Herschel-Bulkley模型(即屈服幂率模型)可用于研究非牛顿流体的流动特性,并能在大范围剪切速率条件下得到准确的预测结果。为此,采用有限体积方法(FVm),研究了内部管柱旋转及流变参数(屈服应力τ0、稠度系数K和流性指数n)对偏心环空(E=0.5)中Herschel-Bulkley流体层流区域的轴向、切向速度剖面与压降梯度的影响。研究结果表明,内部管柱转速从100 r/min增加至400 r/min时,会引起最大轴向速度增加,增幅为120%;较低的流性指数(n=0.2)会引起偏心环空宽区域出现二次流;内部管柱转速及流变参数的变化对偏心环空宽区域切向速度剖面有不良影响;内部管柱转速从0增加至400 r/min时,会引起不同偏心环空(E=0.2,0.4,0.6和0.8)内幂率流体压降梯度降低,降低幅度为10%。

In this work, we have developed an electrochemical sensor for nitrite detection, based on a polyoxometalate (POm) namely mono-lacunary keggin anion [SiW11O39]8﹣ cited as (SiW11). Electrochemical characterization of SiW11 shows two-step reduction processes, with formal potentials of ﹣0.5 V (I) and ﹣0.68 V (II). Oppositely charged polyelectrolyte (poly (allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH)) and (SiW11) were assembled alternately to modify glassy carbon electrode. The electrochemical behavior of the modified electrode was studied in detail using cyclic voltammetry (CV). The results showed that SiW11/PAH/GC electrode present good electrocatalytic activity for the reduction of nitrite. The sensor showed a dynamic range from 100 μm to 3.6 mmof nitrite and no interference from other classical anions. Experimental factors that affect electron-transfer rate in these films, such as pH effect and layers number, were systematically analyzed.

The advent of technology in the world has led to enormous, varying economic and social changes. Those changes have influenced the climate balance, which leads to global temperature rise, hence oceanic expansion and melting glaciers. These various phenomena caused the variation in the mean sea level. Thus, in this study we have evaluated that variation from the instrumental recordings of the tide gauges available in the region, which led us to choose the tide gauges of Dakar (Senegal), Nouakchott (mauritania) and Palmeira (Cape Verde). The analysis of the tidal series began with the test of presence or absence of significant trends in the series using the man-Kendall method followed by the decomposition of these series using the SSA, ARImA and SLT techniques, which would result in the trend, seasonality and residues. The results of this analysis show a variation of 1.52 mm/year, 4.51 mm/year and 20.08 mm/year respectively for the Dakar, Palmeira and Nouakchott tide gauges.

Background: Spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) is a life-threatening infection occurring in 8% - 30% of ascitic cirrhotic patients;different laboratory diagnostics play a pivotal role for rapid and effective management of SBP patients. Polymorphonuclear leucocytic (PmNLs) count in Ascitic fluid (AF) is the mainstay for the diagnosis, whereas the diagnostic role of alternative biomarkers is rather controversial. In many studies, serum lipopolysaccharide binding protein (LBP) was elevated and Complement 3 (C3) level was significantly consumed in AF of SBP patients. Objectives: To evaluate the diagnostic value of serum LBP and AF C3 in HCV-cirrhotics with SBP in relation to other well-established serum and AF markers. Patients and methods: One hundred and twenty patients with HCV-cirrhosis and ascites were enrolled and consented: 50 patients with non-SBP ascites in group A and 70 ascitic patients diagnosed with SBP according to clinical suspicion and PmLs count in AF ≥ 250 cells/mm3 in group B in addition to 15 healthy individuals considered as a control group. Serum LBP, CBC, kidney and liver function tests, CRP, fasting and 2 h PP blood glucose and HCV antibodies were measured. AF samples were sent for C3 level, culture, PmNLs count, LDH, CRP, total proteins and albumin. Results: In patients with SBP, the level of serum LBP was not significantly high (p > 0.05) with best cut off value at 0.4500 and poor AUC (y and specificity (53.3% & 57.7%, respectively). AF C3 was significantly reduced in AF (p most excellent AUC (0.889) with good sensitivity and specificity (82% & 84%, respectively). AF culture showed significant difference between both patients groups (p y (33.3%). In a three-year study, the response of four cultivars of chickpea, Bulgarit, WIR-32, Jordan and ICC 11293 to irrigation with TW (treated wastewater) and FW (freshwater), using surface and subsurface drip irrigation was investigated. Wastewater generated from Al-Quds university campus included black, grey and storm water was treated by small scale pilot plant. The wastewater pilot plant consists of tailored made secondary biological activated sludge process with daily capacity of 50 m3. The influent and effluent chemical and biological quality parameters were routinely monitored and analyzed. The data reveal that the average values for BOD, COD and EC for the effluent are 50 ppm, 136 ppm and 1.4 mS/cm over 2 years period. The results of chickpea growth parameters and the chemical and biological analysis of the seeds and leaves indicate that the cultivars Bulgarit and ICC 11293 can be irrigated with TW without any loss in yield and quality. Factor analysis reasonably favored Bulgarit Cultivar irrigated with treated effluent over other cultivars. WIR-32 and Jordan cultivars showed significant reduction in their growth parameters when irrigated with TW as compared with FW. Surface and subsurface drip irrigation gave similar results in most cases. Soil analysis in this study showed no significant difference between irrigation with TW and FW.

Background:many disease-specific factors such as muscular weakness,increased muscle stiffness,varying postural strategies,and changes in postural reflexes have been shown to lead to postural instability and fall risk in people with Parkinson's disease(PD).Recently,analytical techniques,inspired by the dynamical systems perspective on movement control and coordination,have been used to examine the mechanisms underlying the dynamics of postural declines and the emergence of postural instabilities in people with ***:A wavelet-based technique was used to identify limit cycle oscillations(LCOs) in the anterior–posterior(AP) postural sway of people with mild PD(n = 10) compared to age-matched controls(n = 10).Participants stood on a foam and on a rigid surface while completing a dual task(speaking).Results:There was no significant difference in the root mean square of center of pressure between *** out of 10 participants with PD demonstrated LCOs on the foam surface,while none in the control group demonstrated *** inverted pendulum model of bipedal stance was used to demonstrate that LCOs occur due to disease-specific changes associated with PD:time-delay and neuromuscular feedback ***:Overall,the LCO analysis and mathematical model appear to capture the subtle postural instabilities associated with mild *** addition,these findings provide insights into the mechanisms that lead to the emergence of unstable posture in patients with PD.

Visible Light Hydrogen Evolution over α-moO3and α-moO3/ZnO Hetero-Junction

moO3 and 5% moO3/ZnO were prepared by impregnation method using (NH4)6mo7O24, 4H2O as precursor and ZnO as support. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electronic microscopy (SEm), infra red (FTIR) and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance (DRS) spectroscopies and photo-electrochemistry. The XRD pattern showed that the MoO3 powder treated at 700°C is a single-phase crystallizing in an orthorhombic structure with a direct optical transition (2.70 eV). The hetero-junction 5% MoO3/ZnO was photo-electrochemically characterized to assess its feasibility for H2 production under visible light. The capacitance potential (C-2 f(E)) characteristic of MoO3 plotted in Na2SO4, (0.1 M) electrolyte indicates n-type conduction with a flat band potential of -0.54 VSCE. The photocatalytic activity was performed for the photoreduction of water to hydrogen under visible light illumination. The best performance occurs at pH ~ 7 with an evolved volume of 5.9 mL.
