Lanthanide-organic frameworks based on terphenyl-tetracarboxylate ligands:syntheses,structures,optical properties and selective sensing of nitro explosives

Three isostructural three-dimensional(3D) lanthanide-based metal-organic frameworks [Ln_2L(H_2L)(NMP)_2].H_2O(Ln=Sm(1), Eu(2), Gd(3); H_4L=1,1′:4′,1″-terphenyl-2′,4,4″,5′-tetracarboxylic acid; NMP=N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. In 1–3, two Ln3+ ions are doubly-bridged by two oxygen atoms of two carboxylate groups to form the dinuclear Ln_2(OCOO–)_2 unit. Each Ln_2(OCOO–)_2 unit links with four H_2L^(2-) ligands and four L4. ligands to lead to the 3D framework,which can be rationalized as a new trinodal 4,4,8-connected(44.62)(45.6)(412.616) topological network by considering the dinuclear Ln_2(OCOO–)_2 units as 8-connected nodes and L^4./H_2L^(2-) ligands as planar 4-connected nodes, respectively. 1 and 3 exhibit blue emission originated from the ligand with the emission maximum at 384 nm, while 2 shows intense characteristic red emission of Eu^(3+) ions and weak ligand-centered emission. Moreover, 2 has fluorescent quenching response towards the aromatic nitro compounds, especially for the 3,4-dinitrotoluene(3,4-DNT) with the linear Stern-Volmer relationship in the concentration range of 0–1 mM and the quenching constant(Ksv) of 2.084×10~3 M^(-1).

A DAMAGE MECHANICS MODEL FOR TWISTED CARBON NANOTUBE FIBERS

Carbon nanotube fibers can be fabricated by the chemical vapor deposition spinning process. They are promising for a wide range of applications such as the building blocks of high-performance composite materials and micro-electrochemical sensors. Mechanical twisting is an effective means of enhancing the mechanical properties of carbon nanotube fibers during fabrication or by post processing. However, the effects of twisting on the mechanical properties remain an unsolved issue. In this paper, we present a two-scale damage mechanics model to quantitatively investigate the effects of twisting on the mechanical properties of carbon nanotube fibers. The numerical results demonstrate that the developed damage mechanics model can effectively describe the elastic and the plastic-like behaviors of carbon nanotube fibers during the tension process. A definite range of twisting which can effectively enhance the mechanical properties of carbon nanotube fiber is given. The results can be used to guide the mechanical twisting of carbon nanotube fibers to improve their properties and help optimize the mechanical performance of carbon nanotube-based materials.

The ordered membrane electrode assembly(MEA)has gained much attention because of its potential in improving mass ***,a comprehensive study was conducted on the influence of the patterned microporous layer(MPL)on the proton exchange membrane fuel cell *** patterned MPL is employed,grooves are generated between the catalyst layer and the gas diffusion *** is found that the grooves do not increase the contact resistance,and it is beneficial for water *** the MEA works under low humidity scenarios,the MEA with patterned MPL illustrated higher performance,due to the reduced inner resistance caused by improved water retention,leading to increased ionic ***,when the humidity is higher than 80%or working under high current density,the generated water accumulated in the grooves and hindered the oxygen mass transport,leading to a reduced MEA performance.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs),a novel anti-tumor therapeutic modality,are monoclonal antibodies targeting certain immune checkpoints(ICs)that reactivate T cells to achieve anti-tumor immunity by targeting,binding,and blocking *** inhibitory antibodies against the ICs cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen and programmed death receptor-1 have demonstrated efficacy and durable anti-tumor activity in patients with *** may prevent autoimmune ***,ICIs may disrupt ICs properties and trigger autoimmune-related adverse reactions involving various organ systems including the cardiovascular,pulmonary,gastrointestinal,renal,musculoskeletal,dermal,and endocrine *** 10%of patients with damage to target organs such as the thyroid,pituitary,pancreas,and adrenal glands develop endocrine system immune-related adverse events(irAEs)such as thyroid dysfunction,pituitary gland inflammation,diabetes mellitus,and primary adrenal ***,the symptoms of immunotherapy-associated endocrine system irAEs may be nonspecific and similar to those of other treatment-related adverse reactions,and failure to recognize them early may lead to *** detection and treatment of immunotherapy-associated endocrine irAEs is essential to improve the efficacy of immunotherapy,prognosis,and the quality of life of *** study aimed to review the mechanisms by which ICIs cause endocrine irAEs providing guidance for the development of appropriate management ***,we discuss(1)the biological mechanisms of ICs in tumorigenesis and progression,focusing on cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen and programmed cell death-1/programmed cell death-ligand 1;and(2)the epidemiology,clinical symptoms,diagnosis,and treatment of four immunotherapy-related endocrine complications.

