Background Extracellular vesicles(EVs) present in oviductal(OF) and uterine fluid(UF) have been shown to enhance bovine embryo quality during in vitro culture by reducing lipid contents and modulating lipid metabolism-related genes(LMGs), while also influencing cell proliferation, suggesting their involvement on the regulation of different biological pathways. The regulation of signaling pathways related to cell differentiation, proliferation, and metabo-lism is crucial for early embryo development and can determine the success or failure of the pregnancy. Bioactive molecules within EVs in maternal reproductive fluids, such as micro Rnas(miRnas), may contribute to this regulatory process as they modulate gene expression through post-transcriptional *** This study evaluated miRna cargo in OF-EVs from the early luteal phase and UF-EVs from the mid-luteal phase, coinciding with embryo transit within oviduct and uterus in vivo, and its possible influence on LMGs and sign-aling pathways crucial for early embryo development. A total of 333 miRnas were detected, with 11 exclusive to OF, 59 to UF, and 263 were common between both groups. From the 20 differentially expressed miRnas, 19 up-regulated in UF-EVs(bta-miR-134, bta-miR-151-3p, bta-miR-155, bta-miR-188, bta-miR-181b, bta-miR-181d, bta-miR-224, bta-miR-23b-3p, bta-miR-24-3p, bta-miR-27a-3p, bta-miR-29a, bta-miR-324, bta-miR-326, bta-miR-345-3p, bta-miR-410, bta-miR-652, bta-miR-677, bta-miR-873 and bta-miR-708) and one(bta-miR-148b) in OF-EVs. Experimental and ab initio study of Ba_(2)na_(3)(B_(3)O_(6))_(2)F stability in the pressure range of 0–10 GPa

Both numerical and experimental studies of the stability and electronic properties of barium–sodium metaborate Ba_(2)na_(3)(B_(3)O_(6))_(2)F(P63/m) at pressures up to 10 GPa have been carried out. Electronic-structure calculations with HSE06 hybrid functional showed that Ba_(2)na_(3)(B_(3)O_(6))_(2)F has an indirect band gap of 6.289 eV. A numerical study revealed the decomposition of Ba_(2)na_(3)(B_(3)O_(6))_(2)F into the BaB_(2)O_(4),na BO_(2), and.naF phases above 3.4 GPa at 300 K. Subsequent high-pressure high-temperature experiments performed using ‘discoverer-1500’dIA-type apparatus at pressures of 3 and 6 GPa and temperature of 1173 K confirmed the stability of Ba_(2)na_(3)(B_(3)O_(6))_(2)F at 3 GPa and its decomposition into BaB_(2)O_(4), naBO_(2), and.naF at 6 GPa, which was verified by energy-dispersive X-ray analysis and Raman spectroscopy. The observed Raman bands of the Ba_(2)na_(3)(B_(3)O_(6))_(2)F phase were assigned by comparing the experimental and calculated spectra. The experimental Raman spectra of decomposition reaction products obtained at 6 GPa suggest the origin of a new high-pressure modification of barium metaborate BaB_(2)O_(4).

Polysaccharide composition during cotton seed fibre development:temporal differences between species and in different seasons

A systematic study of TKX-50 and ABTOX synthesis using both Klap6tke and Tselinskii modified procedures is described. The influence of temperature, moisture, acid amount and.nature on the most critical synthesis step - diazidoglyoxime cyclization is shown. Experimental results show that presence of moisture in reaction mixture leads to product yield decreasing. The reaction temperature is another key parameter affecting product yield. High reaction temperature shows negative influence on the product yield in Klap6tke method. In Tselinskii procedure the yield of product grows with the reaction temperature increasing. For Klap6tke one-pot method, combination of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone with 1,4-dioxane is the best solvent, whereas Tselinskii one-pot procedure gives high yield of product when combination of toluene with 0.5 equiv, of 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene （dBU） is used. Us- ing optimized conditions one-pot five-step synthesis of TKX-50 starting from glyoxime is successfully performed and scaled up to 50 g.

A 3d morphometric perspective for facial gender analysis and classification using geodesic path curvature features

The relationship between the shape and gender of a face, with particular application to automatic gender classification, has been the subject of significant research in recent years. determining the gender of a face, especially when dealing with unseen examples, presents a major challenge. This is especially true for certain age groups, such as teenagers, due to their rapid development at this phase of life. This study proposes a new set of facial morphological descriptors,based on 3d geodesic path curvatures, and uses them for gender analysis. Their goal is to discern key facial areas related to gender, specifically suited to the task of gender classification. These new curvature-based features are extracted along the geodesic path between two biological landmarks located in key facial *** performance based on the new features is compared with that achieved using the Euclidean and geodesic distance measures traditionally used in gender analysis and classification. Five different experiments were conducted on a large teenage face database(4745 faces from the Avon Longitud.nal Study of Parents and Children) to investigate and justify the use of the proposed curvature features. Our experiments show that the combination of the new features with geodesic distances provides a classification accuracy of 89%. They also show that nose-related traits provide the most discriminative facial feature for gender classification, with the most discriminative features lying along the 3d face profile curve.

3d pore-scale modeling of nanofluids-enhanced oil recovery
