Glycosides of Cistanche（GC）is a preparation used extensively for its neuroprotective effect against neurological diseases,but its mechanisms of action remains incompletely ***,we established a bilateral common carotid artery occlusion model of vascular dementia in rats and injected the model rats with a suspension of GC（10 mg/kg/day,intraperitoneally）for 14 consecutive *** showed that GC significantly reduced p-tau and amyloid beta（Aβ）immunoreactivity in the hippocampus of the model *** analysis demonstrated upregulation of mitochondrial precursor protein and downregulation of keratin type II cytoskeletal6A after GC treatment compared with model rats that had received *** blot assay confirmed these *** results suggest that the neuroprotective effect of GC in vascular dementia occurs via the promotion of neuronal cytoskeleton regeneration.

Nucleotide-binding leucine-rich-repeat(NLR)genes comprise the largest family of plant disease-resis-tance *** NLR genes are phylogenetically divided into the TNL,CNL,and RNL *** copy numbers and subclass composition vary tremendously across angiosperm ***,the evolutionary associations between genomic NLR content and ecological adaptation,or between NLR content and signal transduction components,are poorly characterized because of limited genome *** this study,we established an angiosperm NLR atlas(ANNA,https://***/ANNA/)that includes NLR genes from over 300 angiosperm *** ANNA,we revealed that NLR copy numbers differ up to 66-fold among closely related species owing to rapid gene loss and ***,NLR contraction was associated with adaptations to aquatic,parasitic,and carnivorous *** convergent NLR reduction in aquatic plants resembles the lack of NLR expansion during the long-term evolution of green algae before the colonization of land.A co-evolutionary pattern between NLR subclasses and plant immune pathway components was also identified,suggesting that immune pathway deficiencies may drive TNL ***,we identified a conserved TNL lineage that may function independently of the EDS1-SAG101-NRG1 ***,these findings provide new insights into the evolution of NLR genes in the context of ecological adaptation and genome content variation.

Plant genomes harbor dozens to hundreds of nucleotide-binding site-leucine-rich repeat （NBS-LRR） genes; however, the long-term evolutionary history of these resistance genes has not been fully understood, This study focuses on five Brassicaceae genomes and the Carica papaya genome to explore changes in NBS-LRR genes that have taken place in this Rosid II lineage during the past 72 million years. Various numbers of NBS-LRR genes were identified from Arabidopsis lyrata （198）, A. thaliana （165）, Brassica rapa （204）, Capsella rubella （127）, Thellungiella salsuginea （88）, and C. papaya （51）. In each genome, the identified NBS-LRR genes were found to be unevenly distributed among chromosomes and most of them were clustered together. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that, before and after Brassicaceae speciation events, both toll/interleukin-1 receptor-NBS-LRR （TNL） genes and non-toll/interleukin-1 receptor-NBS-LRR （nTNL） genes exhibited a pattern of first expansion and then contraction, suggesting that both subclasses of NBS-LRR genes were responding to pathogen pressures synchronically. Further, by examining the gain/loss of TNL and nTNL genes at different evolutionary nodes, this study revealed that both events often occurred more drastically in TNL genes. Finally, the phylogeny of nTNL genes suggested that this NBS-LRR subclass is composed of two separate ancient gene types： RPW8-NBS-LRR and Coiled-coiI-N BS-LRR.

Objective:To study the change of TIZ expression in epithelial ovarian cancer ***:HO8910 cells were transinfected with siRNA to inhibit the expression of ***3.1-TIZ vectors were combined to increase the TIZ expression *** cell viabilily,colony forming efficiency and cycle distribution of HO8910,HO8910/NC,HO8910/pcDNA3.1-NC,HO8910/ TIZ-573 and HO8910/pcDNA3.l-TIZ were compared,and the invasion rate,migration rate and adhesion rate between 5 groups of cells were ***:Compared with those of HO8910,HO8910/NC and HO8910/pcDNA3.1-NC,the cell viability,colony forming efficiency and cell cycle distribution of HO8910/ TIZ-573 were increased,while the indexes of HO8910/pcDNA3.1-NC were decreased with statistical significant difference(P0.05).Conclusions:The expression of TIZ can inhibit the proliferation of epithelial ovarian cancer cells.

