The conventional total knee arthroplasty （TKA） is the most successful surgical procedure for relieving pain and improving poor function in patients with advanced arthritis. However, postoperative pain and delayed rehabilitation are the greatest complaints for the conventional approach. Recently, various minimally invasive surgery （MIS） TKA-techniques have been developed to address the concern. MIS-TKAs have shown less postoperative pain, shorter hospital stays, and quicker recovery after surgery.

Contamination of deoxynivalenol（DON） in grains is common worldwide and pigs are particularly susceptible to this mycotoxin. The distribution of DON in porcine tissues following intravenous administration was investigated in this study. Fifteen pigs were randomly divided into three groups. Animals in groups A and B were administrated with DON at the dose of 250 and 750 μg kg–1 body weight, respectively, while group C served as blank control. Plasma, bile and 27 tissues were collected at 30 min post-administration. DON concentrations in all samples were tested using high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry（HPLC-MS/MS）. To observe the distribution of DON in tissues, these samples were further subjected to the immunohistochemical analyses. Totally, the bile and 13 tissues were sampled for DON-based detection, including kidney, mesenteric lymph nodes, muscle, stomach, jejunum, colon, plasma, spleen, rectum, cecum, liver, ileum, and duodenum. No significant difference was observed for the concentrations of DON in duodenum, ileum and liver samples between groups A and B; while the DON concentrations in cecum and rectum of group B were significantly higher（P-value 〈0.05） than those in group A. In addition, the DON concentrations in stomach, jejunum, colon, mesenteric lymph nodes, muscle, kidney, spleen, bile, and plasma of group B were remarkably higher than those of group A（P-value〈0.01）. Levels of DON in other 14 tissues including medulla oblongata, midbrain, diencephalon, pons, tip and tongue body, tongue, soft palate, tonsils, pharyngeal mucosa, oral buccal mucosa, thymus, thyroid, esophagus and adrenal gland were all below the limit of detection. The results of immunohistochemistry showed that 11 tissue samples（medullaoblongata, tonsil, adrenal medulla, thyroid gland, thyroid, stomach, duodenum, jejunum, kidney, spleen, and mesenteric lymph nodes） were positive and DON was mainly distributed around blood vessels in these tissues. Objective:To validate two proposed coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)prognosis models,analyze the characteristics of different models,consider the performance of models in predicting different outcomes,and provide new insights into the development and use of artificial intelligence(AI)predictive models in clinical decision-making for COVID-19 and other diseases.Materials and Methods:We compared two proposed prediction models for COVID-19 prognosis that use a decision tree and logistic regression modeling.We evaluated the effectiveness of different model-building strategies using laboratory tests and/or clinical record data,their sensitivity and robustness to the timings of records used and the presence of missing data,and their predictive performance and capabilities in single-site and multicenter settings.Results:The predictive accuracies of the two models after retraining were improved to 93.2% and 93.9%,compared with that of the models directly used,with accuracies of 84.3% and 87.9%,indicating that the prediction models could not be used directly and require retraining based on actual data.In addition,based on the prediction model,new features obtained by model comparison and literature evidence were transferred to integrate the new models with better performance.Conclusions:Comparing the characteristics and differences of datasets used in model training,effective model verification,and a fusion of models is necessary in improving the performance of AI models.

Reverse Transformation in[110]-Oriented Face-Centered-Cubic Single Crystals Studied by Atomic Simulations

Bidirectional transformations,which are achieved by triggering both dynamic forward transformation from the face-centered-cubic(fcc)austenite to the hexagonal-close-packed(hcp)martensite and the reverse transformation from martensite to austenite during cold deformation,have been previously reported in FeMnCoCr-based high-entropy alloys(HEAs).This leads to the permanent refinement of microstructure and hence enhances the work-hardening capacity of alloys.In order to reveal the microscopic mechanism of the reverse transformation in HEAs under deformation,the effect of the sample aspect ratio,i.e.,Z/X,on the evolution of deformation systems in the equi-atomic FeMnCoCrNi alloy with[110]orientation during uniaxial tensile loading along the Z direction is investigated by atomic simulations in this study.When the aspect ratio is 0.5,the reverse transformation is more significant compared with other models,while a good plasticity can still be maintained.We then compare the micromechanical behavior of three fcc single crystals,i.e.,FeMnCoCrNi,FeCuCoCrNi,and pure Cu.The results show that the stacking fault energy plays a major role in the activation of different deformation mechanisms;however,the lattice distortion in the HEA does not significantly affect the activation of deformation systems.Furthermore,for all materials dislocation slip leads to the softening,while strain hardening is attributed to the initiation of multiple deformation mechanisms.The Shockley partials slip leads to bidirectional phase transition,twinning and detwinning in the three materials.Thus,the reverse transformation can occur in all metallic materials where the fcc to hcp phase transformation is the dominant deformation mechanism.These findings contribute to an in-depth understanding of the deformation mechanism in fcc-structured materials under severe plastic deformation and provide theoretical guidance for the design of alloys with superior strength–plasticity combinations.

