Comparison of biological behavior of lacrimal gland adenoid cystic carcinoma with high-grade transformation cells

AIM:To evaluate the differences between human lacrimal gland adenoid cystic carcinoma with high-grade transformation(LACC-HGT)primar y cells cultured by high-grade transformation tissue and non-high-grade transformation(non-HGT)primary cells cultured by non-highgrade transformation tissue in proliferation,metastasis,drug susceptibility,and ***:LACC-HGT primary cells were established by tissue block culture,and the 4^(th)to 10^(th)generation primary cells were selected as research *** cells were preliminarily identified by immunofluorescent *** differences between non-HGT and LACC-HGT primary cells in terms of proliferation,metastasis,and drug susceptibility were compared by cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)assay,wound healing,and drug sensitivity *** expressed genes were screened using mRNA *** expression was analyzed using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR).RESULTS:LACC-HGT primary cells were successfully cultured by tissue block *** staining results showed that cytokeratin(CK)and CK7 expression levels were positive in LACC-HGT primary ***-8 results showed that the proliferation ability of LACCHGT cells was significantly higher than that of non-HGT *** healing experiment showed that the migration ability of LACC-HGT cells was significantly higher than that of non-HGT ***-HGT cells were also less sensitive to cisplatin and paclitaxel than non-HGT *** with non-HGT cells,9566 differentially expressed genes were found in LACC-HGT primary cells,of which 5162 were upregulated and 4404 were *** expression of N-acetylneuraminate pyruvate lyase(NPL),MARVEL domain containing 3(MARVELD3),syntabulin(SYBU),and allograft inflammatory factor 1(AIF1)was higher in LACCHGT cells than in non-HGT cells,whereas that of periostin(POSTN)was ***:LACC-HGT primary cells have faster proliferation,stronger migration ability,and poorer sens

Epigenetic control on transcription of vernalization genes and whole-genome gene expression profile induced by vernalization in common wheat

Vernalization is necessary for winter wheat to ***,it is unclear whether vernalization is also required for spring wheat,which is frequently sown in fall,and what molecular mechanisms underlie the vernalization response in wheat *** this study,we examined the molecular mechanisms that regulate vernalization response in winter and spring wheat *** this purpose,we determined how major vernalization genes(VRN1,VRN2,and VRN3)respond to vernalization in these varieties and whether modifications to histones play a role in changes in gene *** also identified genes that are differentially regulated in response to vernalization in winter and spring wheat *** found that in winter wheat,but not in spring wheat,VRN1 expression decreases when returned to warm temperature following *** finding may be associated with differences between spring and winter wheat in the levels of tri-methylation of lysine 27 on histone H3(H3K27me3)and tri-methylation of lysine 4 on histone H3(H3K4me3)at the VRN1 *** of winter wheat transcriptomes before and after vernalization revealed that vernalization influences the expression of several genes,including those involved in leucine catabolism,cysteine biosynthesis,and flavonoid *** findings provide new candidates for further study on the mechanism of vernalization regulation in wheat.

To the Editor:Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)is a condition that severely endangers human *** 2018,Wang et al^([1])reported that there are approximately 100 million patients with COPD in China,with a 13.7%prevalence in people aged over 40 *** disease severity,frequency of exacerbations,and comorbidities,which are commonly(30–57%)observed in patients with COPD,are the three most crucial elements affecting the economic and societal consequences of COPD.^([2])Hospitalizations for exacerbations are the main contributors to health care *** reduce the clinical and financial burden of COPD,interventions are needed to slow the disease course,avoid exacerbations,and reduce comorbidities,such as approaches for improving the prognosis and treatment efficacy in COPD.

Simple preparation of C(CS)/g-C_(3)N_(4)/Co carbon aerogel and its catalytic performance for ammonium perchlorate

Biomass chitosan(CS)was used as a template,graphitic phase carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))with high nitrogen content and certain catalytic activity was used as a dopant,and nano-transition metal cobalt(Co)was used as a catalytic center *** carbon aerogel(C(CS)/g-C_(3)N_(4)/Co)with a three-dimensional network-like structure was prepared by assembling the three materials through experimental operations such as freeze-drying and high-temperature *** was demonstrated by scanning and transmission characterization that the CS in the carbon aerogel could provide more active sites for the cobalt nanoparticles,and the doping of graphite-phase carbon nitride as a template dispersed the cobalt nanoparticles and changed the conductivity of the *** investigate the catalytic effect of carbon aerogel on ammonium perchlorate(AP),it was investigated by differential thermal analyzer and TG thermal *** carbon aerogel was very effective in catalyzing AP,and the 10 wt% content of the catalyst reduced the AP pyrolysis peak from 703.9 to 595.5 *** to further investigate the synergistic effect of the three materials,further carbon aerogels such as C(CS)/Co,g-C_(3)N_(4)/Co were prepared and applied to catalyze AP,and the same ratio reduced the AP pyrolysis peak by 98.1℃ and 97.7℃.This result indicates a synergistic effect of the assembly of the three materials.

