The Clinical Outcomes of In Vitro Fertilization/Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection Treatments in 43 Women with a History of Gestational Trophoblastic Disease

Background:To analyze the clinical outcomes of in vitro fertilization(IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection treatments in women with a history of gestational trophoblastic disease(GTD).Methods:This retrospective study included 43 patients with a history of GTD as the study group and 43 matched patients as the control *** patients in the study group were divided into two groups according to the therapy *** in Subgroup A(n=32)underwent uterine curettage treatment *** in Subgroup B(n=11)underwent uterine curettage combined with *** characteristics of ovarian stimulation and outcomes of embryos and pregnancy were ***:In the first cycle,there was a higher number of retrieved oocytes and normal fertilized oocytes in the control group than those in the study group(9.2 vs.6.2 and 6.0 vs.4.0,respectively;P0.05).There was no difference in the outcomes between Subgroup A and Subgroup *** was a significant difference in thickness of the endometrium between the control group and study group(10.9 mm vs.9.2 mm,respectively;P<0.05).The biochemical pregnancy rate and ongoing pregnancy rate in the control group were significantly higher than those in the study group(51.4%vs.31.7%and 37.8%vs.18.3%,respectively;P<0.05).In the study group,28(93.3%)patients had intrauterine adhesion(IUA)and 23(76.7%)patients used an intrauterine device(IUD),which were both significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05).In addition,the rate of IUA in second-look hysteroscopy was lower than that in the first surgery in the study group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Patients with a history of GTD can present with a similar normal fertilization rate and number of viable ***,patients with a history of GTD may have a thinner endometrium and lo

In Beyond the Fifth Generation(B5G)heterogeneous edge networks,numerous users are multiplexed on a channel or served on the same frequency resource block,in which case the transmitter applies coding and the receiver uses interference ***,uncoordinated radio resource allocation can reduce system throughput and lead to user inequity,for this reason,in this paper,channel allocation and power allocation problems are formulated to maximize the system sum rate and minimum user achievable *** the construction model is non-convex and the response variables are high-dimensional,a distributed Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)framework called distributed Proximal Policy Optimization(PPO)is proposed to allocate or assign ***,several simulated agents are trained in a heterogeneous environment to find robust behaviors that perform well in channel assignment and power ***,agents in the collection stage slow down,which hinders the learning of other ***,a preemption strategy is further proposed in this paper to optimize the distributed PPO,form DP-PPO and successfully mitigate the straggler *** experimental results show that our mechanism named DP-PPO improves the performance over other DRL methods.

A deoxidation thermodynamic model for 304 stainless steel considering multiple-components coupled reactions

A thermodynamic model for predicting the equilibrium oxygens of 304 stainless steel was developed based on the theory of slag-steel equilibrium,the law of mass conservation,and the ion and molecule coexistence *** the developed model,the Fe-Cr-Mn-Si-Al-S-O-melts reaction system and CaO-MgO-CaF_(2)-FeO-MnO-Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-Cr2O_(3)slags were *** oxygen contents calculated by the model are in good agreement with experimental results and reference *** equilibrium oxygen contents in 304 stainless steel mainly decrease with increasing binary basicity(w(CaO)/w(SiO_(2)),where w(i)is the mass percentage of component i)and decreasing *** binary basicity at 2.0 while maintaining temperatures lower than 1823 K will keep the oxygen contents in the 304 stainless steel lower than 15×10^(-6).The equilibrium oxygen contents may also be decreased with increasing content of MgO in slags,which is more significant at lower binary ***,a small amount of FeO,MnO,and Al_(2)O_(3)(about 0-2.5 wt.%)in slags has little effect on equilibrium oxygen ***,it is found that the[C]-[O]reaction may occur during refining process but will not significantly affect the equilibrium oxygen contents.

Spherical Confinement Generates Entropic Force to Accelerate Polymer Chain Detachment

To understand the dynamic process of polymer detachment, it is necessary to determine the mean detachment time of a single breakable link, which is modeled as a spring. Normally, this time can be viewed as the escape of a Brownian particle from the potential well of the spring. However, as the free dangling length of the polymer chain increases, the conformational entropy of the chain is affected by geometric confinement. It means that the wall exerts a repulsive force on the chain, resulting in accelerated link detachment from a macroscopic perspective. In this work, we investigate the effect of entropy on the detachment rate in the case where the substrate is spherical. We demonstrate that spherical confinement accelerates chain detachment both inside and outside the sphere. An analytical expression for the mean detachment time of breakable links is given, which includes an additional pre-factor that is related to the partition function. Additionally, we analyze the expressions for entropic forces inside the sphere, outside the sphere, and on a flat wall, comparing their magnitudes to explain the difference in mean detachment time.

