In this paper,the authors tackle a fixed-time average-tracking problem for multi-agent systems which do not require velocity measurements and are affected by external mismatched and matched *** objective requires the considered agents with second-order dynamics to follow the average value of several time-varying reference signals,each of which is acquired by only one *** of all,the average value is estimated by using a novel distributed average estimator in a fixed ***,an original observer is created to provide estimated values in a fixed time for external mismatched and matched disturbances as well as unmeasured velocities of ***,the authors propose a novel fixed-time anti-disturbance average-tracking protocol with the aid of the observer and a sliding mode *** the end,the feasibility of theoretical analysis is illustrated by some simulation experiments.

Constructing heterostructures has proved to be a successful strategy to fabricate electrocatalysts with high efficiency for water ***,the structure evolution in alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction lacks investigation and the specific active center remains ***,we take the well-designed Ni_(3)S_(2)@VO_(2) heterostructures as a model to investigate the electrocatalytic activity and the surface reconstruction process of heterostructure catalysts in alkaline *** Ni_(3)S_(2)@VO_(2) heterostructures,with Ni_(3)S_(2) nanorods as the core and VO_(2) nanoflakes as the shell,coupled with the high conductive Ni_(3)S_(2),the hydrophilic VO_(2) and modulated electronic structures at the interfaces,exhibited prominent activity and superior stability at various current ***,the ex-situ characterizations confirmed that the surface reconstruction from Ni_(3)S_(2)@VO_(2) into Ni_(3)S_(2)@amorphous-Ni(OH)_(2) in alkaline media could optimize the water dissociation barrier and exposed large active area,thereby contributing to improved electrocatalytic *** study not only introduces novel high-performance electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),but also provides a new avenue for re-examining hetero-structural catalysts in alkaline solutions.

This work reported an AIE fluorescent probe for tumor imaging based on the p H induced self-assembly strategy. The fluorescent probe was composed of an acid-responsive soluble copolymer PEG-b-PAMA-DMMA with a maleic acid amide group and an anionic soluble aggregation-induced emission fluorogen(AIEgen) TPE-2SO_(3)^(-). The polymer could be transformed into a protonated amine-containing polymer after the hydrolysis of maleic acid amide in acidic tumor microenvironment, which would be further self-assembled with TPE-2SO_(3)^(-)to form aggregated nanoparticles. The transition of TPE-2SO_(3)^(-)from dispersed state to aggregated state led to an obvious increase in fluorescence intensity due to its AIE characteristics.

BACKGROUND The incidence of chronic kidney disease among patients with diabetes mellitus(DM)remains a global ***-term obesity is known to possibly influence the development of type 2 diabetes ***,no previous meta-analysis has assessed the effects of body mass index(BMI)on adverse kidney events in patients with *** To determine the impact of BMI on adverse kidney events in patients with *** A systematic literature search was performed on the PubMed,ISI Web of Science,Scopus,Ovid,Google Scholar,EMBASE,and BMJ *** included trials with the following characteristics:(1)Type of study:Prospective,retrospective,randomized,and non-randomized in design;(2)participants:Restricted to patients with DM aged≥18 years;(3)intervention:No intervention;and(4)kidney adverse events:Onset of diabetic kidney disease[estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)of<60 mL/min/1.73 m2 and/or microalbuminuria value of≥30 mg/g Cr],serum creatinine increase of more than double the baseline or end-stage renal disease(eGFR<15 mL/min/1.73 m2 or dialysis),or *** Overall,11 studies involving 801 patients with DM were *** BMI(≥25 kg/m2)was significantly associated with higher blood pressure(BP)[systolic BP by 0.20,95%confidence interval(CI):0.15–0.25,P<0.00001;diastolic BP by 0.21 mmHg,95%CI:0.04–0.37,P=0.010],serum albumin,triglycerides[standard mean difference(SMD)=0.35,95%CI:0.29–0.41,P<0.00001],low-density lipoprotein(SMD=0.12,95%CI:0.04–0.20,P=0.030),and lower high-density lipoprotein(SMD=–0.36,95%CI:–0.51 to–0.21,P<0.00001)in patients with DM compared with those with low BMIs(<25 kg/m2).Our analysis showed that high BMI was associated with a higher risk ratio of adverse kidney events than low BMI(RR:1.22,95%CI:1.01–1.43,P=0.036).CONCLUSION The present analysis suggested that high BMI was a risk factor for adverse kidney events in patients with DM.

Objective: To assess if there is a relationship between residential radon exposure and two lung cancer histologicaltypes, small-cell carcinoma (diagnosed in people with a smoking history) and adenocarcinoma (the mostcommonly diagnosed histologic type in people who have never smoked) among males and females in ***: With survey data of long-term radon measurements in residential homes, long-term averaged tobaccoconsumption rates in the units of cigarettes per day per person and long-term averaged age-standardized lungcancer incidence rates at provincial level, simple linear fitting (ANOVA linear regression) was applied in this studyto determine the effect on lung cancer induction by smoking and exposure to indoor radon, and to assess if there isa relationship between residential radon exposure and lung cancer histological ***: Lung cancer incidence rates correlate very well with the tobacco consumption rates (P < 0.05). However,females appear to be more likely than males to develop lung cancer at a given amount of cigarette *** both small-cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma, a statistically significant correlation between incidence rateand mean radon concentration was observed for females, the correlation was much stronger for adenocarcinoma(P = 0.0057) than small-cell carcinoma (P = 0.0483). However, there was no such correlation for ***: It is possible that female non-smokers are more susceptible to radon-induced lung cancer, and the jointeffect of radon exposure and tobacco smoking may be worse in female smokers compared to males, such thathigher incidence rate of adenocarcinoma among females compared to males were observed in recent decades,even though females never smoked more than males.

Cracks have consistently been a significant challenge limiting the development of additive manufactured nickel-based *** is essential to investigate the location of cracks and their forming *** study extensively examines the impact of solidification process,microstructural evolution,and stress concentration on crack initiation during direct energy deposition(DED).The results emphasize that the crack formation is significantly related to large-angle grain boundaries,rapid cooling *** caused by large-angle grain boundaries and a fast-cooling rate predominantly appear near the edge of the deposited *** cracks are more likely to form near the top of the deposited sample,due to the presence ofγ/γ'*** secondary dendritic arm and the carbides in the interdendritic regions can obstruct liquid flow during the final stage of solidification,which results in the formation of solidification cracks and *** work paves the way to avoid cracks in nickel-based superalloys fabricated by DED,thereby enhancing the performance of superalloys.