为探明不同蛋白蛋黄复合保鲜材料对蓝莓的保鲜效果。本研究通过溶胶凝胶法制备6种蛋白蛋黄复合保鲜材料,采用涂膜保鲜方法对蓝莓进行保鲜,对保鲜后蓝莓失重率、腐烂率、外观品质及与衰老相关酶超氧化物岐化酶(Superoxide dismutase,SOD)和过氧化氢酶(Catalase,CAT)活性进行分析。结果表明,制备的6种复合保鲜材料均能延长蓝莓保鲜期,其中蛋白蛋黄、姜黄素和纤维素纳米晶复合保鲜材料组保鲜效果最佳,以期为姜黄素和纤维素纳米晶在蓝莓采后保鲜应用提供依据。

Modified Xiaoyao powder for postpartum depression:A systematic review and meta-analysis

Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of modified Xiaoyao powder for postpartum depression(PPD)by conducting a systematic review of randomized controlled trials(RCTs).Methods:The Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure Databases(CNKI),the Chinese Scientific Journals Database(VIP),Wanfang,Google Scholar,the SinoMed,Embase,Cochrane library,and PubMed databases were searched from their inception to April 25,*** Cochrane Risk of Bias tool was used to assess the quality of the *** applied the risk ratio to present dichotomous data and the mean difference to present continuous *** with similar characteristics were pooled for meta-analysis and heterogeneity was assessed using ***:This review included 35 trials involving 2848 *** quality of the included studies was low(unclear randomization processes and insufficient reporting of blinding).Participants treated with modified Xiaoyao powder plus Western medicine showed lower Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)depression score than those who used Western medicine alone(mean difference=-2.15;95%confidence interval:-2.52 to 1.78;Plieve depression in PPD when used alone or in combination with Western medicine,with minor side ***,future high-quality,large-sample size RCTs are warranted.

PABP-driven secondary condensed phase within RSV inclusion bodies activates viral mRNAs for ribosomal recruitment

Inclusion bodies(IBs)of respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)are formed by liquid-liquid phase separation(LLPS)and contain internal structures termed“IB-associated granules”(IBAGs),where anti-termination factor M2-1 and viral mRNAs are ***,the mechanism of IBAG formation and the physiological function of IBAGs are ***,we found that the internal structures of RSV IBs are actual M2-1-free viral messenger ribonucleoprotein(mRNP)condensates formed by secondary ***,the RSV nucleoprotein(N)and M2-1 interact with and recruit PABP to IBs,promoting PABP to bind viral mRNAs transcribed in IBs by RNArecognition motif and drive secondary phase ***,PABP-eIF4G1 interaction regulates viral mRNP condensate composition,thereby recruiting specific translation initiation factors(eIF4G1,eIF4E,eIF4A,eIF4B and eIF4H)into the secondary condensed phase to activate viral mRNAs for ribosomal *** study proposes a novel LLPS-regulated translation mechanism during viral infection and a novel antiviral strategy via targeting on secondary condensed phase.

Effect of rGO Coating on Interconnected Co_3O_4 Nanosheets and Improved Supercapacitive Behavior of Co_3O_4/rGO/NF Architecture

In this study, the effect of reduced graphene oxide(rGO) on interconnected Co_3O_4 nanosheets and the improved supercapacitive behaviors is reported. By optimizing the experimental parameters, we achieved a specific capacitance of ~1016.4 F g^(-1) for the Co_3O_4/rGO/NF(nickel foam) system at a current density of 1 A g^(-1). However, the Co_3O_4/NF structure without rGO only delivers a specific capacitance of ~520.0 F g^(-1)at the same current density. The stability test demonstrates that Co_3O_4/rGO/NF retains ~95.5% of the initial capacitance value even after 3000 charge–discharge cycles at a high current density of 7 A g^(-1). Further investigation reveals that capacitance improvement for the Co_3O_4/rGO/NF structure is mainly because of a higher specific surface area(~87.8 m^2g^(-1))and a more optimal mesoporous size(4–15 nm) compared to the corresponding values of 67.1 m^2g^(-1) and 6–25 nm,respectively, for the Co_3O_4/NF structure. rGO and the thinner Co_3O_4 nanosheets benefit from the strain relaxation during the charge and discharge processes, improving the cycling stability of Co_3O_4/rGO/NF.

Intrauterine adhesion is a major cause of female reproductive *** we and others uncontrolled pilot studies showed that treatment with autologous bone marrow stem cells made a few patients with severe intrauterine adhesion obtain live birth,no large sample randomized controlled studies on this therapeutic strategy in such patients have been reported so *** verify if the therapy of autologous bone marrow stem cells-scaffold is superior to traditional treatment in moderate to severe intrauterine adhesion patients in increasing their ongoing pregnancy rate,we conducted this randomized controlled clinical *** 195 participants with moderate to severe intrauterine adhesion were screened and 152 of them were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to either group with autologous bone marrow stem cells-scaffold plus Foley balloon catheter or group with only Foley balloon catheter(control group)from February 2016 to January *** per-protocol analysis included 140 participants:72 in bone marrow stem cells-scaffold group and 68 in control *** ongoing pregnancy occurred in 45/72(62.5%)participants in the bone marrow stem cells-scaffold group which was significantly higher than that in the control group(28/68,41.2%)(RR=1.52,95%CI 1.08–2.12,P=0.012).The situation was similar in live birth rate(bone marrow stem cells-scaffold group 56.9%(41/72)*** group 38.2%(26/68),RR=1.49,95%CI 1.04–2.14,P=0.027).Compared with control group,participants in bone marrow stem cells-scaffold group showed more menstrual blood volume in the 3rd and 6th cycles and maximal endometrial thickness in the 6th cycle after hysteroscopic *** incidence of mild placenta accrete was increased in bone marrow stem cells-scaffold group and no severe adverse effects were *** conclusion,transplantation of bone marrow stem cells-scaffold into uterine cavities of the participants with moderate to severe intrauterine adhesion increased their ongoing pregnancy and
