Aim to linking the variability of drought in northwest China to the oceanic influence of North Atlantic SSTs at the background of global warming and at the regional climate change shifting stages, year aridity index variations in northwest China and summer North Atlantic sea surface temperature （SST） variations are examined for the 44 a period of 1961-2004 using singular value decomposition （SVD） analysis. Results show that the SST anomalies （SSTA）in the North Atlantic in summer reflected three basic models. The first SVD mode of SST pattern shows a dipole - like variation with the positive center located at southwest and negative center at northeast of extratropical North Atlantic. And it strongly relates to the positive trend in AI variation in northwest China. The second coupled modes display the coherent positive anomalies in extratropical North Atlantic SST and the marked opposite trend of AI variability between north and south of Xinjiang. In addition, the lag correlation analysis of the first mode of SSTA and geopotential heights at 500 hPa variations also shows that the indication of the former influencing the latter configuration, which result in higher air temperature and less precipitation when the SSTA in the North Atlantic Ocean in summer motivated Eurasian circulation of EA pattern, further to influence the wet - dry variations in northwest China by the ocean-to - atmosphere forcing.

A new series of 2-(5-methyL2,3-dioxoindolin-1 y)acetamide derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for their anticonvulsive activity in a pentylenetetrazole (PTZ)-evoked convulsion model and antidepressant activity in the forced swimming test (FST) model. Eleven synthesized compounds were found to he protective against PTZ-induced seizure and showed the anticonvulsant activity. In addition, four of the synthesized compounds (41, 4m, 4p and 4q) showed potent antidepressant-like activity. Among these compounds, compound 41 was found to have the most potent antidepressant-like activity, and significantly reduced the duration of immobility time at 100 mg/kg dose level when compared to the vehicle control, which is similar to the reference drug lluoxetine. Rechargeable aqueous magnesium-ion batteries(MIBs)show great promise for low-cost,high-safety,and high-performance energy storage *** manganese dioxide(MnO_(2))is considered as a potential electrode material for aqueous MIBs,the low electrical conductivity and unsatisfactory cycling performance greatly hinder the practical application of MnO_(2)*** overcome these problems,herein,a novel Mg-intercalation engineering approach for MnO_(2)electrode to be used in aqueous MIBs is presented,wherein the structural regulation and electrochemical performance of the Mg-intercalation MnO_(2)(denoted as MMO)electrode were thoroughly investigated by density functional theory(DFT)calculations and in-situ Raman *** results demonstrate that the Mg intercalation is essential to adjusting the charge/ion state and electronic band gap of MMO electrode,as well as the highly reversible phase transition of the MMO electrode during the charging-discharging *** of these remarkable characteristics,the MMO electrode can be capable of delivering a significant specific capacity of~419.8 mAh·g^(−1),while exhibiting a good cycling capability over 1000 cycles in 1 M aqueous MgCl_(2) *** the basis of such MMO electrode,we have successfully developed a soft-packaging aqueous MIB with excellent electrochemical properties,revealing its huge application potential as the efficient energy storage devices.

The nonlinear process of microwave heating chemical reaction is studied by means of numerical simulation. Especially,the variation of temperature in terms of space and time,as well as the hotspot and thermal runaway phenomena are discussed. Suppose the heated object is a cylinder and the incident electromagnetic(EM) wave is plane wave,the problem turns out to be a coupling calculation of 2D multi-physical fields. The integral equation of EM field is solved using the method of moment(MoM) and the thermal conduction equation is solved using a semi-analysis method. Moreover,a method to determine the equivalent complex permittivity of reactant under the heating is presented in order to perform the calculation. The numerical results for water and a dummy chemical reaction(A) show that the hotspot is a ubiquitous phenomenon in microwave heating process. When the radius of the heated object is small,the highest temperature occurs somewhere inside the object due to the concentration of the EM wave. While the radius increases to a certain degree,the highest temperature occurs somewhere close to the surface due to the skin effect,and the whole high temperature area shows crescent-shaped. That is in accordance with basic physical principles. If the radius is kept the same in the heating process,the hotspot position of water does not change,while that of reaction A with several radius values varies. For either water or A,the thermal runaway phenomenon in which small difference of radius results in large difference of highest temperature,occurs easily when the radius is small. On the contrary,it is not evident when the radius is large. Moreover,it is notable that the highest temperature in water shows oscillating decreasing trend with the increase of radius,but in reaction A almost decreases monotonously. Further study should be performed to determine if this difference is only an occasional occurrence.

