The silk gland of the silkworm Bombyx mori serves as a valuable model for investigating the morphological structure and physiological functions of *** studies have demonstrated the notable regulatory role of let-7 microRNA in the silk gland,but its specific molecular mechanism remains to be elucidated across different segments of this *** this study,we further investigated the functional mechanism of let-7 in the middle silk gland(MSG).The MSG of a let-7 knockout strain was analyzed using a combined proteomic and metabolomic technique,revealing the enrichment of differential proteins and metabolites in the DNA synthesis and energy metabolism *** was identified as a novel target gene of let-7 in the MSG,and its downregulation inhibited the proliferation of BmN4-SID1 cells,which is exactly opposite to the role of let-7 in these ***/Cas9 genome editing and transgenic technologies were employed to manipulate BmCentrin in the *** of BmCentrin led to severe MSG atrophy,whereas the overexpression of BmCentrin resulted in beaded *** measurements of these knockout or overexpression strains revealed significant changes in the expression levels of sericin protein genes,the weight of the cocoon and the mechanical properties of the *** the biological role of BmCentrin in the silk gland offers valuable insights for elucidating the molecular mechanisms by which let-7 controls silk gland development and silk protein synthesis in the silkworm.

This article summarizes the epidemiological characteristics and clinical manifest-ations of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).The incidence of NAFLD has been increased dramatically and become the leading cause of chronic liver disease *** addition to its adverse outcomes of liver fibrosis,cirrhosis,and hepatocellular carcinoma,and related complications,NAFLD has recently been found to be associated with the high-risk extrahepatic carcinomas,such as various types of lung cancer(i.e.,lung adenocarcinoma,squamous cell carcinoma,and small cell lung cancer).The presence of hepatic steatosis also predisposes lung cancer to liver metastasis,but has better response to immune checkpoint *** other factors(i.e.,gender,smoking,etc.)are associated with NAFLD and lung cancer remains *** also comment on the reciprocal rela-tionships between NAFLD and components of metabolic *** meta-bolic syndrome components are suggested to facilitate lung cancer development via activating insulin/insulin-like growth factor *** addition,suppressed anti-tumor immunity and accelerated tumor progression could be attributed to the cell-specific metabolic reprogramming in condition of high-fat diet and related *** findings may reveal the role of NAFLD in pulmonary carcinoma and help develop new treatment strategies for this disease.

It is of great significance to accurately and rapidly identify shale lithofacies in relation to the evaluation and prediction of sweet spots for shale oil and gas reservoirs. To address the problem of low resolution in logging curves, this study establishes a grayscale-phase model based on high-resolution grayscale curves using clustering analysis algorithms for shale lithofacies identification, working with the Shahejie Formation, Bohai Bay Basin, China. The grayscale phase is defined as the sum of absolute grayscale and relative amplitude as well as their features. The absolute grayscale is the absolute magnitude of the gray values and is utilized for evaluating the material composition(mineral composition + total organic carbon) of shale, while the relative amplitude is the difference between adjacent gray values and is used to identify the shale structure type. The research results show that the grayscale phase model can identify shale lithofacies well, and the accuracy and applicability of this model were verified by the fitting relationship between absolute grayscale and shale mineral composition, as well as corresponding relationships between relative amplitudes and laminae development in shales. Four lithofacies are identified in the target layer of the study area: massive mixed shale, laminated mixed shale, massive calcareous shale and laminated calcareous shale. This method can not only effectively characterize the material composition of shale, but also numerically characterize the development degree of shale laminae, and solve the problem that difficult to identify millimeter-scale laminae based on logging curves, which can provide technical support for shale lithofacies identification, sweet spot evaluation and prediction of complex continental lacustrine basins.