High-order Soliton Matrix for the Third-order Flow Equation of the Gerdjikov-Ivanov Hierarchy Through the Riemann-Hilbert Method

The Gerdjikov-Ivanov(GI)hierarchy is derived via recursion operator,in this article,we mainly investigate the third-order flow GI *** the framework of the Riemann-Hilbert method,the soliton matrices of the third-order flow GI equation with simple zeros and elementary high-order zeros of Riemann-Hilbert problem are constructed through the standard dressing *** advantage of this result,some properties and asymptotic analysis of single soliton solution and two soliton solution are discussed,and the simple elastic interaction of two soliton are *** with soliton solution of the classical second-order flow,we find that the higher-order dispersion term affects the propagation velocity,propagation direction and amplitude of the ***,by means of a certain limit technique,the high-order soliton solution matrix for the third-order flow GI equation is derived.

Globally,grassland degradation is an acute ecological *** alpine grassland on the Tibetan Plateau,increased densities of various small mammals in degraded grassland are assumed to intensify the degradation process and these mammals are subject to lethal ***,whether the negative impact of small mammals is solely a result of population size or also a result of activity and behavior has not been *** this study,we use plateau pika as a model to compare population size,core area of colony,and the number of burrow entrances and latrines between lightly and severely degraded *** test whether the alleged contribution of pika to grassland degradation is a result of increased population size or increased burrowing activities of individuals in response to lower food *** found that grassland degradation resulted in lower plant species richness,plant height,and ***,the overall population size of pika was not significantly affected by location in lightly and severely degraded ***,pika core areas in severely grassland degradation were significantly larger and had significantly higher densities of burrows and *** study provides convincing evidence that habitat-induced changes in the behavior of small,burrowing mammals,such as pika,can exacerbate grassland *** finding has significant implications for managing small mammals and restoring degraded grassland ecosystems.

Automated screening of primary cell-based aptamers for targeting and therapy of pancreatic cancer

Although it has been developed for many years, nucleic acid aptamer screening technology still fails to be widely used, a considerable part of it is due to the variability of tumor cell morphology, which leads to the use of immortalized cell lines in the laboratory to screen nucleic acid aptamers for recognition ability of tumor cells in the diseased *** address this, primary cells that can be stably passaged were isolated and extracted from spontaneous tumors of genetically engineered pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma model mice in this ***, an automated screening instrument for nucleic acid aptamers developed autonomously by our group was used to perform efficient aptamer screening using a limited number of cells, and the obtained nucleic acid aptamers were affinity verified at the cellular ***, to answer the question of the cell growth environment difference on the recognition ability of nucleic acid aptamers, we verified its targeting ability to tumors in vivo on a nude mice xenograft tumor model, and further used a common antitumor drug doxorubicin combined with nucleic acid aptamers to verify the drug loading ability of this aptamer combined with the targeting therapeutic ability.

Kinetic model of vibration screening for granular materials based on biological neural network

The kinetic model is the theoretical basis for optimizing the structure and operation performance of vibration screening *** this paper,a biological neurodynamic equation and neural connections were established according to the motion and interaction properties of the material under vibration *** material feeding to the screen and the material passing through apertures were considered as excitatory and inhibitory inputs,respectively,and the generated stable neural activity landscape was used to describe the material distribution on the 2D screen *** dynamic process of material vibration screening was simulated using discrete element method(DEM).By comparing the similarity between the material distribution established using biological neural network(BNN)and that obtained using DEM simulation,the optimum coefficients of BNN model under a certain screening parameter were determined,that is,one relationship between the BNN model coefficients and the screening operation parameters was *** screening parameters were randomly selected,and the corresponding relationships were established as a ***,with straw/grain ratio,aperture diameter,inclination angle,vibration strength in normal and tangential directions as inputs,five independent adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems(ANFIS)were established to predict the optimum BNN model coefficients,*** training results indicated that ANFIS models had good stability and *** flexibility and adaptability of the proposed BNN method was demonstrated by modeling material distribution under complex feeding conditions such as multiple regions and non-uniform rate.
