Flow stress model considering the transformation-induced plasticity effect and the inelastic strain recovery behavior

On the basis of continuum mechanics and the Mori-Tanaka mean field theory, a micro-mechanical flow stress model that considered both the transformation-induced plasticity （TRIP） effect and the inelastic strain recovery behavior of TRIP multiphase steels was presented. The relation between the volume fraction of constituent phases and plastic strain was introduced to characterize the transformation-induced plasticity effect of TRIP steels. Loading-unloading-reloading uniaxial tension tests of TRIP600 steel were carried out and the strain recovery behavior after unloading was analyzed. From the experimental data, an empirical elastic modulus expression is extracted to characterize the inelastic strain recovery. A comparison of the predicted flow stress with the experimental data shows a good agreement. The mechanism of the transformation-induced plasticity effect and the inelastic recovery effect acting on the flow stress is also discussed in detail.

Green foxtail （Setaria viridis L.） is a common weed species in temperate regions. Research on the effect of delayed reproduction on the phenotypic plasticity and regularity of the vegetative and reproductive growth is of vital significance for understanding population regulation and control of the weed in the growing season. Green foxtail seeds were sown every 10 days from 25 June to 24 August of 2004. The growth and production metrics were measured via harvesting tufts and statistical analysis was carried out. The results showed that the reproductive tillers, seed number, seed biomass and one thousand-seed weight of plants at the first sowing （25 June） approximately increased 28.8, 7 827.0, 1 104,0 and 12.3 times compared with that at the last sowing （24 August）, respectively. Total tillers, reproductive tillers and height increased linearly as the reproductive period delayed, however, biomass increased exponentially. Quadratic equations best explained the relationships between the delayed reproductive period and seed number, inflorescence length, one thousand-seed weight, seed biomass. Based on the quantity and quality of seed production, weeding young seedlings emerging before July can be the most effective weed-control strategy in the Songnen Plain.

Giant cell arteritis(GCA)is a commonly occurring large vacuities characterized by angiopathy of medium and large-sized *** granulomatous formation plays an important role in the pathogenesis of *** of T cell lineages and signaling pathways in GCA have revealed the essential role of T cells in the pathology of GCA.T cells are the dominant population present in GCA ***4+T cell subtypes that are present include Th1,Th2,Th9,Th17,follicular helper T(Tfh)cells,and regulatory T(Treg)***8 T cells can primarily differentiate into cytotoxic CD8+T lymphocytes and Treg *** instrumental part of GCA is the interplay between dendritic cells,macrophages and endothelial cells,which can result in the vascular injury and the characteristics granulomatous infiltrates *** the inflammatory loop of GCA,several signaling pathways have been reported to play an essential role in recruiting,activating and differentiating T cells,including T-cell receptor(TCR)signaling,vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)-Jagged-Notch signaling and the Janus kinase and signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT)pathway(JAK-STAT)*** this review,we have focused on the role of T cells and their potential signaling mechanism(s)that are involved in the pathogenesis of GCA.A better understanding of the role of T cells mediated complicated orchestration during the homeostasis and the changes could possibly favor developments of novel treatment strategies against immunological disorders associated with GCA.

AIM:To evaluate the effectiveness of knock-down of heat shock protein 47(HSP47)on conjunctival bleb scarring in a rat model and its possible ***:Male Sprague–Dawley rats were used for glaucoma filtration surgery(GFS)and were treated with either phosphate buffered solution,shControl,mitomycin C,or sh-HSP47 using a microsyringe immediately after *** morphology of filtering blebs was observed *** levels of HSP47 were analyzed at 2,5,8,and 11d after GFS via real‑time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and Western *** silencing effect of HSP47,the expression of collagen I and III,and the potential signaling pathways of HSP47 during scarification were explored 11d post *** protein levels of transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1),phospho-Smad2(pSmad2),phospho-Smad3(p-Smad3),and phospho-p38(p-p38)were also analyzed using Western ***:Sh-HSP47 treatment significantly prolonged the functional filtration bleb *** levels of HSP47 were increased significantly at 5,8,and 11d postoperatively compared to the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01,and P<0.001).The levels of HSP47 protein at day 11 postoperatively were significantly down-regulated after HSP47 silencing using sh-HSP47 adenovirus transfection(P<0.01).Expression levels of collagen I and III within the blebs were significantly reduced in the absence of HSP47(P<0.01).Moreover,the protein levels of TGF-β1,p-Smad2/3,and p-p38 were dramatically inhibited after treatment with sh-HSP47(P<0.01).CONCLUSION:The inhibitory effects of HSP47 knockdown on scarring after GFS have the potential to be an efficacious therapeutic option for the treatment of conjunctival bleb scarring.

