The particle size is considered as a fundamental property of nanoparticles used for cargo delivery (CDS) purpose. The objective of this study was the particles size quantification of polydopamine nanoparticles (PDANS) via the near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) combined with chemometrics tools. The successful synthesis of PDANS was proved using several characterization methods. Compared with the model extracted using raw spectral data, the accuracy and stability of the new model extracted from pre-processed data were significantly improved. The PDANS particle size samples have been predicted with acceptable accuracy. The correlation (R2) between NIRS and the TEM granulometrie data was 99.81%, while the root mean square error of calibration RMSEC was 0.196 nm. This research shows that NIRS combined with a regression method is a viable tool for the quality determination of CD system.

Objective: To determine the consequence of recognizing high grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (HGPIN) & its extent on initial sextant prostatic biopsy then identifying its associated risk of finding prostate cancer on subsequent biopsy. Patients and methods: Seventy-one men were subjected to transrectal ultrasound guided sextant prostate biopsy due to elevated serum prostate specific antigen (***) > 4 ng /ml, an abnormal digital rectal examination (DRE) and/or transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) findings. The number, percentage, as well as bilateral and multifocal involvement of specimens positive for HGPIN were recorded in every patient. The percentage of cancer detected in these patients on repeat biopsy within 1 year of the initial biopsy was also recorded. Results: The mean age and mean *** level of our patients was 59.9 years and 7.9 ng/ml respectively. Of the 71 patients studied, initial biopsy revealed that (32.4%) had benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), (36.62%) had carcinoma, (25.35%) had HGPIN and (5.63%) had chronic prostatitis. On repeat biopsy within 1 year of initial biopsy cancer of the prostate was detected in 33.3% of our patients who were diagnosed with HGPIN on 1st biopsy. All of them had multifocal involvement on the initial biopsy. Conclusion: Recognizing HGPIN on 1st biopsy (particularly multifocal involvement) is associated with great risk of prostate cancer development on subsequent biopsy, thus comprehensive follow-up of these patients is necessary.

Objective:To determine the survival rate of tuberculosis (TB) patients and to identify the important factors associated with the survival of these patients in southern ***:The present retrospective cohort study extracted and reviewed available medical records of 134 TB patients undergoing TB treatment centre,during 2005 to *** Survival rate of patients for the outcome of the interval from diagnosis until death was plotted using life table and Kaplan-Meier survival *** proportional hazard regression model was used to examine the simultaneous effect of variables on survival *** significance level was considered to be ***:In this study,64.2% of the participants were male,73.1% had pulmonary TB and 5.22% had *** survival rate of one,five and thirteen years after diagnosis were 93%.78% and 69%,*** risk of death in patients with extrapulmonary TB (95% CI=1.96-15.83,P=0.001) was 5.58 times higher than in patients with pulmonary *** risk of death in smokers with TB (95% CI=1.74-2.46,P<0.001) was 2.07 times higher than in nonsmoker patients,and also the risk of death increased to 1.1 0 times more for a one-year increase in patient age (95% CI=1.06-1.14,P<0.001).Conclusions:The risk of death in patients with extrapulmonary TB and TB smokers was higher than other ***,timely diagnosis and proper treatment of patients with extrapulmonary TB as well as the development and integration of smoking cessation programs are underlined and emphasized in the formulation and implementation of the National Tuberculosis Control Program.

A numerical investigation is performed to study the effect of thermal radiation on magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) free convection flow along a vertical flat plate in presence of variable thermal conductivity in this paper. The governing equations of the flow and the boundary conditions are transformed into dimensionless form using appropriate similarity transformations and then solved employing the implicit finite difference method with Keller-box scheme. Results for the details of the velocity profiles, temperature distributions as well as the skin friction, the rate of heat transfer and surface temperature distributions are shown graphically. Results reveal that the thermal radiation is more significant in MHD natural convection flow during thermal conductivity effect is considered. To illustrate the accuracy of the present results, the results for the local skin fraction and surface temperature distribution excluding the extension effects are compared with results of Merkin and Pop designed for the fixed value of Prandtl number and a good agreement were found.

Novel type of polyethylene imine having methoxy (–OCH3) substituent azobenzene side chain group through eight methylene spacer group (PEI8M) was successfully synthesized and characterized by the polymer by 1H NMR, differential scanning calorimetry, polarized optical microscopic and X-ray diffraction analysis. Synthesized polymer possessed liquid crystalline (LC) properties. Spin coated PEI8M film showed out-of-plane molecular orientation on annealing and non-polarized visible light irradiation. PEI8M in solid film exhibited photoresponsive properties upon irradiation of UV and visible light. PEI8M film also exhibited reversible molecular orientation from random state to out-of-plane and from out-of-plane to random state on annealing, non-polarized UV and visible light irradiation.

