Objective To carry out national surveys for ascertaining the current status and trends of soil-transmitted nematode infections in China, providing scientific basis for further developing control strategies. Methods In 1988-1992 （hereinafter abbreriated as ＂survey in 1990＂）, a stratified cluster random sampling method was used in the survey. In 2001-2004 （hereinafter abbreriated as ＂survey in 2003＂）, in order to compare with the survey in 1990, two-characteristic stratified cluster random sampling method was used and 687 investigation spots were sampled from the 2848 spots selected in the survey in 1990. Kato-Katz thick smear method was used to examine the eggs of soil-transmitted nematodes in fecal samples. Results The prevalence rates were 53.6% and 19.6% for soil-transmitted nematodes, 14.6% and 6.120% for hookworms, 44.6% and 12.7% for Ascaris lumbricoides, 17.4% and 4.630% for Trichuris trichiura in survey 1990 and survey 2003, respectively. The prevalence rates of soil-transmitted nematodes were higher in 13 provinces than the average level in China in the survey in 1990, and higher in 8 provinces than the average level in the survey in 2003. The prevalence of hookworms, Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura and the overall prevalence of soil-transmitted nematodes were higher in females than in males. It is estimated from the results of survey in 2003 that the number of persons with soil-transmitted nematode infections in the country is about 129 million, less than that in the survey in 1990. Conclusion The prevalence of soil-transmitted nematodes has declined considerably but is still relatively high in some provinces and autonomous regions. Control activities and socioeconomic development may have contributed to the decreased prevalence.

Background Involvement of peripheral nerves in dermatomyositis （DM） and polymyositis （PM） is less well known. In the present study we retrospectively analyzed the clinical and electrophysiological records of hospital inpatients with a diagnosis of DM or PM to investigate the association of DM/PM and peripheral neuropathy. Methods The data of inpatients diagnosed with DM or PM were collected in Peking Union Medical College Hospital, and 186 patients （118 patients with DM and 68 with PM） were retrospectively analyzed. Nerve conduction studies （NCSs） of the median nerve, ulnar nerve, posterior tibial nerve, and common peroneal nerve were examined simultaneously. Results There were 71 （38.2%） patients with abnormal NCS findings, 37 （19.9%） with pure motor involvement （decreased compound muscle action potential, CMAP）, and 34 （18.3%） with peripheral neuropathy. Of the 34 peripheral neuropathy patients, 14 （7.5%） had polyneuropathy, 1 （0.5%） had multiple mononeuropathy, 16 （8.6%） had carpal tunnel syndrome （CTS）, 1 （0.5%） had trigeminal sensory neuropathy, 1 （0.5%） had ulnar sensory neuropathy, and 1 （0.5%） had brachial plexus involvement. The prevalence of malignant disease （3/34, 8.8%）, other connective tissue diseases （CTDs）（7/34, 20.6%） and diabetes （6/34, 17.6%） was significantly greater in DM/PM patients with peripheral neuropathy （X2=15.855, P=0.000） compared with DM/PM patients without involvement of peripheral nerves （5/115, 4.3% and 7/115, 6.1%, respectively）. Conclusions Peripheral neuropathy in DM/PM often suggests a complication with cancer, other CTDs, diabetes or CTS. From a practical point of view, NCS for DM/PM may help find the underlying disorders.

Conventional thermosetting polymers, mostly derived from nonrenewable petroleum resources, are not reprocessable and recyclable due to their highly cross-linked three-dimensional networks and face the disadvantage of high flammability. To solve these issues, in this study, we synthesized a novel Schiff base covalent adaptable thermoset from a furan-derived tri-aldehyde monomer(TMFP) and a furan-derived di-amine monomer(DFDA).The as-prepared TMFP-DFDA-Vitrimer exhibited superior anti-flammability with a high limiting oxygen index(LOI) of 35.0% and a UL-94 V-0 rating, which was attributed to the excellent charring ability. Additionally, TMFPDFDA-Vitrimer could also be conveniently recycled by chemical decomposition under a mixed hydrochloric acid/tetrahydrofuran(HCl/THF) solution. After recycling for 5 times, the thermal, mechanical, and flame retardant properties of the recycled TMFP-DFDA-Vitrimer retained almost unchanged compared to the original one. This work provides a prime instance to develop advanced thermosetting polymers from abundant furan-based compounds.

Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites(HOIPs)hold promise in the field of optoelectronics due to their excellent photoelectric conversion ***,the ion migration and hygroscopicity of these perovskite solar cells need to be ***,we presented semitransparent perovskite solar cells(ST-PSCs)using hole transport layer(HTL)combined with polyaniline(PANI)to stabilize HTL/perovskite interface,achieving a humidity durability(RH,50%-90%)for 596 days(14304 h)without ***,the decrease in hydrolysis products(LiF)showed the interaction between PANI with the addi-tives in HTL dramatically inhibited the water uptake and corrosion on MAPbI_(3),*** PANI modified samples had a higher I/Pb ratio and lower trap state density,which indicated the passivation effect of PANI on the uncoordinated Pb^(2+)and iodine ***,PANI successfully stabilized the interface and perovskite by inhibiting the formation of Pb^(0) and Au migration as long period *** work presented an interfacial design to develop HOiP in air with high humidity stability.

