A novel nanoadsorbent for the removal of heavy metal ions is *** was first hydrolyzed to obtain cellulose nanocrystals（CNCs）.CNCs were then chemically modified with succinic anhydride to obtain *** sodic nanoadsorbent（NaSCNCs） was further prepared by treatment of SCNCs with saturated NaHCO 3 aqueous *** experiments were carried out with SCNCs and NaSCNCs for the removal of Pb 2＋ and Cd 2＋.The effects of contact time,pH,initial adsorption concentration,coexisting ions and the regeneration performance were *** studies showed that the adsorption equilibrium time of Pb 2＋ and Cd 2＋ was reached within 150 min on SCNCs and 5 min on *** adsorption capacities of Pb 2＋ and Cd 2＋ on SCNCs and NaSCNCs increased with increasing *** adsorption isotherm was well fitted by the Langmuir *** maximum adsorption capacities of SCNCs and NaSCNCs for Pb 2＋ and Cd 2＋ were 367.6 mg/g,259.7 mg/g and 465.1 mg/g,344.8 mg/g,*** and NaSCNCs showed high selectivity and interference resistance from coexisting ions for the adsorption of Pb 2＋.NaSCNCs could be efficiently regenerated with a mild saturated NaCl solution with no loss of capacity after two *** adsorption mechanisms of SCNCs and NaSCNCs were discussed.

Polyamines play an important role in plant response to abiotic stress. S-adenosyl-l-methionine decarboxylase （SAMDC） is one of the key regulatory enzymes in the biosynthesis of polyamines. In order to better understand the effect of regulation of polyamine biosynthesis on the tolerance of high-temperature stress in tomato, SAMDC cDNA isolated from Saccharomyces cerevisiae was introduced into tomato genome by means of Agrobacterium tumefaciens through leaf disc transformation. Transgene and expression was confirmed by Southern and Northern blot analyses, respectively. Transgenic plants expressing yeast SAMDC produced 1.7- to 2.4-fold higher levels of spermidine and spermine than wildtype plants under high temperature stress, and enhanced antioxidant enzyme activity and the protection of membrane lipid peroxidation was also observed. This subsequently improved the efficiency of CO2 assimilation and protected the plants from high temperature stress, which indicated that the transgenic tomato presented an enhanced tolerance to high temperature stress （38℃） compared with wild-type plants. Our results demonstrated clearly that increasing polyamine biosynthesis in plants may be a means of creating high temperature-tolerant germplasm.

In this paper,a typical experiment is carried out based on a high-resolution air-sea coupled model,namely,the coupled ocean-atmosphere-wave-sediment transport(COAWST)model,on both heterogeneous many-core(SW)and homogenous multicore(Intel)supercomputing *** construct a hindcast of Typhoon Lekima on both the SW and Intel platforms,compare the simulation results between these two platforms and compare the key elements of the atmospheric and ocean modules to reanalysis *** comparative experiment in this typhoon case indicates that the domestic many-core computing platform and general cluster yield almost no differences in the simulated typhoon path and intensity,and the differences in surface pressure(PSFC)in the WRF model and sea surface temperature(SST)in the short-range forecast are very small,whereas a major difference can be identified at high latitudes after the first 10 *** heat budget analysis verifies that the differences in SST after 10 days are mainly caused by shortwave radiation variations,as influenced by subsequently generated typhoons in the *** typhoons generated in the hindcast after the first 10 days attain obviously different trajectories between the two platforms.

The tumor suppressor gene liver kinase B1 （LKB1）, also called STKll, encodes a serine/threonine kinase. LKB1 plays crucial roles in cell differentiation, proliferation, and polarity. In this study, LKB1 conditional knockout mice （LKB1pax2 CKO mice） were generated using Pax2-Cre mice to investigate the function of LKB1 in inner ear hair cells during early embryonic period. LKB1Pax2 CKO mice died perinatally. Immunofluorescence and scanning electron microscopy revealed that stereociliary bundles in LKB1Pax2 CKO mice were clustered and misoriented, respectively. Moreover, ectopic distribution of kinocilium bundles resulting from abnormal migration of kinocilium was observed in the mutant mice. The orientation of stereociliary bundles and the migration of kinocilia are critical indicators of planar cell polarity （PCP） of hair cells. LKB1 deficiency in LKB1Pax2 CKO mice thus disrupted hair cell planar polarity during embryonic development. Our results suggest that LKB1 is required in PCP formation in cochlear hair cells in mice.

A series of Co-based oxide catalysts were prepared by calcining hydrotalcite precursors in different atmospheres and studied for HCHO catalytic oxidation. The N2-calcined catalyst exhibits enhanced HCHO oxidation and superior stability. On the basis of H2-TPR, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and Raman characterizations, this can be ascribed to better redox ability, octahedrally coordinated Co2+ ions derived from the CoO phase, and other surface oxygen species, such as O2– or O–. The extra octahedrally coordinated Co2+ ions may reside in a more open framework site than the inactive tetrahedrally coordinated Co2+ ions. This species of Co2+ can easily make contact with oxygen and oxidize. The surface oxygen species, along with the octahedrally coordinated Co2+ ions, and a part of the Co3+ species constitute the Co2+-oxygen species-Co3+ sites, which enhance the catalytic activities. According to DRIFTS, Co2+-oxygen species-Co3+ makes oxidation of HCHO and conversion of DOM to formate easier.