Cost-effective,safe,and highly performing energy storage devices require rechargeable batteries,and among various options,aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)have shown high promise in this *** a cathode material for the aqueous ZIBs,manganese dioxide(MnO_(2))has been found to be promising,but certain drawbacks of this cathode material are slow charge-transfer capability and poor cycling ***,a novel design of graphene quantum dots(GQDs)integrated with Zn-intercalated MnO_(2)nanosheets is put forward to construct a 3D nanoflower-like GQDs@ZnxMnO_(2)composite cathode for aqueous *** synergistic coupling of GQDs modification with Zn intercalation provides abundant active sites and conductive medium to facilitate the ion/electron transmission,as well as ensure the GQDs@ZnxMnO_(2)composite cathode with enhanced charge-transfer capability and high electrochemical reversibility,which are elucidated by experiment results and in-situ Raman *** impressive properties endow the GQDs@ZnxMnO_(2)composite cathode with superior aqueous Zn^(2+) storage capacity(~403.6 mAh·g^(−1)),excellent electrochemical kinetics,and good structural *** actual applications,the fabricated aqueous ZIBs can deliver a substantial energy density(226.8 W·h·kg^(−1)),a remarkable power density(650 W·kg^(−1)),and long-term cycle performance,further stimulating their potential application as efficient electrochemical storage devices for various energy-related fields.

Okadaic acid(OA),a small molecule substance derived from shellfish,is one of the most widely distributed marine toxins with acute symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea after accidental *** this,there is an urgently need for sensitive and reliable methods to detect OA in real shellfish *** this study,a simple aptasensor based on screen-printed carbon electrode(SPCE)with modification of chitosan(CS)and gold nanoparticles(Au NPs)was designed for electrochemical determination of OA,and the electrode surface was modified with Au NPs by potential-sweeping electrodeposition,which greatly improved the electrochemical *** entire detection and characterization process were carried out by cyclic voltammetry(CV)with a linear correlation in the range of 0.01-100 ng/m L and a limit of detection(LOD)of 6.7 pg/m ***,recovery rates of 92.3-116%were obtained demonstrating excellent accuracy through the recovery trial of mussel and scallop samples.

Thylakoid(Tk)membranes are of unique superiority in photodynamic therapy(PDT)because they not only carry abundant chlorophylls containing photosensitizer porphyrin but also can produce O_(2).However,the current therapeutic performance of Tk is dramatically limited because of their poor tumor targeting and inefficient O_(2) ***,we report an immunomodulatory bio-nanovesicle of Tk membranes fused with M1 macrophage-derived extracellular vesicles(M1 EV)for efficient PDT of *** hybrid nanovesicle Tk@M1 was prepared by squeezing the Tk membranes of spinach with M1 *** systemic study confirmed that Tk@M1 can not only actively accumulate in tumors but also effectively regulate the inactive immune microenvironment of *** activated"hot"tumors significantly enhance the PDT efficacy of Tk@M1 attributed to the increased O_(2) from catalase catalyzed decomposition of augmented H_(2)O_(2),providing a novel idea about constructing natural systems for effective tumor treatment.

It is necessary to explore potent therapeutic agents via regulating gut microbiota and metabolism to combat Parkinson's disease(PD).Dioscin,a bioactive steroidal saponin,shows various ***,its effects and mechanisms against PD are *** this study,dioscin dramatically alleviated neuroinflammation and oxidative stress,and restored the disorders of mice induced by 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP).16 S rDNA sequencing assay demonstrated that dioscin reversed MPTP-induced gut dysbiosis to decrease Firmicutes-to-Bacteroidetes ratio and the abundances of Enterococcus,Streptococcus,Bacteroides and Lactobacillus genera,which further inhibited bile salt hydrolase(BSH)activity and blocked bile acid(BA)*** microbiome transplantation test showed that the anti-PD effect of dioscin was gut *** addition,non-targeted fecal metabolomics assays revealed many differential metabolites in adjusting steroid biosynthesis and primary bile acid ***,targeted bile acid metabolomics assay indicated that dioscin increased the levels of ursodeoxycholic acid,tauroursodeoxycholic acid,taurodeoxycholic acid and bmuricholic acid in feces and *** addition,ursodeoxycholic acid administration markedly improved the protective effects of dioscin against PD in *** test indicated that dioscin significantly up-regulated the levels of takeda G protein-coupled receptor 5(TGR5),glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor(GLP-1R),GLP-1,superoxide dismutase(SOD),and down-regulated NADPH oxidases 2(NOX2)and nuclear factor-kappaB(NF-kB)*** data indicated that dioscin ameliorated PD phenotype by restoring gut dysbiosis and regulating bile acid-mediated oxidative stress and neuroinflammation via targeting GLP-1 signal in MPTP-induced PD mice,suggesting that the compound should be considered as a prebiotic agent to treat PD in the future.