The activation of the sirtuin1(SIRT1)/nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)/heme oxygenase 1(HO-1) pathway has been shown to mitigate oxidative stress-induced apoptosis and mitochondrial damage by reducing reactive oxygen species(ROS) levels. Clinical trials have demonstrated that Zhongfeng Xingnao Liquid(ZFXN) ameliorates post-stroke cognitive impairment(PSCI). However, the underlying mechanism, particularly whether it involves protecting mitochondria and inhibiting apoptosis through the SIRT1/Nrf2/HO-1 pathway, remains unclear. This study employed an oxygen-glucose deprivation(OGD) cell model using SHSY5Y cells and induced PSCI in rats through modified bilateral carotid artery ligation(2VO).The effects of ZFXN on learning and memory, neuroprotective activity, mitochondrial function, oxidative stress, and the SIRT1/Nrf2/HO-1 pathway were evaluated both in vivo and in vitro. Results indicated that ZFXN significantly increased the B-cell lymphoma 2(Bcl2)/Bcl2-associated X(Bax) ratio, reduced terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated d UTP nickend-labeling(TUNEL)+ cells, and markedly improved cognition, synaptic plasticity, and neuronal function in the hippocampus and cortex. Furthermore, ZFXN exhibited potent antioxidant activity, evidenced by decreased ROS and malondialdehyde(MDA) content and increased superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase(CAT), and glutathione(GSH) levels. ZFXN also demonstrated considerable enhancement of mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP), Tom 20 fluorescence intensity, adenosine triphosphate(ATP) and energy charge(EC) levels, and mitochondrial complex Ⅰ and Ⅲ activity, thereby inhibiting mitochondrial damage. Additionally,ZFXN significantly increased SIRT1 activity and elevated SIRT1, nuclear Nrf2, and HO-1 ***, these effects were substantially counteracted when SIRT1 was suppressed by the inhibitor EX-527 in vitro. Accurately predicting the powder factor during blasting is essential for sustainable production planning in low-grade *** research presents a method for predicting powder factor based on the heterogeneity of rock mass rating(RMR).Considering a low-grade metal mine as an example,this study exploited geostatistical methods to obtain independent RMR for each block unit.A three-dimensional spatial distribution model for the powder factor was developed on the basis of the relationships between the RMR and the powder ***,models for blasting cost and mining value were built and employed to optimize the open-pit *** multi-variable model based on the RMR performed well in predicting the powder factor,achieving a correlation coefficient of 0.88(root mean square error of 4.3)and considerably outperforming the uniaxial compressive strength *** model optimization,the mean size and standard deviation of the fragments in the blast pile decreased by 8.5%and 35.1%,respectively,whereas the boulder yield and its standard deviation decreased by 33.3%and 58.8%,***,optimizing the open-pit limit using this method reduced the amount of rock,increased the amount of ore,and lowered blasting costs,thereby enhancing the economic efficiency of the *** study provides valuable insights for blasting design and mining decisions,demonstrating the advantages and potential applications of powder factor prediction based on the heterogeneity of rock mass quality.

As embodied intelligence(EI), large language models(LLMs), and cloud computing continue to advance, Industry5.0 facilitates the development of industrial artificial intelligence(Ind AI) through cyber-physical-social systems(CPSSs) with a human-centric focus. These technologies are organized by the system-wide approach of Industry 5.0, in order to empower the manufacturing industry to achieve broader societal goals of job creation, economic growth, and green production. This survey first provides a general framework of smart manufacturing in the context of Industry 5.0. Wherein, the embodied agents, like robots, sensors, and actuators, are the carriers for Ind AI, facilitating the development of the self-learning intelligence in individual entities, the collaborative intelligence in production lines and factories(smart systems), and the swarm intelligence within industrial clusters(systems of smart systems). Through the framework of CPSSs, the key technologies and their possible applications for supporting the single-agent, multi-agent and swarm-agent embodied Ind AI have been reviewed, such as the embodied perception, interaction, scheduling, multi-mode large language models, and collaborative training. Finally, to stimulate future research in this area, the open challenges and opportunities of applying Industry 5.0 to smart manufacturing are identified and discussed. The perspective of Industry 5.0-driven manufacturing industry aims to enhance operational productivity and efficiency by seamlessly integrating the virtual and physical worlds in a human-centered manner, thereby fostering an intelligent, sustainable, and resilient industrial landscape.

In addition to being driven by tidal winds,the sporadic E(Es)layers are modulated by gravity waves(GWs),although the effects are not yet comprehensively *** this article,we discuss the effects of mesoscale GWs on the Es layers determined by using a newly developed model,MISE-1D(one-dimensional Model of Ionospheric Sporadic E),with low numerical dissipation and high *** by the wind fields resolved by the high-resolution version of the Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model with thermosphere and ionosphere extension(WACCM-X),the MISE-1D simulation revealed that GWs significantly influence the evolution of the Es layer above 100 km but have a very limited effect at lower *** effects of GWs are diverse and complex,generally including the generation of fluctuating wavelike structures on the Es layer with frequencies similar to those of the *** mesoscale GWs can also cause increases in the density of Es layers,or they can disperse or diffuse the Es layers and increase their *** addition,the presence of GWs is a key factor in sustaining the Es layers in some cases.

Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) with organic electrodes are an emerging research direction due to the sustainability of organic materials based on elements like C,H,O,and sodium ***,organic electrode materials for SIBs are mainly used as cathodes because of their relatively high redox potentials(>1 V).Organic electrodes with low redox potential that can be used as anode are ***,a novel organic anode material (tetrasodium 1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylate,Na_(4)TDC) has been developed with low redox potential (<0.7 V) and excellent cyclic *** three-sodium storage mechanism was demonstrated with various in-situ/ex-situ spectroscopy and theoretical calculations,showing a high capacity of 208 mAh/g and an average decay rate of merely 0.022%per ***,the Na_(4)TDC-hard carbon composite can further acquire improved capacity and cycling stability for 1200 cycles even with a high mass loading of up to 20 mg cm^(-2).By pairing with a thick Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)cathode (20.6 mg cm^(-2)),the as-fabricated full cell exhibited high operating voltage (2.8 V),excellent rate performance and cycling stability with a high capacity retention of 88.7% after 200 cycles,well highlighting the Na_(4)TDC anode material for SIBs.
