Preparation and Performance of HGM/PPENK-based High Temperature-resistant Thermal Insulating Coatings

Novel high temperature-resistant coatings with high mechanical strength and thermal-insulating performance were prepared with poly(ether nitrile ketone)(PPENK)resin as matrix and hollow glass microspheres(HGMs)as thermal-insulating *** corresponding mechanical and thermal-insulating study indicated that the mechanical properties of the coatings decreased with the increase of HGM content,and were improved after surface modification of HGM by KH570 resulting in enhancement of interaction between HGM and PPENK *** thermal conductivity of HGM/PPENK thermal-insulating coating decreased with the increase of HGM content and coating thickness,along with the decrease of the true *** also showed slight increase trend due to HGMs surface *** HGM/PPENK coating filled with modified HGMs showed better thermal resistance than that of unmodified HGM/PPENK *** thermal decomposition temperature at 5%weight loss of the coating containing modified HGMs was 10°C lower than that of pure PPENK,and 40°C higher than that of neat HGM/PPENK *** coating exhibited commendable appearance after 400°C for 30 *** merits of HGM/PPENK-based thermal coatings obviously demonstrated promising prospect in thermal protection fields.

A series of heteropolytungstates has been synthesized and utilized as catalysts to catalyze oxidation of benzyl alcohol with aqueous hydrogen peroxide. The results indicated that three of these catalysts showed the properties of reaction-controlled phasetransfer catalysis, and they had excellent catalytic ability to the oxidation of benzyl alcohol. No other by-products were detected by gas chromatography. Once the hydrogen peroxide was consumed completely, the catalyst precipitated from solvent, and the results of the catalyst recycle showed that the catalyst had high stability.

A new catalytic process for the synthesis of aldehyde from alcohol by oxidation with H202 with high selectivity, was studied. In this system, heteropolymolybdate [C7H7N（CH3）3]3 {PO4[MoO（O2）2]4} was utilized as the reaction-controlled phase-transfer catalyst to catalyze oxidation of benzyl and aliphatic alcohols. The molar ratio of H2O2 and alcohol was 0.75, no other by-products were detected by gas chromatography, the results of oxidation reaction indicated that the catalyst has high activity and stability.

A novel poly(ether imide)s containing phthalazinone and isopropyl moieties derived from 2-(4-aminophenyl)-4-[4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl]-phthalazin-1-one and bisphenol-A diphthalic anhydride was synthesized by one-step solution condensation polymerization in nr-cresol. The polymer was characterized by FTIR, NMR, molecular weights, glass transition temperature, thermal degradation temperature and WAXD.

A novel diacid chloride, 2-（4-chlorocarboxyphenyl）-4-[3,5-dimethyl-4-（4-chlorocarbo-xylphenoxy）phenyl]-2,3-phthalazin-l-one 2, was synthesized and used for the preparation of polyarylates with inherent viscosities of 0.25-0.37 dL·g^-1. The glass transition temperatures of polyarylates were in the range of 217-272℃. The temperatures at 10% weight loss of polyarylates were found to be in the range of 434-464℃ in nitrogen atmosphere and their structure was confirmed by FTIR and IH NMR. The amorphous polyarylates exhibited excellent solubility in a variety of solvents such as NMP, DMAc, DMF and chloroform.

In order to meet the demand for infrared stealth materials in the military field,conjugated polymers containing Schiff base moieties were designed and *** dialdehyde monomers were introduced and their effect on the comprehensive properties were systematically *** resulted polymers could be cast in solution to prepare polymer *** coatings exhibited high thermal stability up to 400℃ at 5%weight loss,and excellent mechanical performance with high Young’s modulus and *** infrared emissivity values varied from 0.587 to 0.627 at wavelength of 8-14μm and ranged from 0.595 to 0.609 at wavelength of 2-22μ***,it was found that the ATTPAL structure with carbazole moieties had a lower band gap and better electrical conductivity by photoelectric test and DFT theoretical ***,the infrared emissivity value of ATTPAL coating was the lowest compared with p-phenyl and pyridyl containing analogues,suggesting it was potential material for the future development of infrared stealth *** combined results showed that reducing the band gap and improving the electrical conductivity of the structure were both beneficial to the reduction of infrared *** would positively provide new ideas for the design of infrared stealth materials.

High molecular weight copoly(ether ketone)s (PEK) based on 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1- phthalazinone (DHPZ)/4,4-thiobisphenol (TBP)/4,4-diflourodiphenylketone (DFK) were prepared by nucleophilic substitution polycondensation. The copolymers were characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR. Thermal properties and solubility of copolymers were studied.

A new monomer of 4, 4-biphenyl-bis[4-phthalazin-1(2H)-one] was synthesized from biphenyl and phthalic anhydride, and a novel copoly(aryl ether ketone) (PPEK) was synthesized from 2, 2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-propane (BPA), 4, 4'-biphenyl-bis-[4-phthalazin-1(2H)-one], 4, 4- difluorodiphenylketone (DFK). The monomer and copolymer were characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR. DSC and TGA were used to the novel polymer.