Social hierarchy is a general self-organizational scheme in animal societies in which each member achieves a certain status of domination or subordination when getting access to resources,with profound consequences for survival,health,reproductive success,and multiple behaviors[1,2].The prefrontal cortex(PFC)was recognized as a central regulator of neuronal circuits determining the formation of social hierarchy;brain areas upstream of the PFC convey information about social status,and downstream brain regions execute dominance behavior[3].Social deficits have been suggested to be due to an elevation of excitatory/inhibitory(E/l)balance within the mouse dorsomedial(dm)PFC[4].A compensatory increase of inhibitory cell excitability partially rescued social deficits caused by such a disturbance of E/l balance.

营养繁殖是无性系禾草维持种群更新的主要方式之一,产生的潜在种群在预测种群空间结构和动态中发挥着重要作用。围栏封育和长期刈割等利用方式可以直接或间接影响植物的生长发育和繁殖策略。本研究以松嫩草地常见优势种羊草和伴生种野古草为研究对象,对围栏封育和长期刈割下两种禾草的分蘖节与根茎产生潜在种群的组成、大小和营养繁殖力进行对比分析。结果表明:两种利用方式下两种禾草的潜在种群均由分蘖节与根茎产生的芽和苗组成。羊草和野古草潜在种群分别由3和2个龄级组成,均为1龄潜在种群所占比例最高。相比围栏封育,长期刈割显著促进两种禾草分蘖节和根茎上的芽输出成苗,并且对羊草的促进作用高于野古草,羊草的分蘖节与根茎产生的总苗数在两种利用方式下均显著高于野古草。长期刈割显著促进羊草潜在种群的形成,不利于野古草潜在种群的形成。长期刈割能促进两种禾草种群的分株和根茎营养繁殖力,但未达到显著水平。羊草在围栏封育中采取产生大量芽和部分苗以增加潜在种群、在长期刈割中采取产生大量苗以顺利越冬成株的营养繁殖对策;野古草在围栏封育中采取只产生芽、而在长期刈割中采取产生相近比例芽和苗的营养繁殖对策。总的来说,两种利用方式下羊草与野古草种群均采取年轻龄级分蘖节与根茎具有更旺盛营养繁殖力以及长期刈割促进苗形成的相同适应策略,同时两种禾草在形成潜在种群比例上又存在着营养繁殖对策的差异,这可能是其分别成为本研究区内优势种和伴生种的主要原因之一。

Uncertainty aversion and farmers' innovative seed adoption:Evidence from a field experiment in rural China

Based on the microdata of 705 wheat farmers in the Loess Plateau, this study empirically analyzes the impact of uncertainty on farmers' adoption of innovative seeds using a field experiment. The results indicate that farmers are generally ambiguity-averse and risk-averse. In addition, farmers with higher ambiguity aversion and risk aversion are less likely to adopt innovative wheat seeds, where their risk aversion plays a dominant role. Enhancing information access will alleviate the negative influence of ambiguity aversion on farmers' adoption of innovative seeds, and interlinked insurance and credit contracts will be beneficial to ease the adverse effect of risk aversion on the adoption of innovative wheat seeds. Meanwhile, heterogeneity analysis reveals that the inhibitory effects of ambiguity aversion and risk aversion on innovative seed adoption are more significant among farmers with lower education and household income.The government can establish both ex-ante and ex-post relevant guarantee mechanisms to help farmers preferably cope with various uncertainties in the production process, remitting farmers' ambiguity aversion and risk aversion to enhance new agricultural technology adoption rates.

Pleasant touch sensation derived from hugging,cuddling,holding hands,or massage therapy can provide powerful benefits for patients with psychiatric disorders and play a crucial role in reducing pain,alleviating stress,and strengthening social bonds.Revealing the underlying mechanisms of pleasant touch is an attractive topic in neuroscience[1].The peripheral pathway for pleasant touch is mainly coded by C-tactile(CT)afferents,activated by touches with velocities between 1 and 10cm/s[2].