Total Quality Management is not just an admirable phenomenon but it is any client’s right and can be done through contribution of the staff and the managers as well as the client’s of an organization. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the feasibility of TQM model and the attitude of the managers of health field of Yazd medical sciences university towards it. The present study was a descriptive and analytical one which was cross-section ally conducted from 2010 to 2011. The population under study consisted of the managers of the unit of staff vice-chancellor for health and treatment, the managers of health system and centers of cities and also the managers of Yazd’s public hospitals. 64 people were chosen using the formula for calculating the number of samples. A questionnaire with 48 questions was used. The questionnaire’s validity was approved by the faculty members whose major is management and its reliability by using α-cronbach 87%. To analyze the data, the software SPSS V.17 was used. Scoring method was based on likert. The findings of the study show that, considering feasibility of TQM, there is a significant relation between the awareness and attitude of the managers of health and treatment field on one side and the variables, age and University degree, on the other side p = 0.001. Considering binary logistic regression and the results obtained in the form of inter and backward stepwise, the most important factors affecting the feasibility of TQM among the managers of health and treatment field are the level of awareness and attitude with the predicted accuracy 79.3% and 87.9% respectively.

Objective To test the feasibility of training clinic and facility based providers from the Health and Population Welfare Departments. Methods District Sargodha in Punjab province in Pakistan was selected for carrying out the project as it fulfilled the criteria of being a median district with generally similar characteristics as the rest of the country. A quasi-experimental design was used to test the effectiveness of the training programs. Two rounds of situation analyses were carried out both pre and post intervention. Results There was a positive attitudinal change in providers in the intervention areas as compared with the control sites. From a list of indicators it was seen that clinic based static providers considered it important to enquire who were the main decision makers were in the family, 60% in intervention versus 49 % in control, and if the client can persuade other members of the family to assist in solving her reproductive health needs, 19% in intervention and 3% in control. In case of community based providers, as compared with 16% in the control site, 76% in the intervention area considered seeking permission for examination to be important. They also felt that enquiring about the welfare of other family members was also necessary, 50% in intervention and 34% in control. Conclusion Training of providers could lead to attitudinal and behavioural changes that can help clients meet their reproductive health needs, and the intervention is feasible and replicable.

BACKGROUND A recent expert panel issued recommendations about the technical aspects of direct endoscopic necrosectomy(DEN) for pancreatic walled-off necrosis(WON).However, significant technical heterogeneity still exists among *** To report the outcomes of our DEN technique and how it differs from a recent expert consensus statement and previous *** Medical records of patients with WON who underwent DEN from September2016-May 2019 were queried for the following information: Age, gender,ethnicity, etiology of acute pancreatitis, WON location and size, DEN technical information, adverse events(AEs) and outcomes. Adverse events were graded according to the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Lexicon grading system. Technical success was defined as adequate lumen apposing metal stent(LAMS) deployment plus removal of ≥ 90% of necrosum. Clinical success was defined as complete resolution of WON cavity by imaging and resolution of symptoms at ≤ 3 months(mo) after last DEN. Data analysis was performed using mean and standard deviation for continuous variables,frequency and proportion for categorical variables, and median and range for interval *** A total of 21 patients underwent DEN. Most of them were Hispanic and their mean age was 51 ± 17 years. The majority of the collections were located in the body of the pancreas and the mean size was 13 cm ± 5 cm. The most common indication was persistent vomiting. Antibiotics were administered only in cases of infected necrosis. All LAMS were placed without radiological guidance,dilated the same day of deployment and removed after a mean of 27 ± 11 *** cross-sectional imaging immediately after drainage was not *** mean interval between DEN sessions was 7 ± 4 d and the mean number of DEN/patient was 3 ± 2. Technical and clinical success rates were both 95%. AEs were seen in 5 patients and included: Sepsis(2), stent migration(1), stent maldeployment(1), perforation(1). The

The KoheSiah Volcanoes are located in the North of Qorveh city in the west of Iran. The KoheSiah volcanoes include several craters bearing domes located in the Kordestan Province, between latitudes 35°23'13.54” to 35°21'26.63”N and longitudes 47°54'38.26”E to 47°56'01.42”E. Based on the petrographic and geochemical analysis, the volcanic rocks in the KoheSiah area are classified as basalt, Alkali basalt, trachy-andesites and mugearite. The studied samples are alkaline with sodic to potasic feature based on Na2O/K2O ratios and belonging to Shoshonite series. Most of the alkaline volcanic rocks in the study area fall in the field of within in plate basalts (WPB) and represent of a mantle metasomatism trend associated with variable degrees in the partial melting of an enriched mantle source.