Well-ordered aluminosilicates(MAs)were prepared by in-situ assembly of pre-crystallized units of zeolite Y precursors at a commercial scale,and applied in an industrial fluid catalytic cracking unit for the first *** with incumbent equilibrium catalyst,the surface area of trial equilibrium catalysts(30%inventory ratio)increased from 110 m^(2)g^(-1)to 120m^(2)g^(-1).Moreover,a significant increase of the mesoporous surfaceareaof trial equlibrium catalysts(30%inventoryrati)from 33 m g/to 40magi(22%increase).Furthermore,the equilibrium catalyst that contain 80%LPC-65 yields significantly lower heavy oil(0.23%)and higher total liquids(0.53%)compared with *** industrial results demonstrated excellent hydrothermal stability and superior catalytic cracking properties,showing the promising futurein the industrial units.

A sensitive method for the determination of ephedrine and codeine in human urine by capillary electrophoresis （CE） was described. In order to improve the sensitivity, two online concentration techniques including cation-selective exhaustive injection （CSEI） and sweeping micellar electrokinetic chromatography （sweeping-MEKC） were used. Under the optimum conditions, the detection limits （S/N = 3） were 0.10 μg/L for ephedrine and 0.80 μg/L for codeine. This method was successfully applied to real urine sample analysis.

Background Intubating laryngeal mask airway （ILMA） offers a new approach for orotracheal intubation and is expected to produce less cardiovascular stress responses. However, the available studies provide inconsistent results. The purpose of this study was to identify whether there is a clinically relevant difference in hemodynamic responses to orotracheal intubation by using ILMA and direct laryngoscope （DLS）. Methods A total of 53 adult patients, ASA physical status I-II, scheduled for elective plastic surgery under general anesthesia requiring the orotracheal intubation, were randomly allocated to either DLS or ILMA groups. After a standard intravenous anesthesia induction, orotracheal intubation was performed. Noninvasive blood pressure and heart rate were recorded before （baseline values） and after anesthesia induction （post-induction values）, at intubation and every minute for the first 5 minutes after intubation. The data were analyzed using Chisquare test, paired and unpaired Student＇s t test, and repeated-measures analysis of variance as appropriate. Results The mean intubation time in the ILMA group was longer than that in the DLS group （P〈0.05）. The blood pressure and heart rate increased significantly after intubation in the two groups compared to the postinduction values （P〈0.05）, but the maximum value of blood pressure during the observation did not exceed the baseline value, while the maximum value of heart rate was higher than the baseline （P〈0.05）. During the observation, there were no significant differences in blood pressure and heart rate among each time point and in the maximum values between the two groups. Conclusions Orotracheal intubations by using ILMA and DLS produce similar hemodynamic response. ILMA has no advantage in attenuating the hemodynamic responses to orotracheal intubation compared with DLS.

In modern VLSI technology, hundreds of thousands of arithmetic units fit on a 1cm^2 chip. The challenge is supplying them with instructions and data. Stream architecture is able to solve the problem well. However, the applications suited for typical stream architecture are limited. This paper presents the definition of regular stream and irregular stream, and then describes MASA （Multiple-morphs Adaptive Stream Architecture） prototype system which supports different execution models according to applications＇ stream characteristics. This paper first discusses MASA architecture and stream model, and then explores the features and advantages of MASA through mapping stream applications to hardware. Finally MASA is evaluated by ten benchmarks. The result is encouraging.
