A soluble poly（meta-phenylene） derivative with rigid twisted biphenyl unit was synthesized by the Yamamoto coupling reaction. The polymer is soluble in common organic solvents, and the number-average molecular weight is about 6500. The UV-Vis and quantum chemical calculation indicate that the different conformation segments named ＂conformers＂ exist in the polymer backbones; it was also further confirmed by the single crystal X-ray diffraction study of the dimeric model compound. The π-π^＊ transition of biphenyl segments of twisted and planar conformations made the polymer exhibit a strong absorption around 256 nm and a weak absorption at about 300 nm. Furthermore, the polymer exhibits a strong UV photoluminescence at 372 nm when the excitation wavelengths are longer than 300 run. The ultraviolet-emitting electroluminescence（EL） device with the single layer structure shows EL λmax of the derivative at 370 nm.

The synthesis and structure of phenol groups containing ligand 2-[(cyclopentadienyl-phenyl)-methyl]phenol(CpH-PhCH-PhOH) were described. H Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) was used to show existence of ligand precursor in isomers of the group. Me3SiCp-PhCH-PhOSiMe3 was formed via treatment of 2 mol Me3SiCl with the dilithium salt of the ligand. New Ti compound [η+5, η1-C5H4-PhCH-PhO]TiCl2 was formed by reacting with titanium chloride.

The Great Xing＇an Mountains boreal forests were focused on in the northeastern *** simulated future climate scenarios of IPCC SRES A2a and B2a for both the baseline period of 1961-1990 and the future scenario periods were downscaled by the Delta Method and the Weather Generator to produce daily weather *** the verification with local weather and fire data,the Canadian Forest Fire Weather Index System was used to assess the forest fire weather situation under climate change in the study *** increasing trend of fire weather severity was found over the 21st century in the study region under the both future climate change scenarios,compared to the 1961-1990 baseline *** annual mean/maximum fire weather index was predicted to rise continuously during 2010-2099,and by the end of the 21st century it is predicted to rise by 22%-52% across much of China＇s boreal *** significant increases were predicted in the spring from of April to June and in the summer from July to *** the summer,the fire weather index was predicted to be higher than the current index by as much as 148% by the end of the 21st *** the scenarios of SRES A2a and B2a,both the chance of extremely high fire danger occurrence and the number of days of extremely high fire danger occurrence was predicted to increase in the study *** is anticipated that the number of extremely high fire danger days would increase from 44 days in 1980s to 53-75 days by the end of the 21st century.

A molecular insight into coke formation process of vacuum residue in thermal cracking reaction

Understanding the coking behaviors has been considered to be really essential for developing better vacuum residue processing technologies.A battery of thermal cracking tests of typical vacuum residue at 410℃ with various reaction time were performed to evaluate the coke formation *** total yields of ideal components including naphtha,atmospheric gas oil(AGO)and vacuum gas oil(VGO)of thermal cracking reactions increased from 10.89%to 40.81%,and the conversion ratios increased from8.05%to 43.33%with increasing the reaction time from 10 to 70 *** asphaltene content increased from 12.14%to a maximum of 22.39%and then decreased,and this maximum of asphaltene content occurred at the end of the coking induction *** asphaltenes during the coking induction period,at the end and after coking induction period of those tested thermal cracking reactions were characterized to disclose the structure changing rules for coke formation process,and the coke formation pathways were discussed to reveal the coke formation process at molecular level.

he single crystal of a tetra-component heteropoly compound Mo_2Co_3O_(68) (H_2O_2)_2 ] [MoO_6]. 15(H_2O) was obtained in an aqueous solution with Na_2MoO_4 , Na_2WO_4, Co (NO_3)_2 and H_3PO_4 as starting materials. The erystallo-graphic data determined by means of X-ray diffraction analysis are: triclinic sys -tem,space group Pl ,Z= 2:a =1.9227(9) nm,b=1.9359(7)nm , c=1.2565(3)nm . a = 91. 43 (3), The differential thermal and thermogravimetric analysis indicated the thermal stbility of the compound and its spectral properties were characterized by IR and XPS measurements .