Clinical outcomes of using three gonadatropins and medroxyprogestrone acetate(MPA) during ovarian stimulation in normal ovulatory women undergoing IVF/ICSI treatments

Objective To compare the clinical characteristics in a gonadotropin （Gn） and medroxyprogestrone acetate （MPA） protocol using three types of Gn in normal ovulatory women undergoing IVF/ICSI treatments. Methods A total of 258 normal ovulatory IVF/ICSI patients undergoing ovarian stimulation in a Gn and MPA protocol were analyzed in this retrospective study and allocated into three groups according to the Gn used： group A, hMG-A （brand name： Fengyuan, n=105）; group B, hMG-B （brand name： Lebaode, n=90）; group C： u-FSH （brand name： Lishenbao, n=63）. The hormone profile, embryological characteristics, and the pregnant results after frozen-thawed embryo transfer （FET） were compared among the three groups. Results There was no significant difference in the number of oocytes retrieved among the three groups （12.1± 6.9 vs 12.1±5.6 vs 13.1 ±8.8, P〉0.05）. Other indicators such as the number of mature oocyte, fertilization, cleavage and viable embryo were similar （P〉0.05）. No premature LH surges were detected, with a range of 0.04-7.38 IU/L. No differences were found in the clinical pregnancy rate per transfer （43.48% vs 37.93% vs 40. 74%, P〉0.05） and the implantation rate （34.88% vs 22.22% vs 26.42%, P〉O.05）. Conclusion MPA is an effective oral alternative for the prevention of premature LH surges. Progestin-primed ovarian stimulation （PPOS） is a novel regimen of ovarian stimulation in combination with embryo cryopreservation, in which the two types of hMG are as effective as u-FSH.

Correlations of Sperm Mitochondrial Membrane Potential with Semen Parameters and Male Obesity

Background:To investigate the correlations of sperm mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP)with semen parameters and body mass index(BMI)in males with ***:Semen samples were obtained by masturbation after 3-7 days of sexual abstinence from males who visited semen collect room of Shanghai Ninth People’s *** semen analyses were performed by computer-aided sperm analysis(CASA),and sperm morphology was analyzed by modified Papanicolaou *** were stained by JC-1 to evaluate MMP through flow ***:Sperm MMP of asthenozoospermia group(41.24%±9.71%)was significantly lower than that in control group(56.68%±11.13%).MMP was negatively correlated with BMI(r=−0.25,P<0.01),but positively correlated with total sperm motility(r=0.63,P<0.01),motility of progressive sperm(r=0.64,P<0.01),and normal sperm morphology rate(r=0.37,P<0.01).In addition,MMP showed no significant correlations with age,volume of semen,sperm concentration,sperm count,and other ***:Sperm MMP is an important index in the evaluation of sperm function,and detection of MMP may provide references for the diagnosis and treatment of male infertility.

A Compact UHF Antenna Based on Hilbert Fractal Elements and a Serpentine Arrangement for Detecting Partial Discharg

Efforts to protect electric power systems from faults have commonly relied on the use of ultra-high frequency(UHF)antennas for detecting partial discharge(PD)as a common precursor to ***,the effectiveness of existing UHF antennas suffers from a number of challenges such as limited bandwidth,relatively large physical size,and low detection *** present study addresses these issues by proposing a compact microstrip patch antenna with fixed dimensions of 100 mm×100 mm×1.6 *** results of computations yield an optimized antenna design consisting of 2nd-order Hilbert fractal units positioned within a four-layer serpentine arrangement with a fractal unit connection distance of 3.0 ***,the optimized antenna design achieves a detection bandwidth for which the voltage standing wave ratio is less than 2 that is approximately 97.3%of the UHF frequency range(0.3–3 GHz).Finally,a prototype antenna is fabricated using standard printed circuit board technology,and the results of experiments demonstrate that the proposed antenna is capable of detecting PD signals at a distance of 8 m from the discharge source.

A low-profile metamaterial absorber with ultrawideband reflectionless and wide-angular stability