Aim:To study the effects of osthole on hyperlipidemic fatty liver and investigatethe possible ***:A rat model with hyperlipidemic fatty liverwas successfully established by feeding fatty milk for 6 *** experimentalrats were then treated with 5-20 mg/kg osthole for 6 *** mouse hyperlipi-demic model was induced by feeding fatty milk when they were treated with 10-20mg/kg osthole for 3 ***:After treatment with osthole,the levels of ratserum total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG)and low density lipoprotein-choles-terol significantly decreased as compared with the fatty liver model group(P<0.05or P<0.01).Hepatic weight and its coefficient,the hepatic tissue contents of TC,TG,and malondialdehyde,also significantly decreased(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Infatty milk-induced hyperlipidemic mice,the post-heparin plasma activities of lipo-protein lipase(LPL),hepatic lipase(HL),and total lipase(TL)significantlyincreased after treatment with 10-20 mg/kg osthole for 3 weeks(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Importantly,the histological evaluation of rat liver demonstrated that ostholedramatically decreased lipid accumulation(P<0.01).Conclusion:Osthole wasfound to have therapeutic effects on fatty milk-induced rat fatty liver;the mecha-nisms might be associated with its anti-oxidation and the elevation of the activi-ties of LPL and HL.

AIM: To observe the relationship between the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), microvascular density (MVD) and the pathological characteristics of esophageal and gastric ***: S-P immunohistochemical staining was used to investigate the expression of VEGF in all the *** antibody against factor VIII-related antigen was used to display vascular endothelial cells, and MVD was examined by counting the factor VIII-positive vascular endothelial ***: The positive rates of VEGF expression in esophageal carcinoma and gastric carcinoma were 81.36 %and 67.5 % respectively, and the MVD averaged 41.81±8.44and 34.36±9.67 respectively, which were higher than those in benign diseases. The expression of VEGF and MVD were closely correlated with the degree of differentiation, lymphatic metastasis, but not related to depth of cancer invasion. In early stage gastric carcinoma, the rate of expression of VEGF and MVD was lower than that in progressive gastric carcinomas. CONCLUSION: The expression of VEGF is correlated with tumor angiogenesis, and VEGF plays an important role in new blood vessels formation, the expression of VEGF and MVD play an important role in tumor growth and *** and the expression of VEGF may be two important indexes for patients′ prognosis.

Protein A immunoadsorption therapy in the highly sensitized kidney transplant candidates

Background Sensitization in transplant candidates increases risk of irreversible immunologic injury of graft in the early period postoperatively. Elimination of anti-human leukocyte antigen （HLA） antibodies using protein A immunoadsorption （IA） might benefit these *** Protein A IA was used in 21 patients with high panel reactive antibody （PRA）. The patients had IA 1-6 times （median 5 times） with the interval period was 2-5 days （median 2.5 days）.Results Total 67 IA procedures were carried out smoothly in all patients. IA treatment reduced PRA I （pre （31.4±3.8）% vs. post （24.4±3.4）%, P 〈0.01） and II （pre （37.1±4.3）% vs. post （34.1±3.9）%, P 〈0.01）. However, PRA did not change in some patients after the treatment. The serum immunoglobulin （IgG, IgM and IgA） and complement C3, C4 level were decreased significantly. Hemoglobin and albumin levels were slightly decreased associated with IA procedures. Flu-like symptoms were observed in a few of cases during the procedure but generally mild and *** Protein A IA is capable to efficiently remove serum immunoglobulin and complement, reduce HLA class I and class II PRA in high sensitized transplant candidates, which is likely to benefit the kidney transplantation in these patients.

INTRODUCTIONChronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a serious problem because of its world wide distribution and possible adverse sequelae ,such as cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma .The World Health Organization estimates that HBV has infected mord than 350 million people worldwide ,and up to 20% of them will become chromic carricrs and will be at significant risk for cirrhosis and HCC .The ultimate goal of the therapy for chronic hepatitis B is to prevent progression to cirrhosis and to prevent development of HCC.
