One-year observation of the mixing states of oxygenated organics-containing single particles in Guangzhou,China

Oxygenated organic molecules(OOMs)play an important role in the formation of secondary organic aerosols(SOAs),but the mixing states of OOMs are still *** study investigates the mixing states of OOM-containing single particles from the measurements taken using a single particle aerosol mass spectrometer in Guangzhou,China in ***,the particle counts of OOM particles and the mass concentration of secondary organic carbon(SOC)exhibited similar temporal trends throughout the entire *** OOM particles were consistently enriched in secondary ions,including ^(16)O^(−),^(26)CN^(−),^(46)NO_(2)^(−),^(62)NO_(3)^(−),and ^(97)HSO_(4)^(−).In contrast,the number fractions and diurnal patterns of OOM particles among the total detected particles showed similar distributions in August and October;however,the SOC ratios in fine particulate matter were quite different,suggesting that there were different mixing states of single-particle oxygenated *** addition,further classification results indicated that the OOM particles were more aged in October than August,even though the SOC ratios were higher in ***,the distribution of hydrocarbon fragments exhibited a notable decrease from January to October,emphasizing the more aged state of the organics in *** addition,the sharp increase in elemental carbon(EC)-OOM particles in the afternoon in October suggests the potential role of EC in the aging process of ***,in contrast to the bulk analysis of SOC mass concentration,the mixing states of the OOM particles provide insights into the formation process of SOAs in field studies.

Thinning is an effective management step for sustainable forest development,yet less attention is paid to the restoration of soil microbiota after *** this study,both abundant and rare soil microbial communities(i.e.,bacterial,fungal),were evaluated under various thinning treatments in a mixed stand of Cunninghamia lanceolata and Sassafras tzumu using Mi Seq *** did not significantly change either abundant or rare bacterial and fungal community composition,but affected their alpha *** Shannon–Wiener indexes of rare fungal taxa under medium thinning were significantly lower than in the light thinning(P<0.05 level).Xanthobacteraceae dominated the abundant bacterial taxa,and Saitozyma and Mortierlla the abundant fungal *** most common rare bacterial taxa varied;there was no prevalent rare fungal taxa under different *** addition,soil available nitrogen,total phosphorus,and p H had significant effects on rare bacterial ***,especially available phosphorus,but not nitrogen,affected abundant and rare soil *** results indicate that soil properties rather than plant factors affect abundant and rare microbial communities in soils of mixed ***,through mediating soil properties,influences both abundant and rare bacterial and fungal communities in the mixed *** and *** stand.

High photoluminescence Ag-In-Ga-S quantum dots based on ZnX_(2)-treated surface passivation

Quaternary Ag-In-Ga-S(AIGS)quantum dot(QD)is considered a promising,spectral-tunable,and environmentally friendly luminescent display ***,the more complex surface defect states of AIGS QDs resulting from the coexistence of multiple elements lead to a low(<60%)photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY).Here,we develop a novel convenient method to introduce Z-type ligands ZnX_(2)(X=Cl,Br,I)for passivating the surface defects of AIGS QDs to dramatically enhance the PLQY and stability without affecting the crystalline structure and *** show that the addition of ZnCl_(2) during the purified process of AIGS QDs leads to a 3-fold increase of PLQY(from 28.5% to 87%).Impressively,the highest PLQY is up to a recorded value of 92%,which is comparable to typical heavy metal *** dynamics studies have shown that the rapid annihilation process of excitons in treated QDs is *** also confirm that the improvement in PLQY is a result of the effective passivation of the non-coordinating atom on the QD surface by building a new bonding between sulfur dangling and Zn2+.The realization of high PLQY will further promote the application of AIGS QDs in luminescent displays.

