Artificial Intelligence and Network Pharmacology Reveal the Medication Rules of Professor Wang yu-Ying in the Treatment of Climacteric Syndrome

Objective: The objective of this study was to explore the medication rules and academic ideas of Professor Wang yu-Ying in the treatment of climacteric syndrome(CLS) and to predict new prescriptions. Materials and Methods: The characteristics of frequency, clustering, four properties, and five flavors were analyzed, and new prescriptions were predicted through an artificial intelligence(ai)-based method. The potential pathways of new prescriptions were explored through network pharmacology-based analysis. Results: The top 16 medicinals used by Professor Wang yu-Ying in the treatment of CLS included Danggui, Longgu, Muli, Fuling, Chuanxiong, Gancao, Xiangfu, and Tusizi. The ai method was applied to predict the basic prescription for treating CLS: Danggui 15 g, Duanlonggu 30 g, Duanmuli 30 g, Fuling 28 g, Chuanxiong 10 g, Gancao 6 g, Xiangfu 12 g, Tusizi 14 g, etc., Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analyses showed that the pathogenesis of CLS might be related to the estrogen pathway, involving typical steroid responses. Conclusions: This study summarized Professor Wang's medication experience in the treatment of CLS based on the data mining of clinical diagnoses and treatment cases. The ai method was used to predict the new prescription of CLS treatment, which was found to be reasonable by network pharmacology studies on its multi-target and multi-pathway mechanisms.

A model reduction approach for discrete-time linear time-variant systems with delayed inputs

A model reduction approach is presented for discrete-time linear time-variant input-delayed systems. According to this proposed approach, a dynamical variable is constructed by taking advantage of the current state and historical information of input. It is revealed that the behavior of this dynamical variable is governed by a discrete-time linear delay-free system. It is worth noting that the presented variable transformation does not require the system matrix to be invertible. Based on the reduced delay-free models,stabilizing control laws can be easily obtained for the original delayed system. For the case with a single input delay, the constructed variable is an exact prediction for the future state, and thus the stabilizing control law could be designed by replacing the future state with its prediction. Finally, three discrete-time periodic systems with delayed input are employed to illustrate how to utilize the presented model reduction approaches.

Automated Identification of Ordered Phases for Simulation Studies of Block Copolymers

In unit cell simulations,identification of ordered phases in block copolymers(BCPs)is a tedious and time-consuming task,impeding the advancement of more streamlined and potentially automated research *** this study,we propose a scattering-based automated identification strategy(SaiS)for characterization and identification of ordered phases of BCPs based on their computed scattering *** approach leverages the scattering theory of perfect crystals to efficiently compute the scattering patterns of periodic morphologies in a unit *** the first stage of the SaiS,phases are identified by comparing reflection conditions at a sequence of Miller *** confirm or refine the identification results of the first stage,the second stage of the SaiS introduces a tailored residual between the test phase and each of the known candidate ***,our strategy incorporates a variance-like criterion to distinguish background species,enabling its extension to multi-species BCP *** has been demonstrated that our strategy achieves exceptional accuracy and robustness while requiring minimal computational ***,the approach allows for real-time expansion and improvement to the candidate phase library,facilitating the development of automated research workflows for designing specific ordered structures and discovering new ordered phases in BCPs.

Ginsenoside Rd Induces Differentiation of Myeloid Leukemia Cells via Regulating ERK/GSK-3βSignaling Pathway

Runout prediction of potential landslides based on the multi-source data collaboration analysis on historical cases

Long runout landslides involve a massive amount of energy and can be extremely hazardous owing to their long movement distance,high mobility and strong destructive *** methods have been widely used to predict the landslide runout but a fundamental problem remained is how to determine the reliable numerical *** study proposes a framework to predict the runout of potential landslides through multi-source data collaboration and numerical analysis of historical landslide ***,for the historical landslide cases,the landslide-induced seismic signal,geophysical surveys,and possible in-situ drone/phone videos(multi-source data collaboration)can validate the numerical results in terms of landslide dynamics and deposit features and help calibrate the numerical(rheological)***,the calibrated numerical parameters can be used to numerically predict the runout of potential landslides in the region with a similar geological setting to the recorded *** of the runout prediction approach to the 2020 Jiashanying landslide in Guizhou,China gives reasonable results in comparison to the field *** numerical parameters are determined from the multi-source data collaboration analysis of a historical case in the region(2019 Shuicheng landslide).The proposed framework for landslide runout prediction can be of great utility for landslide risk assessment and disaster reduction in mountainous regions worldwide.
