Assessment on wetland values is being payed more and more attention by researchers, administrators and public. This question is related to human’s sustainable development in biosphere. This article analyses the commonweal values of wetlands and establishes an index system by Analytical Hierarchy Process, then assigns quantitatively the system through calculating matrix eigenvalue and characteristic vector, at last, sets up an integral way of commonweal value assessment .This paper takes Zhalong Wetland and Xianghai Wetland as study cases , the assessment results show that the both wetlands belong to the first grade importance protective wetland, which validates the method’s practicability , scientific nature and rationality.

Poly（lactide-co-glycolide）-poly（ethylene glycol）-poly（lactide-co-glycolide）（PLGA-PEG-PLGA） triblock copolymer was synthesized through the ring-opening polymerization of LA and GA with PEG as macroinitiator and stannous octoate as catalyst. The amphiphilic copolymer self-assembled into micelles in aqueous solutions, and formed hydrogels as the increase of temperature at relatively high concentrations（〉 15 wt%）. The favorable degradability of the hydrogel was confirmed by in vitro and in vivo degradation experiments. The good cellular and tissular compatibilities of the thermogel were demonstrated. The excellent adhesion and proliferation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells endowed PLGA-PEGPLGA thermogelling hydrogel with fascinating prospect for cartilage tissue engineering.

It was found that the oxovanadium(V) complex of triethanolamine (TEA) exhibits catalytic activity to the oxidative cleavage of catechols. On the other hand. the vanadyl nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) complex is inactive. but leads to the formation of stable ternary complex. Research on Optimal Design of the Transmission Mechanism of a Pressure Meter

The actuating mechanism of a manometer is to magnify and transform the small displacement generated by elastic components, and then the pressure value is indicated by the deflection angle of the pointer. The error between the indicated and actual pressure value can be large without giving sufficient consideration to the displacement of the elastic component and the inherent non-linearity of a actuating mechanism in its traditional design. In this paper, in order to increase the accuracy and rationality of transmission, the elastic component and transmission non-linearity is fitted and the mathematical models are constructed based on centre displacement of elastic instru- ment components. An optimum program is compiled by MATIABS. O, the optimal parameters to compensate the non- linear displacement of a crank link in two groups to spring is obtained. The error analysis of the manometer shows that it is an efficient method to reduce the errors caused by the elastic components and the non-liner characteristic of actuating a mechanism through the optimized design.

Hypoxic preconditioning activates endogenous mechanisms that protect against cerebral isch- emic and hypoxic injury. To better understand these protective mechanisms, adult rats were housed in a hypoxic environment （8% 02/92% N2） for 3 hours, and then in a normal oxygen environment for 12 hours. Their cerebrospinal fluid was obtained to culture cortical neurons from newborn rats for 1 day, and then the neurons were exposed to oxygen-glucose deprivation for 1.5 hours. The cerebrospinal fluid from rats subjected to hypoxic preconditioning reduced oxygen-glucose deprivation-induced injury, increased survival rate, upregulated Bcl-2 expression and downregulated Bax expression in the cultured cortical neurons, compared with control. These results indicate that cerebrospinal fluid from rats given hypoxic preconditioning protects against oxygen-glucose deprivation-induced injury by affecting apoptosis-related protein expres- sion in neurons from newborn rats.

Two-stage urethroplasty is a better choice for proximal hypospadias with severe chordee after urethral plate transection： a single-center experience

It is still debatable whether single- or two-stage urethroplasty is a more suitable technique for treating hypospadias with severe chordee after urethral plate transection. This retrospective study evaluated these two techniques. A total of 66 patients of proximal hypospadias with severe chordee were divided into two groups according to the techniques they underwent： 32 and 34 patients underwent single-stage （Duckett） or two-stage urethroplasty, respectively. Median ages at presentation were 7.5 years and 11.0 years in single-stage and two-stage repair groups, respectively. Median follow-ups were 28.5 months （20-60 months） and 35 months （18-60 months） in the single-stage and two-stage groups, respectively. The meatus of the neourethra was located at the top of the glans in all patients. No recurrence of chordee was found during follow-up, and all patients or parents were satisfied with the penile length and appearance. Complications were encountered in eight patients in both groups, with no statistically significant differences between the two techniques. The late complication rate of stricture was higher after the single-stage procedure （18.75% vs 0%）. The complication rate after single-stage repairs was significantly lower in the prepubescent subgroup （10.52%） than in the postpubescent cohort （46.15%）. These results indicate that the urethral plate transection effectively corrects severe chordee associated with proximal hypospadias during the intermediate follow-up period. Considering the higher rate of stricture after single-stage urethroplasty, two-stage urethroplasty is recommended for proximal hypospadias with severe chordee after urethral plate transection.

Poor adherence to standard protocols of blood pressure(BP)measurement in routine clinical practice leads to higher readings than“research-quality”*** this phenomenon exists in periodic health examinations was *** aimed to explore the concordance between BP measurements in periodic health examinations and those measured following a standard measurement *** used data from the Kailuan Study,an ongoing longitudinal cohort study in China,of which participants received biennial health examinations in health management *** addition,BPs were measured following standard protocols in a workplace-based hypertension management program nested in the Kailuan *** compared BP readings of the same person between the two settings using generalized linear mixed-effects models.A total of 3988 men(the mean age was 44.9 years)had at least two BP measurements both in health examinations and management program with a time interval between the two settings that less than 90 *** mean systolic blood pressures(SBP)and diastolic blood pressures(DBP)in health examinations were 4.2(95%CI 3.9–4.5)mm Hg and 3.3(95%CI 3.1–3.5)mm Hg higher than those in the management program,***–Altman analyses showed the wide agreement inter-vals ranging from-27.7-to 36.5-mm Hg for SBP and-18.3-to 24.7-mm Hg for *** conclusion,BP measurements in periodic health examinations were generally higher than BPs measured following a standard *** findings highlight the importance of standard BP measurement to avoid overestimation of hypertension prevalence and treatment initiation.

The organotypic retinal explant culture has been established for more than a decade and offers a range of unique advantages compared with in vivo experiments and cell ***,the lack of systematic and continuous comparison between in vivo retinal development and the organotypic retinal explant culture makes this model controversial in postnatal retinal development ***,we aimed to verify the feasibility of using this model for postnatal retinal development studies by comparing it with the in vivo *** this study,we showed that postnatal retinal explants undergo normal development,and exhibit a consistent structure and timeline with retinas in ***,we used SOX2 and PAX6 immunostaining to identify retinal progenitor *** then examined cell proliferation and migration by immunostaining with Ki-67 and doublecortin,***-67-and doublecortin-positive cells decreased in both in vivo and explants during postnatal retinogenesis,and exhibited a high degree of similarity in abundance and distribution between ***,we used Ceh-10 homeodomain-containing homolog,glutamate-ammonia ligase(glutamine synthetase),neuronal nuclei,and ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1 immunostaining to examine the emergence of bipolar cells,Müller glia,mature neurons,and microglia,*** timing and spatial patterns of the emergence of these cell types were remarkably consistent between in vivo and explant *** study showed that the organotypic retinal explant culture model had a high degree of consistency with the progression of in vivo early postnatal retina *** findings confirm the accuracy and credibility of this model and support its use for long-term,systematic,and continuous observation.