A novel efficient Cu_(2)WS_(4)/MoS_(2) step-scheme(S-scheme)heterojunction photocatalyst was constructed for the first time and applied in the removal of environmental *** the as-prepared photocatalysts,the Cu_(2)WS_(4)/MoS_(2)-8%heterojunc tion photoc atalyst demonstrates the optimal photocatalytic performance,with the catalytic oxidation efficiency of tetracycline(TC)and the catalytic reduction efficiency of Cr^(6+)reaching 93.3%and 82.1%,*** excellent catalytic properties of Cu_(2)WS_(4)/MoS_(2) heterojunction photocatalysts are attributed to the effective separation pathways of charges and the presence of S-scheme heterojunctions,together with stronger redox *** is speculated that the photogenerated carrier migration path of the Cu_(2)WS_(4)/MoS_(2) catalyst follows the typical S-scheme photocatalytic mechanism,which is verified by the in-depth experimental study and simulated calculations including the electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)analysis,free radical quenching experiments,charge density distribution,and simulated built-in electric field formation at the interface,which acts as driving force to promote the separation of photoinduced electrons and ***,the photocatalytic mechanism of S-scheme photogenerated carrier migration for the Cu_(2)WS_(4)/MoS_(2) catalyst is revealed based on the systematic experimental techniques and simulated calculations,accounting for its superior photocatalytic oxidation and reduction *** study provides inspiring implications to develop high-efficient S-scheme photocatalytic systems for versatile applications in solarenergy conversion.

Anti-psoriasis molecular targets and active components discovery of Optimized Yinxieling Formula via affinity-purified strategy

Psoriasis,a prevalent inherited skin condition,involves an inflammatory response as a key pathogenic *** Optimized Yinxieling Formula(OYF),rooted in traditional Chinese medicine,is extensively utilized in clinical settings to treat *** previous studies have demonstrated OYF’s significant anti-inflammatory effects in psoriasis,its potential molecular targets and active components remain *** study aimed to unveil the anti-psoriasis molecular targets and active components of *** findings indicated that OYF extract markedly reduced the production of several inflammatory mediators,including IL-23,nitric oxide,TNF-α,and IL-1β,in LPS-induced RAW264.7 *** synthesized OYF extract-crosslinked beads to isolate pharmacological targets from RAW264.7 lysates using an affinity purification strategy,known as Target *** enriched target proteins were subsequently identified via LC-MS/MS,followed by bioinformatics analysis to map the psoriasis-associated pathway-gene *** identified a total of 76 potential target proteins,which were highly associated with mRNA transcription *** particular,pathway-gene network analysis revealed that the IL-23 inflammatory pathway was involved in the anti-psoriasis effect of OYF *** further utilized a target protein-based affinity capture strategy,combined with LC-MS and SPR analysis,to globally screen OYF’s active components,focusing on the mRNA transcription regulator,fused in sarcoma(FUS).This process led to the identification of umbelliferone,vanillic acid,protocatechuic acid,gentisic acid,and echinacoside as key compounds targeting FUS to inhibit IL-23 ***,we formulated a compound cocktail(CpdC),which significantly reduced psoriasis area and severity index(PASI)scores and the expressions of IL-23 and Ki67 in an imiquimod(IMQ)-induced psoriasis mouse ***,our study elucidates the primary molecular targets and active components of OYF,offeri

Cationic surface polarization centers on ionic carbon nitride for efficient solar-driven H2O2 production and pollutant abatement

Solar-driven H2O2production and emerging organic pollutants（EOPs） elimination are of great significance from the perspective of environmental sustainability. The efficiency of the photocatalytic reaction system is the key challenge to be addressed. In this work, the strategy of constructing surface ionic local polarization centers to enhance the exciton dissociation of the polymeric photocatalytic is *** bipyridinium cation（TMAP） is complexed on a K+-incorporated carbon nitride（CNK） framework, and the combination of local polarization centers both on the surface（bipyridinium cation） and bulk（K+cation） contributes to a superior photocatalytic H2O2production performance, affording a remarkable H2O2generation rate of 46.8 μmol h-1mg-1and a high apparent quantum yield（AQY） value of 77.5% under irradiation of 405 nm photons. As substantiated experimentally by steady state/transient spectroscopy techniques, the surface local polarization centers increase the population of the long-lived trapped electrons, and thereby promote the interfacial charge transfer process for chemical conversion reaction. The strategy is potentially applicable to the design of a wide range of efficient solar-to-chemical conversion systems.

Sulfide solid electrolytes(SEs)have attracted ever-increasing attention due to their superior roomtemperature ionic conductivity(~10^(-2) S cm^(-1)).Additionally,the integration of sulfide SEs and highvoltage cathodes is promising to achieve higher energy ***,the incompatible interfaces between sulfide SEs and high-voltage cathodes have been one of the key factors limiting their ***,this review presents a critical summarization of the interfacial issues in all-solid-state lithium batteries based on sulfide SEs and high-voltage cathodes and proposes strategies to stabilize the electrolyte/cathode ***,the future research direction of electrolyte/cathode interfaces and application prospects of powder technology in sulfide-based ASSLBs were also discussed.
