and *** this work,a series of cerium-yttrium mixed oxides were prepared by using polyvinylpyrrolidone as major template through sol-gel,which were further employed as catalyst for dehydration of aniline with formic acid into *** reveal that synthetic samples have a variety of morphologies including nanoparticle,microflower,and uniform *** monitoring of particle size,zeta potential,and ultravioletvisible(UV-Vis)of preparative solution indicate that selfassembly of polyvinylpyrrolidone and its subsequent reaction with metal ion determines sample *** catalytic dehydration,all samples show high dehydration efficiencies that are comparable to those from anhydrous Na2SO4 and combination of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide with 4-dimethylaminopyridine and dichloromethane shows better outputs than *** association with structural analysis,cerium looks more active than yttrium,while yttrium mainly plays as a structure-directing and *** micro-/nanofabrication of rare earth composites and their catalytic applications.

Our previous study reported the influences of different complexing agents on electroless nickel （EN） by examining the properties of the deposits. In the present work, the effects of four common-used complexing agents on EN deposition rate and the stability of solution pH values were examined, either with an acetic pH buffer agent or absent of them. It is indicated that the pH buffeting effect of them is dominative when the EN solution is lack of the pH buffer. Under this situation, the EN deposition rate increases with the concentration of complexing agents increasing. The EN deposition rate decreases with fin＇ther adding the complexing agent when the solution already has enough pH buffer capability. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy obtained during EN deposition illustrates that, in this case, the enhanced reaction resistance is the main reason for a lower deposition rate. However, the influence of polarization caused by mass transfer is not negligible at high complex ratio for sodium citrate and malic acid EN solutions.

Using hybrid density functional calculation,we study the atomic and electronic structures of p-type dopants,B,Al and Ga,in *** B,depending on the growth condition,it can occupy both Si and C *** contrast,Al and Ga on the C sites exhibit too high formation energy to exist in a significant *** 4H-SiC,there exist two types of Si sites in wurtzite-like and zincblende-like local coordination,*** calculations suggest that the dopant atoms have negligible preference occupying the two *** neutral charge state,all the dopants exhibit significant distortions from the structure in the negatively charged *** most cases,our calculations yield three distorted structures,in which the most stable one has the dopant atom displaced along its bond with one of the surrounding equatorial Si or C atoms,lowering the C_(3v) symmetry to C_(s) symmetry(i.e.,a mirror symmetry only).Among the three dopant elements,Al on Si sites exhibits overall the lowest formation energy and the shallowest acceptor ***,it is not a hydrogenic dopant with the acceptor level 0.12 eV above the valence band maximum based on calculation using a 400-atom *** corresponding defect state exhibits apparent localization along the[0001]direction,but it is relatively delocalized in the(0001)plane.

The work concerned the electrochemical behaviors of Y（Ⅲ） on W and Ni electrodes in molten LiCl-KCl salts by a series of electrochemical techniques. The electrochemical reaction of Y（Ⅲ） to Y（0） proceeded in a one-step reduction process with the exchange of three electrons, Y（Ⅲ）＋3e^–→Y（0）. Compared with the cyclic voltammogram and square wave voltammogram obtained on W electrode, the reduction potential of Y（Ⅲ） on Ni electrode was observed at less negative potential than the one of Y（Ⅲ） to give pure Y metal on W electrode, which revealed the occurrence of underpotential deposition of Y（Ⅲ） on Ni electrode. Electromotive force（emf） measurements were performed to calculate the relative partial molar Gibbs energies and activities of Y in Y-Ni alloys. The standard Gibbs energies of formation for different Y-Ni intermetallic compounds were also estimated. The different Y-Ni alloys were formed by potentiostatic electrolysis at different potentials and characterized by X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM）, and energy dispersive spectrometry（EDS）. It was found that four intermetallic compounds, YNi5, Y2Ni7, YNi3 and YNi2, were selectively produced by controlling applied potential.