Temperature-swing adsorption(TSA)is an effective technique for CO_(2) capture,but the temperature swing procedure is ***,we report a low-energy-consumption system by combining passive radiative cooling and solar heating for the uptake of CO_(2) on commercial activated carbons(CACs).During adsorption,the adsorbents are coated with a layer of hierarchically porous poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropene)[P(VdF-HFP)HP],which cools the adsorbents to a low temperature under sunlight through radiative *** desorption,CACs with broad absorption of the solar spectrum are exposed to light irradiation for *** heating and cooling processes are completely driven by solar *** tests under mimicked sunlight using the CACs show that the performance of this system is comparable to that of the traditional ***,under real sunlight irradiation,the adsorption capacity of the CACs can be well maintained after multiple *** present work may inspire the development of new temperature swing procedures with little energy consumption.

This study aimed to examine the association between the use of H1-antihistamines(AHs)and head and neck cancer(HNC)risk in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Data from the National Health Insurance Research Database of Taiwan were analyzed for the period from 2008 to 2018.A propensity-score-matched cohort of 54,384 patients each in the AH user and nonuser groups was created and analyzed using Kaplan-Meier method and Cox proportional hazards *** results showed that the risk of HNC was significantly lower in AH users(adjusted hazard ratio:0.55,95%CI:0.48 to 0.64)and the incidence rate was also lower(5.16 vs.8.10 per 100,000 person-years).The lower HNC incidence rate in AH users(95%CI:0.63;0.55 to 0.73)suggests that AH use may reduce the risk of HNC in T2DM patients.

Objective: To study the in vitro and in vivo antitumor effects of the polysaccharide of Alocasia cucullata(PAC) and the underlying mechanism. Methods: B16F10 and 4T1 cells were cultured with PAC of 40 μg/m L, and PAC was withdrawn after 40 days of administration. The cell viability was detected by cell counting kit-8. The expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 proteins were detected by Western blot and the expressions of ERK1/2 mRNA were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR). A mouse melanoma model was established to study the effect of PAC during long-time administration. Mice were divided into 3 treatment groups: control group treated with normal saline, positive control group(LNT group) treated with lentinan at 100 mg/(kg·d), and PAC group treated with PAC at 120 mg/(kg·d). The pathological changes of tumor tissues were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining. The cell apoptosis of tumor tissues was detected by TUNEL staining. Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein expressions were detected by immunohistochemistry, and the expressions of ERK1/2, JNK1 and p38 mRNA were detected by qRT-PCR. Results: In vitro, no strong inhibitory effects of PAC were found in various tumor cells after 48 or 72 h of administration. Interestingly however, after 40 days of cultivation under PAC, an inhibitory effect on B16F10 cells was found. Correspondingly, the long-time administration of PAC led to downregulation of Bcl-2 protein(P <0.05), up-regulation of Caspase-3 protein(P<0.05) and ERK1 mRNA(P<0.05) in B16F10 cells. The above results were verified by in vivo experiments. In addition, viability of B16F10 cells under long-time administration culture in vitro decreased after drug withdrawal, and similar results were also observed in 4T1 cells. Conclusions: Long-time administration of PAC can significantly inhibit viability and promote apoptosis of tumor cells, and had obvious antitumor effect in tumor-bearing mice.

Sb-based materials exhibit considerable potential for sodium-ion storage owing to their high theoretica ***,the bulk properties of Sb-based materials always result in poor cycling and rate *** overcome these issues,pyridine-regulated Sb@InSbS_(3)ultrafine nanoplates loaded on reduced graphene oxides(Sb@InSbS_(3)@rGO)were designed and *** the synthesis process,pyridine was initially adopted to coordinate with In^(3+),and uniformly dispersed In_(2)S_(3)ultrafine nanoplates on reduced graphene oxide were generated after ***,partial In^(3+)was exchanged with Sb^(3+),and Sb@InSbS_(3)@rGO was obtained by using the subsequent annealing *** unique structure of Sb@InSbS_(3)@rGO effectively shortened the transfer path of sodium ions and electrons and provided a high *** the anode in sodium-ion batteries,the Sb@InSbS_(3)@rGO electrode demonstrated a significantly higher reversible capacity better stability(445 m Ah·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1)after 200 cycles and 212 mAh·g^(-1)at 2 A·g^(-1)after 1200 cycles),and superior rate(210 mAh·g^(-1)at 6.4 A·g^(-1))than the electrode without pyridine(355 mAh·g-1at 0.1 A·g-1after 55 cycles and 109 mAh·g^(-1)at 2 A·g^(-1)after 770 cycles)Furthermore,full cells were assembled by using the Sb@InSbS_(3)@rGO as anode and Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)as cathode which demonstrated good cycling and rate performances and exhibited promising application *** results indicate that adjusting the microstructure of electrode materials through coordination balance is A·good strategy for obtaining high-capacity,high-rate,and longcycle sodium storage performances.
